  This was a big mistake. I understand the intention behind it but this whole process has been so bad. I put money on my account with them because I was under the impression that my process was complete, only to find out that you need income verification to qualify for any rooms ( even with a deposit ). I overlooked this as i figured it was something I missed in their policies.I called to attain my refund and I was told it would be in my account within the next few days. Two weeks pass and I hadn't seen anything in my account so I called. The lady I spoke with tells me that I had to receive another call from them, verifying I wanted the refund ( I have seen no such call ). I have had to sleep outdoors as I have no family and now I'm being told that I won't receive my money back from them because I didn't answer a verification call. This was never expressed to me. I am in shambles due to the lack of communication with this company. To add insult to this very serious injury, I requested to speak with a manager and was told there is not one you can speak to. They told me they have to write a ticket .

  BE careful if you are African American. Let this be your last resort. Try Airbnb if you can afford it. They don't even allow you to see the star rating of the home until after you move in. To begin,I am new to padsplit and my experience has not been good. First, entering the home really looks like a boarding house (as it is). The pictures are not as advertised. Nothing is updated in the home I was in. It smelled like old cigars, musty basement, and just uncleanliness. The bathtub is also peeling. Second, two Keys (the management company) did not clean my room. I took pictures and requested a partial reimbursement of only $50 ************* charged me $150 when most move in fees are $100). I was told the pics were not sufficient enough and that I could be looked at as a nitpicker. They dismissed the pictures I took of roaches, a dead moth, hair all on the floor, a dirty mop after I mopped the floor. Third, two days after moving in the air conditioner was not working. It was 85 degrees. I had to leave. So, not only are they refusing to give me a partial refund, but I also have to continue to pay for unlivable conditions that forced me to leave the premise. I do not like bringing race into this equation. However, a part of me feel that this company thinks it is okay for Blacks/African Americans to live under these conditions. We are nitpicking when we complain about living in filth. It's the epitome of covert racism. At this point I just want a refund to get out of this nightmare. If the company responds to this complaint, I already know what will be said, "we are sorry you were not pleased with our service. We set high standards to ensure all rooms are cleaned. We ask that when there is an issue with clean that pictures be taken to show the condition of the room"...but then they reject the pictures to avoid reimbursement. They will do whatever they can to avoid doing what is ethical. They especially prey on African American communities.

  No hassle application and no hassle move-in process. Roommates are courteous and friendly. House is always clean and orderly. Lastly, flexible rent payment options.

  Lower your expectations. This is not a studio apartment or a 1 bedroom or a luxury *********. its just a place to grind and save money. Ive stayed in various padsplits for the last year and some are good some are bad depending on the owner. I was able to save up to buy a home. Alot of issues would be avoided if they allowed potential renters a walk through before a financial commitment is made. Parking is always an issue . Unsavory roommates and personality conflicts will always be a problem. Good, Internet, hotwater, A roof and a little personal space is your expectation then your fine. Good place to stay if your in a life crisis(divorce.,etc) and you have no children.

  Padsplit is definitely a great way to save money on rent. My rent dropped significantly after moving into a Padsplit home. The rent is reasonable and all inclusive and most homes include great amenities like free high-speed wifi and a washer/dryer in the home. Most homes also have digital keypad locks on the front door and your bedroom door and have security cameras. My home is located in a quiet neighborhood and I like my housemates and feel very safe here, which is important for me because I'm disabled in a wheelchair. I'm happy with my decision to move into a Padsplit home.
