This individual is incredibly unprofessional. We gave him a down payment of $4k on an $8k quoted project of replacing our engine. We dropped the boat off in mid-August of last year. He told us that he would have the work completed within 2 weeks. After consistently giving us the run-around, lying, making up excuses, and dodging phone calls - I gave him a hard deadline of 4/30 to complete the work on the boat. He never sent us pricing or any additional information on other work that needed to be done. He just kept referencing that we needed to talk about more work. We arranged a meet up and he did not show up. He then ignored our calls for 4 hours and texted us back at the end of the night being very aggressive. He also moved the boat without knowledge to another location and we had to go driving around and eventually found it ourselves. We are currently pursuing legal action against him as he is holding our boat ******. At this point, he is trying to charge us more money but based on the text messages we received he still does not have the new engine and has done nothing but open the existing engine. Do not give him your business. He is a scam artist! I am happy to provide any supporting documentation needed, including the receipt, call logs, and text messages.

January 28-2024 Details about the Boat Shop owner communication by text and phone *June 9 -I took the boat to his shop.*June 22- I got a message that the timing chain broke (port side) and the steering cable from the side of *** broke.*June 29- I went by his shop to get items off the boat and inspected the *** steering cables and nozzle cover were damaged. I confronted him about it because there was no damage to that side of the engine when I took the boat to him. It was obvious that he backed the trailer against a retaining wall in his shop and caused additional damage to the boat. At first, he tried to deny the damages but at the end he agrees to repair the damages at no additional cost. (This is the time when I realized this guy was not honest and could not be trusted)*June 30- I provide my cc to him for the necessary work and approved $2,900 *July 14 and 20 no responses from him about status of Boat.*August 10- got a note that parts arrived.*September 5- no response from him after multiple attempts and calls to him *September 22- he sent a picture of the cover jet nuzzle that rusted and broke when he tried to remove it, however that is the *** cover from the engine that he damaged, I suspect it was damaged at the same time the steering cables were damaged.*October 13- he says still waiting for parts.*November and December, I called a few times, but it went to his voice mail directly.*January 25. I went to the shop to get the boat back and one of his workers called him on the phone because he was not in the shop. He did say to his employee that the timing chain was installed but it will not be confirmed until I take the boat to another mechanic this coming week.*February 23, I sent a note to ****** about a refund for services that were not provided. No response from him.I took the Boat to another Shop, and they were able to repair the boat in 3 weeks. They had to fix the damage that was done by ****** Slade shop. Many Thanks ***************************
