      Just started banking with synovus as we switch from another bank cause we moved and synovus was closer to us. Let me start by they are robbing people with over draft fees. I was told when opened account that we had a 100$ over draft amount if it went over a 36 dollar fee would be charged, but they charge multiple over draft fees which is hard on folks living pay check to pay check. My money gets direct deposit twice a month so they get their money, but the added over draft fees are robbing us every month. We will definitely be going back to Wells Fargo they did not do this to us. Had wells Fargo for 15 years and was always treated nicely there and not robbed each month in over draft fees. This is a horrible bank.

      This bank charged me late fee when I mailed my payment on time. It was stamped by the post office 3 days in advance. Not my fault the post office was late delivering my payment past the due date. The $50 charge should be removed from my account.

      This bank should not be in business! Jamie is the worst experience you will ever have! He literally hangs up on you! Technology of the bank is outdated and unfriendly! Bad bank policies
      Take your money out cause this business is probably going to close at some point ( they are already closing branches etc)

      After 20 years of personal banking i am saying no more terrible customer service. They do not care.
      I know lots tellers - great people, bank policies .....i have no words...i am disappointed and upset. 1dt Bank an Trust was wonderful until Synovia bought it. Sad....

      Terrible company, says one thing and then does another. Had checking, loan and revolving line with them. Closed them all! Over two years to resolve a matter of forced placed insurance, they forced placed a policy for a building on property that was never theirs to put collateral on. There was a office trailer on it, not a building. I had title. The land was the collateral. They agreed, but took two years to get it done. They threatened me and told me different excuses along the way. They refunded the premium, but not all the interest I paid while it was added to the loan? I'm out over $600.00. No contact that can get anything done without corporate or department approval. You get the run around. Stay away, worst banking experience in 45 years of does business.

      Returning combat veteran. 3 years ago, i made the mistake of banking with Synovus. ******* without me enabling autopay, snatched half my rent money without consent... Synovus fought for me, gave me my money back and went after *******; earning my trust. Any fraudulent activity, they notify me to ask if it was me. When i say no, they treat me like I am the criminal and their punishment goes straight to customers. The card is void, and i have to travel 2 hours to the nearest branch. Can't use my own money unless i went physically there where I'm treated as a low class scum bag. It's like my own money is hostage. They take almost a month to get you a replacement card. Their 888 number assures you that the local branches can give you a temporary card... And the branches always say they don't know what the 888 number promises... ALWAYS. THE straw that broke the camel's back... I lost my mother, had to handle her affairs, and was about to get a check from her life insurance. Got in a car accident a year ago, and a year of surgeries and court dates left me hurting financially. But a settlement was reached. So, i had two large checks on the way.Well, a scam company sent a flat priority USPS envelope to me. Inside was a check from Fibre Fidelity for $4707.23 .Nothing but the check. Had the hologram, my full name, etc, i signed the back and deposited it in the atm. My account was locked after a week. Jamie said the check posted, human staff confirmed the same, and the synovus app confirmed it.Yet the balance wasn't reflected. Untill I noticed my account was locked for "logging in multiple times with wrong info" . So i called and was treated like a homeless person begging for change.These scams are sending out to millions everyday! But they lock my online access to my account for 60 days! My actual settlement check came so i went physically to the branch and the staff doesn't see a disabled vet, they see trash. Watch their response here. Copy & paste, no contact.

      I have had my account for two and a half years and it just keeps getting worse and worse. The employees at my home branch are FANTASTIC, but Synovus's procedures and policies are just pathetic. Their new "interactive assistant" Jamie answers every phone call and is excruciatingly slow. I just waited 25 minutes on hold to speak with someone in customer care about a statement issue I am having. I was then charged $5 so they send an ELECTRONIC statement to my email, which is absolutely ridiculous. Being charged for printed copies is understandable, but emailing one should not cost the customer any money. I am taking my business and my assets elsewhere. This company should be investigated. All they are worried about is putting as much money as possible into their CEO's pockets. Absolutely awful company and banking experience.

      Synovus bank is possibly the worst bank to ever do business with. I have spent hours of my "free time" trying to correct/ understand , hazard insurance that was placed on my mortgage loan due to the incompetency of bank personnel. I have left the "Supervisor" messages in regards to trying to fix this mistake, to no avail. No returned phone calls. I have been told by multiple customer "care" representatives I would be contacted back, weeks went by, no calls. Literally, the only reason I am forced to bank with Synovus is because of the loan type I am currently using for the purchase of my home. Horrible horrible horrible company.

      I have a mortgage with this Bank, because my original lender sold it. When I did the closing, they took everything they need to cover all escrow accounts, they transfer my mortgage and I received all money they transfer to Synovus Bank, I paid the first month with no problem, even in ******* I received my papers for taxes and the escrow account was good, in ******** I received my statement by mail perfect, but when I call them to pay the computer said I have a balance for escrow account for some money in equal amount of 1 month escrow. I call the bank representative and let them know it is a mistake, she said is not problem, I will email them to fix the problem. Every month I paid extra for principal and recored specific those amount goes to principal. what happen? they took the extra money I paid and cover the the extra escrow they said is short.
      I call them and explain everything again, I send proof of transfer they did from the beginning.
      in a few words, this bank in ****** still taken money form my extra payment from principal, no answer, the last time was the past */**/2022. I told them y need to speak with a supervisor, nothing.
      they have a recorder conversation and I have the emails I sent them to confirm is not escrow pending.
      I never miss a payment, never paid short, never paid late.
      the greedy banks charge you for everything, I need my money on principal posted the days I did, because if they post after y did the payments. I'm not going to pay any money extra for your mistake.
