      I purchased an iPhone at the Cricket store for my 11 year old to use. The phone has a manufacture warranty and insurance. The iPhone is having charging issues. The iPhone will not charge at all. I took it to the Apple store for repair. The store employee took the phone to send for repair. The iPhone was sent back to me without repair or replaced. The iPhone was in my child's possession for only 2 months. The warranty should be honored to have the phone repaired. I don't understand what the problem could be that the business can not fix what is wrong with the phone they sell. The company is still charging me for the air time service but I do not have a phone to use to make the calls. How is that justifiable?

In her complaint, **************** details purchasing an iPhone at a Cricket Wireless authorized retail store for her 11-year-old child, the device has warranty and insurance coverage. The iPhone was having issues charging and she took it to the Apple store for repair. However,after being sent for repair, the iPhone was returned without being fixed or replaced, despite being in her child's possession for only two months. *************** believes that the Cricket Wireless warranty should cover the necessary repairs, as the device was sold by **********************. She highlights that she is still being charged for wireless services without having a working device to make calls. **************** is requesting assistance to resolve this issue.

      I a trying to see if my name has been in your system andreique green or *********************************, cause people been hacking my devices and want to see if my devices or my name has been in your system, I have already reported it to the police. Just in case. In the year 2015-2024. If so I want to be called back and emailed. I been seeing a lot of people come around me hacking my devices and some be drug dealers I don't know orseen around or heard about. Pull out there phones when they come around me, so just in case it's already been reported, and if my husband or his women is hacking cause they don't suppose to be on it either.

      This ************** is in response to a complaint filed by ***********************. In her complaint, **************** states that she purchased a phone from Cricket Wireless; however, Cricket Wireless would not unlock her phone to use it with another carrier. **************** is requesting assistance to unlock her phone.


      We contacted **************** on July 3, 2024, to discuss her complaint. After reviewing her account, we discovered that she used the device with the ********************** network for four months and five days after she purchased the device and activated the service. We explained to her the portion of the Cricket Wireless device unlock policy that addresses the six-month tenure within the Terms and Conditions of Service. Cricket Wireless Terms and Conditions can be found at: ******************************************.


      Although ****************** device did not meet the Cricket Wireless unlock requirements, we provided an exception for the time in-service requirement and unlocked her device. We explained the exception to her and she did not have any other question and/or concerns for Cricket Wireless.

      May 21 2024 I paid cricket wireless $65 for my phone bill. I dont know how this happened but the money went onto an old account a phone number that is no longer active so when I figured this out, I called them and was told they couldnt help me. I asked if they could just take the money and put it onto my current phone number and they said no, then they asked me for my pin number which I gave to them and I never have changed my pin number so it was the correct one. They said it was reset when the phone number became deactivated so Im not sure how Im supposed to know what it is now they said they had no access to the account. If I wanted to purchase a Sim card I could go back to my old number for a month, but I did not want to do that. I just wanted my money put on my current phone number . When I asked to speak to supervisor. She said she had none. Is there anything else she could help me with . So in short I paid $65 and received no goods or services. Thats theft.

      This ************** is in response to a complaint filed by *****************************. In her complaint, **************** states that on May 21, 2024, she paid Cricket Wireless $65.00 for her phone bill. After she discovered that the payment went to an old account with a deactivated wireless number, she contacted Cricket Wireless customer care and was informed they could not help her. She provided the old account *** as she never changed it,but the representative explained that the *** was reset when the ********************** number was deactivated. Therefore, they were unable to access the old account. When she requested to speak to a supervisor, she was informed that a supervisor was not available. **************** expressed frustration as she paid but did not receive any goods or services in return, feeling that the situation amounted to theft.She is requesting her money to be transferred to her current wireless number.

      We contacted **************** on July 11,2024, to discuss her complaint. After reviewing her account, we found that the payment of $65 went through a different Cricket Wireless account that is not associated with her current wireless number.

      We explained to **************** that to perform a transfer funds request between accounts, the authentication process must be completed. For this reason, **************** agreed to receive a credit to her current wireless number for the value of the misapplied payment and we provided her with expectations about her next months bill and balance due.

      On 3/2022 I bought a phone online using affirm to finance it I received the phone but returned it within the 710-day policy I received confirmation they received the phone, But I was getting charged from affirm saying they never received confirmation from cricket to keep paying my bill so it doesn't affect my credit. (I ve paid the loan off ) I have had numerous conversations with both companies they kept jerking me around saying to call cricket than cricket saying to call affirm I have been going round and round with both companies for almost 2 years Cricket never told affirm they received the phone so therefore my loan was still valid I've since paid the loan off so this ****** phone cost me over 1100. interest from the loan. I've been hung up on I have all the info about the phone dates and receipts affirm states that till they get confirmation from cricket that they have the phone than my account still needed to be paid so it wouldn't hurt my credit but cricket keeps passing me to person to person than i get disconnected i call cricket at least once to twice a month and i get nowhere but high blood pressure and anxiety every time i think about dealing with this I would like all my money back the price of the phone plus all the interest i had to pay affirm. Please help me get my money back

In her complaint, she mentioned purchasing a phone online in March 2022, using Affirm for financing. Despite returning the phone within the 7-10-day policy and receiving confirmation of its receipt, she continued to be charged by Affirm due to a lack of confirmation from Cricket Wireless, resulting in additional interest charges.Despite her efforts and numerous conversations with both companies over almost two years, the issue remains unresolved, causing her significant stress and financial burden.

      We contacted ************** on July 2,2024, to discuss her complaint. After reviewing the documentation provided, we explained that we would further investigate the return of the device and verify if any refund was processed previously. We scheduled a call-back.

      On July 17, 2024, we contacted ************** and explained that we found that no refund was processed for her order; therefore, we process a refund check for the cost of the device. We advised her to allow 7-10 business days to receive the check in the mail. She confirmed that she was satisfied with the resolution and had no additional questions regarding this complaint.

In his complaint, ************** expresses frustration with Cricket Wireless for selling him a six-month contract without his knowledge, leading to his iPhone 13 being blocked. He adds that he purchased his phone unlocked; however, he was informed that the phone is locked to Cricket Wireless, and now he is being forced to pay six months of service. ************* has been trying to get assistance to resolve his issue with no success.He is seeking a resolution to this matter.

      We contacted ************** on July 5,2024, to discuss his complaint. After reviewing his account, we confirmed that his device is eligible for the Cricket Wireless flex unlock policy, however, we were unable to complete the unlock process for his device due to a system error. We explained to him we would send a request to the manufacturer to unlock his device remotely.

      On July 8, 2024, Apples support team confirmed that **************** device was successfully unlocked. We contacted him and shared that his device was unlocked successfully. We advised him to reboot his phone and he confirmed that his device did not show any locks.

      I went to a ******* store and bought a phone for cricket. I came home and went to call Cricket to port my number from a previous carrier the customer service guy told me I'd have to buy another sim card. The stores were sold out so I called customer service and they said I could buy it at any cricket store. So I went to the cricket store in ******** at *************. I told the manager I just wanted to buy a sim card. He refused to sell me one. He said I had to buy service to get the sim card I told him I already had the service. He would not comprehend that. So I called customer service and asked customer service he said no you can just buy the sim card. **************** and the manager at the store argued onu phone for 5 minutes about this. The manager first said I can't just sell you a sim card it's more complicated then that. I said no it's not. **************** said no it's not and he said " customer service don't know how we do things in the store" . So I had to order another Uber to get home and when I got home I called customer service and told them what happened and said with ALL the trouble I'm having you all need to send me a sim card. The girl said we don't sell sim cards..I said yes you do and she said no we don't. I said can I get a manager on the phone and she said hold on. Then I got a rude sarcastic guy named **** on the phone. I had to explain the whole thing alllll over again to him. He said well we can't give you a sim card but you can go somewhere and buy one and have them port over for you. He totally disregarded everything I said and everything I was put through and how I was lied too. I don't appreciate this treatment. AND NOW I HAVE A GUY NAMED ****** WHO WROTE ME A EMAIL SAYING HE IS FROM THE PRESIDENTS OFFICE AND HE WILL CONTACT ME SHORTLY..NEVER HAPPENED. THAT WAS 3 DAYS AGO. THE LIES ARE BUILDING UP

When she got home, she called customer support to port in her ********************** number and the representative advised her to buy another SIM card. She then visited a Cricket Wireless authorized retail store to purchase a SIM card, but the manager at the store refused to sell her one. She adds that she contacted customer support again and demanded a new SIM card to be mailed due to the difficulties she experienced.Lastly, she explained she escalated the call and the supervisor explained customer support cannot sell her a SIM card and advised her to purchase it from another store to get assistance with porting in her wireless number. She expressed feeling misled, and is requesting compensation for the time, effort,and expenses incurred throughout the process.

      On July 8, 2024, we contacted her via email to discuss her concern. We shared the information and the required steps on how to port her wireless number over to Cricket Wireless, starting a new account or adding it to an existing account.

      On July 9, 2024, she contacted us via phone conversation and informed us that she was no longer interested in porting her number over to Cricket Wireless and she requested a financial compensation due to the inconvenience she has experienced. We explained to **************** that we are unable to provide her with the compensation she is requesting, and she abruptly disconnected the call.

      Called corp office Cricket ************ June 24, 2024 to resolve an issue with my cell phone ************. Instead of fixing my phone they cut it off and before the due date of June 28th. I did not authorize this but corporate wants to review voice tapes before cutting phone back on. My phone number is up for grabs as it was taken back too. Since i had no way to talk to anyone about my problem I went to Cricket Store in *****. She was very helpful but couldnt fix my problem and called their corporate office again but no results (she has ticket numbers and id numbers of people i talked to) and this is almost 11 am the next day. Not a word from a soul at Cricket. My phone is still off. I have no other contact phone so manager at Cricket store in ***** has all details of this situation and will contact me if they ever make a resolution to cut my phone back on. If they leave my phone off then I want a refund for days not on, about 5 days. After reading other BBB complaints on Cricket it seems this happens a lot with cutting off phones. So are they running short on phone numbers or what? Either way as an elderly citizen, our phones are a life saving resource and not to be taken lightly with being cutoff for no reason and without my permission. It seems as if Cricket wants your money but gives you no phone service in return.

      Dear ********** ************ correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by *********************************. In her complaint, ***************** states that on June 24, 2024, she called the Cricket Wireless corporate office to resolve an issue with her wireless number. She reports that instead of fixing her issue, her service was canceled before her bill was due, which was on June 28, 2024. She asserts she did not make this request and adds that the corporate office informed her the voice tape would be reviewed before her wireless number could be restored. Due to the cancellation of her service, she was left without any means to communicate and visited a Cricket Wireless authorized retail store for further assistance. The representative was helpful but still could not fix her issue. ****************** is requesting the reactivation of her service.

      We contacted ****************** on July 5, 2024, to discuss her complaint. After we reviewed her account and verified the interaction she made on June 24, 2024, we confirmed ****************** did not request the cancellation of her wireless number. We offered to reactivate her wireless number at no cost and include one free month of service, but she informed us that she is no longer interested in having Cricket Wireless service due to the difficulties she experienced attempting to resolve this issue. She explained that now she has wireless services with a different provider and requested a refund for the unused service.

      We honored Ms. ******** refund request and processed a refund of her last payment back to the same payment method she used. We advised her to allow 5 to 10 business days to reflect on her bank account.


      Lastly, we assured her that Cricket Wireless takes pride in our customer experience and is committed to providing excellent customer service. We shared with ****************** that we have escalated her experience to our call center executive leadership teams and assured her they will investigate further with managers and representatives.****************** confirmed she does not need additional assistance from Cricket Wireless.

      I've spoken to numerous representatives who advised me I needed an e-sim to correct my service issue. I talked to a representative who told me I needed to update my phone. I purchased a new iPhone 15, and the problem is still occurring. I decided to go to another company and was advised I would have to stay with the company for six months before I could get a new phone.

In her complaint, she asserts speaking with numerous representatives who advised her to get an eSIM to correct her wireless service issue. She was also informed by a Cricket Wireless customer care representative to update her device, which she did by purchasing a new iPhone 15, but the problem persists. Upon considering switching to another carrier, she was explained that she would need to remain with the current company for six months before being eligible for a new phone. **************** is requesting for her device to be unlocked.

      We contacted **************** on July 1,2024, to discuss her complaint. After reviewing her account, **************** confirmed that she is still experiencing issues with her calls. We informed *************** that we would open a technical ticket with our network support team to further investigate her concern as we confirmed we have worked with **************** before with performing troubleshooting steps to improve the quality of the network, but her issue is persisting.

      We contacted **************** on July 8,2024, and explained to her that the result of our investigation indicates that no network issues were found, her wireless account has high mobile data and calls usage. We recommend the use of the Wi-Fi calling feature for data and voice usage to enhance connection.

      Additionally, we validated that she had used the device with the ********************** network for three months and eleven days after she purchased the device on March 21, 2024. We explained to her the portion of the Cricket Wireless device unlock policy that addresses the six-month tenure within the policy. Cricket Wireless Terms and Conditions can be found

      Although Ms. ******* device did not meet the Cricket Wireless unlock requirements, we made an exception and processed the unlock for her device through the ********************** app. We requested that she reboot the device and confirmed to **************** that once she activates the device with the carrier of her choice, her device will automatically connect to the new network. She confirmed that she did not have further questions.
