4.22.2025 is the date of service I am disputing. They were paid $979 on March 10, 2025 to install a water pressure regulator and $679 on March 25, 2025 to install a new water heater. Over charged but paid in full on time since there are limited plumbing services available. March 31 a check for $2,500 was sent, as an estimate was provided but was incorrect as I had hired a ********* to do the prep work, so only plumbing services were needed. April 1 ***** Hobby promised to provide a revised quote for bathroom remodel asap but failed to provide until toliet and shower fixtures were disconnected on April 21, leaving me no choice but to accept his proposal as tenant was without water. See email attachment for details of dispute, which cost me over $5,000 to fix their mistakes. Resolution $0 due to incompetent plumber

    *********,

Regarding the service calls in March, you were quoted prior to the services being rendered and you approved the costs. These costs were the exact same when they were invoiced.

With regard to the bathroom remodel. To start with you were in a hurry to get this done, which is understandable as the tenant was without use of the facilities. We rearranged our schedule and actually rescheduled some other clients to meet your accelerated time line. The first proposal that I submitted to you did include the demolition or what you refer to as the prep work. At your request I resubmitted an amended proposal that did not include the demolition. This amended proposal is referenced as the exhibitin the contract you executed. During the period of time between April 1 and April 21 I was personally in contact with your *********. I was not clear what was being done by the ********* or what would remain for us to complete until April 21, at which point I promptly sent an accurately revised proposal reflecting the new, reduced price. When our crew arrived onsite the day of service, they discovered that during the demolition phase the water piping serving this bathroom group was severely damaged. We recommended replacing it with a superior product, the cost for which you approved and executed a revision to the proposal.

I would now like to address your email to me dated May eighth. You first state that due to the fact that provision 6d of the contract was not met, you refuse to pay the remainder of what you owe.Provision 6d reads as follows The failure to make available or deliver the Services in time and manner provided for the contract. We did in fact deliver exactly what we said we would in the exhibit and furthermore; we delivered the services in a timelier manner than was previously agreed upon. This, of course,in no way voids our contract. Next, you state that we used plumbers putty to install the drain on the shower unit. This statement is false, we in fact used silicone caulk to install the drain as per the manufacturers instructions. You state the toilet ****** was installed incorrectly. We installed it so the top would terminate flush with the finished tile surface, this is standard practice. Your ********* called one of our technicians after the work was done and said they would prefer it to terminate on top of the tile. While this is not how it is usually done there is nothing wrong with installing it this way. Our technician offered to come out and remove the ****** but the ********* said they could remove it and we could install a new one when we set the fixtures. You state the shower valve was installed incorrectly. The valve was installed correctly, the handle simply needed to be removed and reinstalled in a different position to make it operational. We intended to do this when we set the fixtures at the conclusion of the project. You then accuse my helper of failing to install the enclosure in a professional manner. I do not know what you mean by this? You state that the shower fixtures were not sealed to the enclosure. I am not sure exactly what you mean by this, but if you are referring to the shower valve trim plate, this item has an integral seal on the interior portion of it to serve this purpose.

In your email you repeatedly accuse my helper of these improprieties and praise ****** for his excellent work. The person you refer to as my helper was in fact the senior/lead technician on your job. **** has over twenty years of experience in the plumbing trade. He has been with my company for over two years and is an exemplary, highly skilled technician. ****** is also a highly skilled technician but has much less experience than ****.

I do understand that home maintenance and repair can be a daunting thing to navigate, especially when you are not involved in it every day. Our company has been in business in our Appalachian area for over fifty years serving local clients. I have personally worked in the plumbing trade for more than thirty five years, so we have a very intimate knowledge of our craft. You mention in your complaint that you have spent more than five thousand dollars to fix some supposed defects. I sincerely hope this is not true. Even if the issues you cite in your email did indeed need to be addressed the cost to make the minor changes should only cost a few hundred dollars. I would be more than happy to arrange a site visit with you or your liaison, myself, and **** free of charge to address any of the above concerns mentioned. If there are indeed things that need addressed, we will correct them at no cost. I am confident we can come to a mutually equitable conclusion to this matter.

    Respectfully,
    ***** *. Hobby

I am rejecting this response because: Plumber is lying. **** used plumbers putty on my brand new shower enclosure and it wasnt until my tenant showed him the instructions that he removed the putty and used silicone caulk. After consulting with 5 experts they all agreed ****** was not installed correctly, which would have caused substantial damage in the future if we didnt fix. Shower installed with a 1/4 inch gap despite a perfect fit with dry set by my *********. Obviously using quotation marks for my ********* implies prejudice against a professional and l****** Shower valve installed incorrectly. DO NOT WANT Christian Plumbing anywhere near my home or be subjected to any further insults and harassment. 0 balance due

    Sincerely,

    ********* ******

    *********,

I have represented the situation as accurately as I possibly can. I am sorry you are not completely satisfied with the results of the shower installation. It is common to have some small variation in results when comparing a dry fit with a permanent installation. Practically the shower will function as it is intended to. From a professional stand point the closet ****** can be installed on top of or flush with the tile, it makes no difference and will not cause property damage either way. As I previously mentioned we are more than happy to replace the ****** at your preferred height absolutely free of charge.

In an effort to bring this matter to an equitable conclusion, I am willing to offer a small discount on what you owe. This should cover the charges for someone else to reinstall the closet ******.Aside from this discount you will still owe what you agreed to pay for the services we rendered on your behalf. You may call our office or email me directly to discuss these details.

    Respectfully,
    ***** *. Hobby

I am rejecting this response because: as previously stated I agreed to pay for competent, professional service which I DID NOT receive. In communication with numerous people in the *********** area, NO ONE had any positive comments about Christian Plumbing, they have a reputation for doing business without integrity.  $0 balance due NO FURTHER HARASSMENT

    Sincerely,
