“Taurus Rebate Scam”
I submitted everything for the
rebate and never received anything back from Taurus. I talked to a representative at the gun show and they said never buy from Taurus. They told me the rebate is a scam and only a small percentage of the people who submit them every get a response. Furthermore they said that is the reason Taurus offers a rebate. It’s only to get you to purchase their gun and they know that they won’t have to pay out. He said do not buy from Taurus and to be skeptical of any mail in rebate scams because they won’t honor them. There are far too many better options when it comes to purchasing a gun. Thanks.Taurus USA

The firearms themselves are OK, in a pinch. Customer service is horrible. Sent my .40 cal in because the mags wouldn't stay in the gun. They emailed me and said I had the wrong mags. They are the mags that came with the gun. Then they claim there was a Customer Induced problem with the slide. But they could replace the slide for $85.00 dollars. And it would be the blued slide because they don't have any of the stainless like mine. If not they would return my gun with a Letter stating it was unsafe to shoot. Never heard such junk in my life. I have 3 other Taurus firearms that I will be trading in soon for ****** or *****. I was warned by friends not to buy Taurus. But I wanted to buy a few firearms on the cheap. Learned my lesson.Taurus USA

BBB, thank you for the opportunity to address Mr. Monaghan concerns. The magazines provided by Mr. Monaghan were not the correct magazine and the slide on the firearm was bent and would not go onto the frame. Also, the firearm was disassembled. Our warranty only cover's repairs that are not customer induced. The offer to replace the slide is still available but there is a service/part fee required.Review fromTom M

I'll have to agree with Keith B. I've owned a PT145 for 21 years and never had an issue until 3 weeks ago. I wanted to purchase a new firing pin but when I called CS they informed me that they were sorry but the pistol had been recalled years ago. They gave me three choices. I could return it for a new pistol, receive a cash payment, or keep it. Being I wouldn't be able to purchase any new parts I chose to receive a replacement. This pistol had been my primary CCW for 21 years. I have fired thousands of rounds through it and NEVER had a issue. I received the new firearm in 12 days and Taurus paid for shipping both ways. I also corresponded with CS constantly during those 12 days and they were easy to reach and very receptive. I will continue to support them.Taurus USA

Straight up got robbed ordered a promag for my g2c was sent a shipping number but it was returned to sender because they conveniently left out my apartment number I've been tracking it on usps and it says it was delivered back to them and they didn't send it back with the right address so I'm left without my order or my money reached out to them via website with no response even tho I attempted to contact them during business hoursTaurus USA

******* **23 I bought a Taurus revolver it was not functioning properly sent it back to Taurus. They responded and told me that the firearm was out of spec. Didn’t have to destroy an issue me a new one. This left me having to pay for a transfer fee back in my name so I went out to ******** ** ******** which is 45 minutes from my house to receive the new firearm. After looking over the gun, I decided to not except the firearm and bought a different Taurus revolver brought it home shot it only got five shots through it. A piece of bullet came out of the firearm and hit my ** **** *** daughter in the face. Call Taurus sent it back didn’t hear from him for weeks told him I was not comfortable with the firearm anymore. I wanted a different model. I just wanted a reliable gun. After weeks of no response, the gun is just shipped to my house and dropped off. Never offered to help make things right or compensate me for transferring guns in my name or paying for gas to travel back-and-forth. I was always a Taurus fan I had multiple guns or theirs . I do not think I will ever buy another Tauras firearm again. They could’ve kept me as a customer if they would’ve kept me in the loop or even offer me another firearm within that price range close to it but after trying to respond I always got the same response until my gun just showed up at my house. Communication there ***** when it comes to customers, I just wish they would’ve tried to make things right with me to top it off now if my daughter was hit in the face with a piece of bullet, she scared to fire any kind of gun I was really hoping this would’ve been a sport me and her could’ve bonded over but now that’s over. I even emailed them and told them I was thinking about final complaint and all they responded to me was thank you for updating your account. They seem not to care with the image of their own company is. I really dislike this firearm that I received. I do not trust it.Taurus USA

Yea I did not trust that gun so I train it in and bought ***. Came home got my daughter that is ** and when shooting second shot a peace of bullet shaved off and hit my daughter in the face. She was just getting in the shooting. I’ve been waiting for her to get old enough so we can enjoy together now she’s scared to shoot a gun. I tried reaching out to Tauras tell him I wasn’t comfortable with that firearm anymore. I want something done about it because I had to go through to firearms transfer into different guys my name, and drive 45 minutes each time. I do not trust that gun this has coasted me a lot of money and robes me of somthing I was looking forward to do with my daughter. Because she dosnt want to shoot now.michael h

I still have not talked to Taurus. I got some emails but this review is not ever spoken about. I don't feel safe shooting this firearm and I am mad they no one ever reached out me about the gun when it was in for repair, I told them then I do not want to have this gun back. and it was sent to me anyway. my daughter was hit in the face with a piece of bullet. and I still have the peace that hit her in the face. I own a few of their guns and they are fine but the revolvers are not. if some contacts me and make things right then i will remove this reveiw if not I will move forward to the next step.Review fromTyrone C

I bought a Taurus holster in the order I paid shipping cost and got it but it didn’t fit well so I just wanted to exchange a different one so I contacted customer support and they asked me to ship it back with my own cost for exchange. This is ridiculous so be careful with your orders.Taurus USA

I purchased a taurus TX 22 competition.It jams 4 to 5 times every magazine. I have sent it back 3 times with zero improvement. I regret ever buying this gun and will never own another Taurus product. Tried to take the Taurus survey to rate customer satisfaction and the site is as bad as my gun.Taurus USA

1 starI have experienced continued issues with this company since approx September 2022. The firearm that I needed parts for was imported by Taurus/Braztech years ago but since they have changed the company name many times since then, they will only warranty items made under the most recent LLC. After many back and forth with the company, the solution provided to me is that they will have the parts I would require put on their website for customers to buy. It took about 8 months and in June 2023 I purchased the parts off the website. I thought this would be the end of this issue and a resolution for all, I was sorely mistaken. The parts that arrived were unfinished, the incorrect caliber, out of spec, and many other issues. I contacted the customer service line as soon as this was discovered thinking this was a simple mistake and that it could be corrected. A week later after not hearing anything I called customer service back and it was discovered that I was never sent the return shipping information. This time I received the shipping information and told the customer service rep about the parts and that I wanted to ensure that they would send the correct and finished parts. It took two more weeks for the parts to come back and it was the exact same issue. This company is sending out parts that can cause catastrophic damage to both the user and the firearm if installed. I even sent a information sheet showing the issues with the parts and it seems that was not even taking into consideration as the exact same issues were with the parts returned. I was told that customer service attempted to call me ONCE while I was unavailable and since I did not answer, no email was sent and no further correspondence was sent. Some of my parts that I sent back for reference that were correct were taken and then refunded without my acknowledgement. This company has MAJOR quality control and customer service related issues. Ordered 2 magazines on *****2023 from **************. Received a package with one magazine ****/2023. Waited a few days and heard nothing so contacted customer service, they claimed there was no second mag on order. Sent a copy of invoice. After some back and forth they decided the magazine was out of stock even though it has been available to order every day for the last month. They cancelled the order without any notification. It was up to me to figure out what was going on. ***/2023 was told they would refund my money and I could reorder the mag with a separate shipping charge which I had already paid. The magazine has at no time shown out of stock in the last month and is available right now. It has now been almost 4 weeks since I placed this order and all I have is a bunch of useless apologies from customer service people who seem to know nothing and care even less. To be fair I have ordered a number of items from Taurus with good results in the past. Evidently with this company everything is good until it isn't, then you are *******. Once cancelled, if a item comes back in stock, the order is not resubmitted from our end. A request to have the item refunded has been submitted. However, we will reach out to Mr. ******** no later than end of the day to day to go over other options.
