    I took my son ****** to mountain lakes medical in August of 2022. (Acct # *********. I have sent multiple requests for an itemized bill and left messages with the billing office concerning my bill. This bill also took more than 7 months to finally arrive. I have tried to dispute with their billing office certain billing. First, my son was seen for a fish hook in his finger. We were in the facility for barely 15 minutes. They simply numbed it, clipped it with wire cutters and removed it. No stitches or anything. The antibiotic took longer to fill. However, ML charged my insurance nearly $1500 leaving me owing $1005.93. From the bill I have seen they have charged for things that simply never happened. There was no triage, no masks ($8 a piece) and 3 $400 "ER" charges. I have requested in writing an internal audit of my bill. There was no incision made or anything. My main issue is after multiple attempts to contact them that go unreturned, I get a bill in the mail that says, "you now have 10 days to respond. Your account is eligible for collection agency efforts." I have never once said I wouldn't pay the bill but I have repeatedly reach out for questions about my bill before setting up a payment plan. Since March, all of these calls and letters have gone unreturned.

    I went to an appointment with a ear doctor who is covered by my insurance on 4/17/23. I paid my co-pay and three months later received at $672 bill with no explanation of charges. I have called this medical center repeatedly to speak with someone in the billing department. Every time I call I am lied to. I am told there is only one woman in the billing department. She is never available nor does she return calls. I have asked if I can come down to receive the explanation of charges in person and am told, "the woman would have to come down stairs to talk to you, but she is no on site so I'm not sure how that would work." Every time there is a different excuse. The billed charge matches nothing from my insurance company. I need to report this fraud billing department and company. I refuse to pay this without an explanation of charges. The entire community is ** in arms over their own experiences with them.

    I have been seen in this facility for regular infusions, X-rays and sometimes ER visits. I have **************** and have never had a lapse in my coverage. All my procedures were covered by my insurance. I received a ******************* time ago (within 3 yrs) for the amount of $ ******. I phoned the billing department explaining I have insurance. They did not know what happened other than someone in the office did not submit to my insurance and they would submit my bill. Apparently they did not. Assuming everything was okay, I had not heard anything more about the $****** until recently when Credit Karma said I had a new collections account on my credit report. Mountain Lakes Medical Center and their inept billing department turned my account over to ***************. This is not my fault this business erred and did not bill my insurance. I want this mistake corrected, insurance billed and removed from my Credit file.
