long story short...trying to get reimbursed for almost 12 months. Staff is not thorough; I have been asked for more and more documentation. Of... which has already been sent..... ..waiting period of up to 90 days--totally exasperated. I would not even give them 1 star but only option,

I'm on the "do not call" registry, and they keep calling, yet, this company keeps calling my personal cell phone to sell its service to the company I work for. I don't own the company, so to call my personal cell should never happen. I've gotten three calls in two weeks from people cold-calling. I asked the rep how they got my cell, and she said she searched for it online. They call me early in the morning or evening. My father is in the hospital, and my heart stops every time the phone rings. Unknowingly, I pick up these calls.
Just to give some background, I've told many reps for the past 10 years that we do not want their service and to please stop calling. The reps state that they are unable to stop as everyone is from a different agency. Now they are cold-calling my cell. When I asked the last rep why he thought calling my personal cell was a good idea, he stated, "Well, you're not responding to me when I call the business." That is insane!
This company is officially harassing me now with their workers.

AFLAC refused to pay out on an ICU policy even after they were provided with medical records and documentation. The customer service representative also refused to acknowledge that mode of arrival listed as EMS on the medical records indicated the patient had ridden in an ambulance. The representative instead suggested that the patient rode in a police car to the hospital and therefore was not entitled to the ambulance benefit.

Trying to file a claim on the website is challenging. Some days the website just hangs and you sit and watch the wheel spin all day. If you try to talk to a chat agent, you're lucky to be #26 in the queue, as I was, to finally get an agent assigned and then dropped, so you have to go back and try again. I don't think anyone is actually manning the chat lines. Then you have to call and you get an agent pretty quick, but they can't do anything to help expect to tell you to read your policy and then file a paper form by mail. Really below the standard expected. And using the mail really delays payment. I notified them of a refund request back in March and it is now two months later and I still haven't received the check in the mail. It was supposedly processed on the same day as the rejection notices for two other policies that I received promptly. The website does work some days, but from the number of unhappy customers that I see on this site, that is not a normal day. They are completely unconcerned about helping those who unwittingly pay their bills for years only to be treated poorly when they dare to ask for the benefits promised under the policy.

I spent 17 years with Aflac as a sales manager. The headquarters support, professionalism, and day to day operations (claims, additions, cancellations, refunds etc..) have gone so far downhill that I could not ethically sell their products anymore. During my last year representing Aflac, I would spend almost 30 hours a week attempting to fix headquarters mistakes. Aflac used to have professionals that supported the field at headquarters, now it's a ghetto, not my job attitude and no one is held accountable for their mistakes. Mistakes that would affect my income and reputation. 20 years ago Aflac was a giant, now they are sinking like the Titanic.

When I had the coverage, it was great. It was through my employer and the rep was also great. When my employer switched benefit companies, I decided to keep my ***** and pay for it out of pocket. The time finally came when I needed to cancel my policies and that is where the nightmare began. I cancelled in March of 2024 and was told I would be receiving a prorated refund. All seemed well. That was until a payment was deducted from my account for April. I called them asking why they had taken money for a policy I cancelled the month prior. They reviewed the notes on my account, apologized and said they would fix it and issue me a refund. The first refund I was told about in March never arrived, nor did the one from April. It's now May, and again, another payment was deducted. I called again. Same scenario. I just received a check from them that was nowhere near the full amount that is owed to me. I call again asking why. They did not backdate my cancellation to the original date in March when I originally cancelled my policies. So, now I'm to wait for them to (hopefully) issue me the remainder of what they owe me. Bottom line, this is not how to do good business. Collecting money on accounts that have been cancelled and the cancellation has been recorded and therefore is legit is not ok. Failing to issue refunds for moneys owed due to their errors is not ok. I will not be using this company in the future. (Side note: when my employer cancelled them for the company I work for, the same problem happened to them. Money still drawn for polices that had been cancelled and then having to fight for refunds. There's definitely some fishy business practices going on here.)
