I purchased a house in ***** ********* ** in Aug 2022. I hired Cingo to do the home inspection prior to closing. The inspection was done on Thursday, Jul 21, 2022. The report states that the water supply lines are made of CPVC. A supply line ruptured under the kitchen on Jun 8, 2024. The plumber that came out to repair it stated it was a galvanized supply line that had rusted through and needed to be completely re-piped, a repair that costs thousands of dollars. I know from other pictures in the report that the inspector had gone into the crawlspace and would have been able to clearly see the supply lines; they are even visible from outside the crawlspace. This is only the most egregious error in the report. Galvanized pipes have not been industry standard since the 60s, so this information would have factored into my negotiations with the sellers. The only thing Cingo did well was include verbiage in the inspection agreement to limit their liability to no more than the inspection fee. I believe I am entitled to a refund on my inspection fee under these circumstances, but Cingo has denied my request.

      Mr. ******,

Let me address your concerns regarding the home inspection conducted by Cingo at***** ******** *** ********* ** *****, on July 21, 2022. In our report the inspector stated in Condition 23 (Active Plumbing Leaks) "Have a licensed plumber replace all leaking components", in Condition 25  (Active Drain Leak Noted) "Have a plumber replace all defective components and ensure proper operation" and in Condition 24 (Supply Lines Unsupported) "Have a licensed plumber make corrections if the overall piping system has been poorly installed". At that time, if any of the plumbing was not up to standard or of issue, it should have been addressed by the plumber recommended to repair/replace or evaluate these issues. It is our responsibility to inspect and report the findings, but it is your responsibility to act on the report and its content prior to your purchase. Unfortunately, you did not do this therefore we are not able to issue a refund.

Cingo of Dublin GA, continues to send me falsified billing statements for services of which I have neither requested, nor even asked for a quote.

This is a manipulative advertising tactic and has forced me to spend time engaing with my real estate agent and selling party to confirm this was not signed on my behalf.

The company is providing a "statement" implying sevices were rendered on the day of my closing, but after being asked, they acknowledged I had not requested service.

      Please halt this practice.

No deception was intended. We were simply offering a continuation of the termite warranty protection on the home that the complainant had purchased and the previous owner had maintained. We have cancelled any further offerings and will not continue to attempt to correspond with this client.

I have been a Cingo customer since 2017, with a termite bond in place. Twice a year inspections and 5 years later, termites have found their way inside my walls. The communication style between the managers and the customer is awful. I've had to beg the main office for call backs and any communication at all from the field managers. It took the company 2 full months to make a determination that the repairs were not going to be covered. One person made the determination after two pictures and two 5 minute in-home looks at the baseboards. Upon a contractor tearing the wall open, multiple studs have been eaten up to the ceiling plus more. I pay for termite protection. There was no protection from this company, and the lack of professionalism from the managers is off the charts.

Our inspection of this home revealed a serious moisture issue in the wall where the termites were located. This moisture issue caused damage to the wall including wood decay damage as well as some mold issues that were noted. The moisture has been coming through due to faulty construction features and improper groundwater drainage. When moisture issues are present, termites can continue to infest and damage a treated structure, although in most cases wood decay damage is much more prevalent as it was here.
Our termite warranty states clearly that it is the customer's responsibility to correct any above ground moisture conditions that can support termite colonies and that Cingo has no liability for treatment or repairs until those conditions are corrected. Unfortunately, the damage that occurred was not visible until very recently. We also have treated the area to eliminate the infestation with a liquid termiticide. Our Operations Manager and Repair Specialist were both involved in the inspection and verification process to determine the causes of these issues. We were delayed a bit getting this resolved for our customer due to some sickness and scheduling conflicts.
