I have owned a base model *** 528i for almost two years now, I take very good care of it as I just love the car. I took it to pioneer for an oil change about a month ago and from the very beginning I was treated like I had no idea what I was doing by ******. I have always put normal synthetic oil in my car as it isnt any special performance car, he insisted that it takes a special oil and a ******mi oil filter for 120$, I have never paid that much for an oil change in my life (my car is only a 2.0L 4cyl) nor have I gone that long without an oil change so as to avoid engine damage. After a bit of condescending back and forth I get the normal oil change I always get with normal synthetic oil. They give it back to me and send me on my way, no issues. Then, I begin to notice oil spots under my car on the driveway the next day, I waited to verify it was leaking and took it back, they replaced the drain plug and said it was fine, it was not. I took it back again maybe a week or so later and they again replaced the plug, and said it was fine. Much to my surprise it was still leaking. I took it back again and they looked at it for all of 10 minutes, told me it was the oil pan, and quoted me 2700$ for it. I then explained the situation and how I had never had an oil leak leading up until then, ****** told me it was leaking when I gave it to them. The thing is, nobody told me during the first visit, so I had a very hard time believing that seeing as a leak would be something kind of important to let the customer know about. On top of this I have never been told I have an oil leak by other shops like valvoline previously, and as I said I did not have any oil spots on my driveway. My family mechanic even said I should take it back and ask if they would fix it because its likely they caused it, I asked this and ****** straight up just told me no because it was leaking when I gave it to them, I am now out of 1400 dollars from another shop because this shop ruined my drain pan.

this place is FRAUD! not only did they charge my warranty almost $7000 & were paid for it!! but did NOTHING! the invoice that was sent to my warranty was completely different then the 1 that was printed for me. example..new turbo replacement but change my oil!! I've had my car looked at after the fact & still factory parts!!!!! & when I complained to corporate his response was "well at least you got your brakes done" !!!! so now my car continues to have the initial problem that I took it there for! they kept my car for 3 months & done NOTHING to it. ill wont go in to detail what the manager was texting my phone while on the clock!! I've reported to my ************** sure they will get the money back but I'm the one screwed in the end!!!

I am rejecting this response because:

thanks for another copy of the invoices that were provided to me but let's see the ones you sent my warranty because those don't match up! no one has called me since I talked to ***** at the ******* location who told me NOT to answer any calls from locations since everything had been reported by me to him!! I initially took my vehicle to the Halls TN location on ************ Hwy for inspection of why it smelled like something was burning when I accelerated. that's when "J" told me it was the turbo charger & that's what my warranty was invoiced for. I was then told my intake manifold gasket was leaking & my car was kept for almost 3 months & I checked daily/weekly on my car with response from "J" via his personal number saying "waiting on gasket to come in on phone with these *** now" ...I have all those texts printed out no worries! the initial problem was never taken care of. the last time I was there at that location I was told oil was leaking from "somewhere " but they were to booked up to get it on a lift ..when i asked if they warranty their work .I went multiple times & called multiple times always the same answer. Just like when I got the brakes & rotors & suspension worked on the brakes were still scrubbing & front end still making noises & told I didn't need an alignment (I have the print out) yet my car is literally pulling so hard I've went thru 3 sets of tires but they fixed the issue right??? I have the invoices that were sent to my warranty as well as the texts sent to me from my warranty on what they approved to be done to my car. regardless this place was paid & the work they claim to have done was not done correctly & my car still has the issue meaning it was never fixed in the first place.

I am rejecting this response because:

this is literally the same letter that was posted to my initial complaint! yes I took my vehicle in ** it had a weird smell almost like it was burning. the technician said it was oil leaking from hose on turbo charger. the turbo charger was NEVER replaced. my warranty was billed $2335.03 on this visit. I have the text message where the technician said he was waiting on manifold gasket to come in he would let me know when it was received. since when does a warranty pay for oil changes & brakes. oh the brakes that were almost $1500 were still scrubbing the next day!!! I honestly don't think I trust this company to fix the job. I got ******* voicemail ..he has called 1 time & even left that on the msg ..my lawyer will be returning his call.

      Sincerely,

Took my 2003 ********** ******* into ***** ******** this week for a check engine light. Shop is on ******** and ************ in ******************** told me they had pinched a wire in the engine while replacing a gasket in the past and would replace it under warranty. They told me all would be covered.I opted to get $308 of non-related work done. I was told on the phone my total when I picked up my car would be $308.When I went to pick up the manager said I owed $1200. After a long arguement he reduced it to $600 or he threatened to take in my car and take back parts.I had to go to work so I paid under duress. I called the shop to resolve the $300 over charge and was told no, they were going to keep the charges.I advised I would file with BBB but the manager did not care to honor his word.

On Wednesday April 2nd,2025 I took my car to Service Street at **********,located in ******,*********I took my car there because it had been giving me trouble when I drove it for the last time prior to taking it there.I dropped off my car,a Chevrolet Sonic 2013.Later that day I got a text from them so I called them back so they could tell me what was wrong with the car. They gave me a list of things that needed to be fixed. All repairs were worth over $1400.The next day,Thrusday,I had to call them because they had not communicated with me till then.I was told the repairs needed were done and the car was ready for pick ***** I picked it up that same day before 11am.That day I drove my car to work, there were no signs of failures or problems on the car.I drove it the next day and everything seemed to be working normally.Come Saturday I drove it again and nothing wrong happen till past 8pm when I was heading home. The same problem for which I took my car to the shop in the first place happened again: the thermostat light on the dashboard came on,meaning that the engine was again ************** what I did then was to stop driving the car.Eventually I got home.Since Service Street is closed on sundays I was not able to take it back there on Sunday.I took my car back to them as soon as I could, which was Tuesday morning.I talked to somebody who identified himself as the store manager and I explained him the situation, what had happened and that I had already paid $1400 to them to have it fixed which they had apparently not done.He grabbed my key and I drpped off my ******** thing that happened is that I did not receive any updates till I called them on Wednesday April ******.The answer I received was that they were testing in that very moment and that they would communicate with me when they had results. Then,I received a text stating that the cost of the repairs needed on my car is $10000.I obviously said no the repairs and they still wanted to charge me $200 for testing it.

We took our Van into them to have the oil changed but it was doing some odd idling, so Service Street looked at it. They claimed they could fix it, i have a warranty and my deductible is only supposed to be $100. They called us saying the all-state warranty would only pay for the labor and for some parts but not all. I thought that was odd but I work where people depend on me and is sometimes life or death . we paid the $600 out of pocket and i thought i would take it up with the insurance. when i picked up the van it was still doing the same thing it was doing before, idling really rough. they told me the mechanic who worked on our van the last time did not put the parts back in correctly and i needed to go back to them to just adjust their part and it would be fine. I know nothing about engines so we took it back to our other body shop and found out they lied. My van has been sitting in that body shop now for 3 weeks, they are replacing the entire engine which totals $6,000 in repair cost. Service Street outright lied to me and the insurance. I am on the phone now with the warranty company (all state) they never denied my parts, I am asking for more than the $600 back for all the back and forth my husband and i have had to go through.. I made an attempt to reach out to Service Street, but they refused to return my call, we tried corporate and i even tried to reach the President of the company on Linked In.. no one seemed to care.

Thier response is not accurate !  Our warranty is a $100 debatable that is all that should have been paid. The other shop told us that what they did was not nessary and anyone with morals would not have charges us anything. They did not fix the problem the entire issue would have been covered by the warranty, They lied to us!! You can't tell me that one shop charged almost $2000 but a full engine replacement was then required.. and why would it cost use out of pocket almost $600. Please don't fall for it they are not being truthfull. Yes my husband said they could do what they needed too but it was agreed they would go through the warranty.   I spoke with the warranty they should not have charged anymore then *** detectable because all the parts should have been covered. Our guess is they wanted to go cheaper and didn't want to put in the extra time.   I have attached the bill that was fully covered by our warranty because Plummers (then other garage was honest and did the proper steps through the warranty).  The picture of the cost is page 2 of 2 . Very unethical practices!!!!!! This should not be allowed and is illegal

7/10/24, I took my 2011 ***** IS350 to Kerrys for an oil change, tire rotation, and general car review before a trip to **. On way back, 7/18/24, I had to pull over because we heard a loud pop noise come from somewhere underneath the car and then saw gray smoke coming from the back. We exited the Hwy and stopped at a *******. I looked underneath my car and at both of my rear tires and noticed that both tires had large splits on the inner wall of the tire. I was concerned so I called my insurance company, and requested to have the car towed back to **. ****** only covers up to $100 per tow and due to the distance, that tow was going to cost closer to $1200. Tow truck company finally arrived around 9:45 PM and the 3 of us rode in back seat of the tow truck from the ** to our house in AZ, didnt arrive until 1:30 AM, 7/19. Later that day(7/19), brought car to Discount tire in ******, ************************ to have the tires reviewed. They noted that the tires had been in that state for a long time, even before I initially brought it to Kerrys before leaving to CA. I then took car, old tires, Discount receipt to the Kerrys where I had initially gotten the service done on July 10th. I spoke to the general manager, *** about what had happened. Asked Kerrys to simply reimburse me for the $1100 that I had paid for the tow from CA. I followed up with *** several times in the next couple weeks and was continuously told that he had heard nothing back from the corporate office. I decided to stop in on Monday, August 26th to see what was going on with *** and why I had not heard anything back from him or the corporate office. I spoke to one of the front service technicians, *****, who had mentioned that *** no longer worked for the company, and that there was an interim general manager named ****. Filed AZ AG complaint and Kerrys denied responsibility and my request for $1100 refund for tow from CA. Not happy and dissapointed in Kerrys. Put me and fam in danger.

I dropped my 1966 GTO off at ************ on 09-22-23 to fix 3 issues: overheating, shifting grinded and the trunk floor needed to be cut out and weld a new one in. The mechanic told me it would take a few weeks. While it was there, they dented the rear quarter panel, tore the front seat, caused the check engine light to stay on constantly and gave me the run around. The car was to be stored inside - it was not, and now the dash has major cracks in it. They damaged a new radiator that was in it. They moved the car several times and did not even tell me. They lied, misdirected me, avoided phone calls and never fixed the overheating or shifting. The trunk was welded in but was very sloppy and needed to be redone. They took it to a body shop who is fixing it now. ******* does not want to paint the damaged area either. They also put an electric fan in and then took it our without telling me causing holes to be drilled into the car. They told me to drive it home one night. I drove it a mile and it overheated. Then they were closed, and it took me 4-5 hours to get home. They have not fixed anything and only made it worse. The ** Attorney General was contacted but nothing is happening. They need to give me my $14,000 back. I missed out picking my sons up from school as they are graduated now. ******* was notified that I needed my car back for this. It is going on 17 months, and I do not have my car back or my money.

I was overcharged for car repair parts. 8 spark plugs @ $118.58 a piece that retail @ $37.98 a piece, also 3 ignition coils @ $250.22 a piece that retail @ $153.82 a piece. Gross markups on repair parts for a warranty claim. My warranty only covered $1437.73 and I had to pay out of pocket $2652.97. They also charged me a shop fee of $150 that should've been waived because it was a warranty repair. I believe I'm owed the difference in the price markups of the parts that were not covered under my warranty repairs which were the ignition coils and spark plugs.

On 1/31/25 I had an oil change at Kerry's Car Care on ********************. I paid a total of $315.20 as I also purchased a 5 pack of pre-paid oil changes. It was listed as 2 separate charges of $213.85 and $101.35 as I decided to do the pre-paid oil changes after the original transaction was completed. It was paid for with a credit card. The next day I checked the oil level and it was overfilled beyond the maximum **** recommended by the manufacturer. I returned to ******* and they fixed the overfill. I was not happy it was overfilled to begin with and therefore I wanted a refund for the pre-paid oil changes. They had given me little cards to exchange for said oil changes. I was prepared to give them the little cards back in return for the refund. They would not put a refund on my credit card. They said it had to be done through corporate. I asked for the phone number for corporate and he said it was on the receipt. However, it was the same number as the shop. I researched through the BBB and on Kerry's Car Care website and attempted to correspond by email and phone to discuss the situation with corporate. Apparently Drive Automotive. No response to either. I will gladly pay for the work that was done but want a refund for the pre-paid part.

I took my vehicle to this shop I believe three times and they never managed to figure out what was wrong with it. It had an engine light on and ran a little rough early morning. They charged me for diagnostics, spark plugs, fuel system service, and injectors cleaning. The car ran worse, and the engine light would still be on. As I returned to get it fixed, they told me they needed to diagnose it again. The last time I was there I told them my car was running worse than when I first took it there. Finally, I had enough when one staff member got up and with a loud voice, told me my car was "pissing oil" all over and that they needed to fill the engine with a die to see where the leaks were coming from. In essence, they were guessing. To date, my car has never leaked oil. I ended up taking it to a nearby auto repair site (EAS Tire and Auto) and they immediately knew what was wrong with it. They replaced the Center Inner Cooler pipe along with the spark plugs. So, Pride Auto Care charged me more than $693.00 while they used the wrong spark plugs, couldn't figure out what was wrong, and still the car ran poorly. I request your assistance as I have the invoices and the parts they used to support the expense and incompetent diagnostics they conducted.

      Customer Answer

      Complaint: 22912145

I am rejecting this response because: I am glad the business was able to provide the times I visited their center with the same complaint. Nonetheless, every time I went back they wanted to charge over $300.00 to diagnose what was wrong with the vehicle when in fact it should have been discovered in the initial diagnosis. I chose not to return because I felt they were "guessing" what was wrong with it and trying to use me as their bank. Similarly, they provided a tow truck but never told me they would charge over $145.00 to tow the car less than three miles (2.5) to be exact. They claimed I used the wrong spark plugs, according to EAS Tire and Auto, that's exactly what Pride did, THEY used the wrong plugs again. If initially the plugs and the cleaning they did should have fixed the problem, it obviously did not work. After this event, it became a guessing game.

The claim that one of the staff members "calmly or politely" (along those lines) approached me stating my vehicle was leaking all over is nonsense. The vehicle has never leaked and the staff at EAS Tire did not identify or claimed seeing any leaks. The staff member or manager, got up and loudly stated that my car was "pissing oil" all over in front of the client he was assisting. His attitude and demeanor clearly showed to me that he had an agenda and that is to make clients feel either stupid or idiotic. This happened right after I told **** that the car was running worst then when I first took it to them.

In essence, their reputation based on public opinion is detrimental and repetitive when it relates to complaints and their work performed. I felt they could have just told me they couldn't fix the car and that would have been much better than trying to squeeze money out of me. I stand firm by my claim and if this doesn't remedy the situation, I may recur to a law suit for subtle extortion as their claim that the car needed further diagnosis and other processes to fix something that is non existent is indeed manipulative and utter rubish.

I brought my car in because the check engine light started flashing. I had it towed directly to Pride Auto Care in *********. They quoted me $4300. The list was a bunch of things that had nothing to do with the check engine light in addition to the three things that would correct it. After we Shaved some of the nonsense stuff off, that didnt need to be fixed, They only got down to $3100. I got a second opinion and my quote was only $1700 with every single thing Repaired out the door.
I went to go pick up my car And transport it to the second quote, and it was dead. The mechanics were rude, there were three of them out there, trying to give me a jump cussing at the cables and telling me that they couldnt leave them on longer to charge them, that they had to do a slow charge or I needed to buy another battery. They told me the battery would be $500.
My girlfriend and I were able to go Ahead and successfully jump it with my own battery cables so so that I could move the car from their lot.
I feel much better and safer now that my car is away from them and I would highly recommend staying as far away from them as you possibly can. They were a complete disappointment. Dishonest, and price gouging at its finest. If I couldve put zero stars I would have.

No services were performed on my vehicle. Only a $209 diagnostic And if I had $159 tow.
I had no battery problems before I brought my vehicle there and suddenly my car is no longer starting and theyre telling me my battery is dead and trying to sell me an overpriced battery for $500. Technically 482. Same thing.
The only question I have is how are you still in business?
Oh, maybe I do have one other question, how can two women Get a jumpstart on my vehicle successfully in under two minutes and three men couldnt do it in 15 minutes?

My vehicle has been in their shop for a blown head gasket since August 28!!! Ive been told by 3 other master mechanics this job shouldve taken 10 days max here we are going on 6 weeks! And they STILL arent sure why they cant get it to start after reassembly SMH never again will I trust this business.
Maybe theyre fine for small simple stuff but I would NOT recommend them for anything else. Unless you have hundreds to spend on a rental because theyll have your car well over a month!

      WILL NOT BE BACK

Took my car here after we replaced the engine along with a host of other parts and it still would not start. During the week they had it, I was never contacted by anyone, I had to call to get updates. Although I gave my number to them three different times, they continued to call my father and allow him to authorize tests and repairseven though it is my car and I had communicated that them multiple times. A week later I called and they said my car was starting and ready to be picked up.

When I got there the technician showed me how to start the carby spraying brake cleaner into the engine?!? How is that fixed and ready? He then made it clear he did not have anymore time to look at it and did not want to work on it anymore.

After charging me $750 for not fixing the issue..I took my car straight to the dealership and within one day they identified it had a bad fuel pump and fixed the issue.

I had a new turbo installed, it went within 6 months and they refuse to warranty it. Have tried several calls with no action to honor warranty.

      Complaint: 22912145

I am rejecting this response because:

The photos Pride submitted do not match my vehicle's engine! I have attached one current photo of my engine and as I mentioned, it has NO LEAKS. Please notice the difference in the line I circled on the left side of the engine, it does not match what they submitted. Plus, the alternator and vecinity are dry.

      Sincerely,
