We had our battery die. The battery light came on. We dropped off our car and told them we want the battery replaced. They insisted on doing a diagnostic. That was $162. They told us we needed our transmission replaced. We asked them to please just replace our battery and we would then pick up our car. It took them days to get the job done. They told us they were doing us a favor and not charging us for labor. The final bill was $537.95. I have never paid any amount near that for a battery before. The last mechanic charged us around $200 to replace our battery. It took service Street 5 days to change our battery. Our car is running fine without having replaced the transmission. No lights are on.Drive Automotive Services, Inc.

To whom it may concern:Dear ***************************,We do appreciate you bringing this to our attention and we apologize for your frustration in this matter. *************************** brought her vehicle into Service Street on 4/8/2023 advising the battery light came on and the instrument panel went off then the car turned off while driving. The shop completed a battery starter test and found that the battery had low voltage and the alternator was not charging correctly. The customer replaces the battery every year. The alternator is built into the transmission and the customer was unhappy with the shops recommendation of replacement of the alternator as well as the cost of the battery. The shop performed the following repairs; diagnostic and vehicle battery. As noted on the invoice all of our repairs come with a 5 year/50,000 mile pro-rated limited warranty.Once again, I do apologize for your experience and frustration in this matter. Please feel free to reply with any questions and/or concerns you may have in this matter.Thank you Service StreetA. S.

The shop says they only recommended replacing the alternator and battery. That is not true. They said the entire transmission needed to be replaced.Review fromAthena M

To whom it may concern:We would like to apologize to Mrs. ************************* in regards to her concerns with her vehicle. ************************* brought her vehicle to Kerrys ******** on 2/1/2023 due to the check engine light being on and customer stated she wanted a diagnostic or to isolate the concerns with the codes. This code was for an evap system leak that resulted in a gas cap needing to be replaced. Was also a stored code. po442. The technician did test the system and smoked tested both the intake as well as the fuel lines to the fuel filler neck and found that the gas cap did have a leak in it. The shop then placed a note on the ticket for the customer that once the vehicle has gone through its monitors the vehicle will need to be retested noted on the invoice and upon leaving the customer was made aware. As far as the suspension on the vehicle, the customer did not address any of the suspension items when speaking at the front counter. The shop would have been happy to address as they perform inspections on every vehicle as they come in and isolate these kinds of concerns. However, we were advised from the technician that the cv axle was leaking grease on the passenger side, and the customer had declined the repair at that time. The shop did not comprise the shocks and the tires as part of the estimate after that for the rest as the primary safety item was declined. Though the shop did write this on the ticket as well on further issues and repairs that needed to be completed. The shop performed the following repairs; diagnostic, full synthetic oil change, flush transmission service, one tire, alignment 4-wheel, fuel tank cap, air filter, automatic transmission mount and engine mounts (2).The customer declined the following repairs; window regulator on driver side is intermittently failing, all four shocks are leaking and need replaced, passenger side CV axle is leaking grease and power steering reservoir was empty when vehicle entered the shop - power steering lines are leaking and need degrease for leak location. Kerrys ******** will be happy to take care of the concerns for the vehicle in regards to the suspension, though that was not the primary concern for the customer originally. Now this technician is no longer with us so the shop will have one of the *** certified technicians assess the vehicle for any and all necessary repairs moving forward. The customer can return to any of our locations if any of the parts that Kerrys ******** provided and repaired failed it will be covered under the 5 year/50,000 mile pro-rated limited warranty stated on the invoice but to determine the issue the shop will need to inspect the vehicle. The General Manager will be happy to reach out to the customer to address these concerns or if the customer can please contact ****** at the original location at ************ to perform the warranty repair if needed. Once again, I do apologize for your experience and frustration in this matter. Please feel free to reply with any questions and/or concerns you may have in this matter. Thank you,Kerrys ********Review fromDr. Uche O

I have been a dedicated customer of over 3 years (multiple vehicles). On 3/312023 I brought my Lexus GX470 for oil change that cost $96.79. I entrusted my perfectly functional single key to the service writer on duty and he handed the key over to the technician who started and drove the vehicle to the bay. After the oil change, he drove the vehicle out. I got in my car and the key fob is broken. I involved the service writer and he escalated it to the manager (*******************) who straight up said "I am not fixing your key, it is your problem, it may have been broken ". I informed him I will invite the cops to come and arbitrate for us and he got irate and verbalized "if you threaten to call the cops on me I will have you thrown off the premises and your vehicle towed if you don't remove it in 24 hours" (when has inviting the cops become a threat?). He was so rude and was insinuating I don't know how the law works because I am a foreigner (I am a US citizen of over 20 years, have been here for 26 years and have a Doctorate degree, so I DO KNOW how the law works). He earlier stated that it was a cheap fob and he was going to replace it but if I "threatened" to invite the cops once more that he would withhold that offer. I clearly stated that inviting the cops to mediate is not a threat and he got irate and stated that I should do whatever. An officer came and took statements and issued a case number. I have been a dedicated customer with them for over 3 years (multiple vehicles) but I shall not be returning there. If you still plan on going there, please TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR KEYFOB and anything you will be entrusting to them. That will save you a headache.Drive Automotive Services, Inc.

To whom it may concern:Dear ***********************,We do appreciate you bringing this to our attention and we apologize for the inconvenience. *********************** brought his vehicle into Service Street on March 31st, 2023 advising of needing an oil change. The oil change services were completed on March 31st, 2023. *************************** brought his vehicle into the shop with an already cracked aftermarket key. The technician started the car after the oil change service to bring the vehicle around to the front and unfortunately, the key finished breaking the rest of the way. The shop advised for the customer to call a locksmith. ********************** corporate office reached out trying to contact *************************** and unable to reach the customer and left a message advising that we apologize for the situation with the key however, since the vehicle was brought into the shop with the key already cracked, we arent able to control when the key would break. Unfortunately, the shop isnt responsible for replacing the key due to the key previously being cracked prior to bringing the vehicle to the shop. Once again, I do apologize for your experience and frustration in this matter. Please feel free to reply with any questions and/or concerns you may have in this matter.Thank you Service StreetReview fromZachary C

First things first, if I was able to give this place negative stars I would. I have never seen a shady dishonest and downright unprofessional Both in customer ********************** and in their careers. My fuel pump had gone out on my **** crown Vic: I had it towed there, explained what happened, And blindly believed that they would be able to change a fuel pump and help me with my issue (that was my first and biggest mistake) A day earlier I had changed four of the ignition coils, and for the spark plugs. Which again was not the issue that was being addressed. I get a call saying that my vehicle is ready and rushed down there to get it(Pay $69 in an Uber) I was told that the fuel pump was not the issue so they would didnt replace it, instead they decided that the battery that I had was insufficient, and that the rest of my coils, and all of my spark plugs needed to be changed along with my serpentine belt. Reading the $2967.46 receipt I am baffled. It states they replaced four coils when the original coil is still in the vehicle, they broke hardware for the coils, and replace my mass airflow sensor. With this they didnt even s**** it in so my intake system was completely deleted. So for eight spark plugs, three ignition coils, a serpentine belt, a battery with tape connectors,(yes I said tape they decided to put electrical tape on my battery post because there was too much battery cable) and a mass airflow sensor that wasnt even connected correctly, I was charged an outrageous amount for quarter of an actual trained professionals tuneup. Seeing my engine after they touched it, I dont know how they have their licenses. So please please please, do not trust them with your vehicles. You will be robbed, and literally left stranded when your car dies minutes away from the shop. And for the filling manager to talk down, and completely justify Unprofessional, uneducated, in downright Tweaker-ish job I applied you. Keep robbing Halls crossroads.Drive Automotive Services, Inc.

Thank you for reaching out to us in regards to your vehicle and we are sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience. After reviewing the ticket it appears the car was torn apart and in non-running condition. The car had numerous wires cut in the engine compartment and half the coils had been replaced. Once the shop got the car able to run, it was not running as it should. The shop performed a diagnostic, flush fuel system service, battery, mass air flow sensor, serpentine belt, tune up and replaced the coils that had not been replaced. After this was done, the catalytic converters were operating at over 600 degrees. The shop advised the stopped up catalytic converters was causing additional issues with the vehicle operations. The customer decided not to fix them and picked up the car. As noted on the invoice all of our repairs come with a 5 year/50,000 mile pro-rated limited warranty. Once again I do apologize for your experience and frustration in this matter. Please feel free to reply with any questions and/or concerns you may have in this matter.Review fromSome G

1 starThis shop takes advantage of people, especially if youre a woman. I used to be an ASE certified master technician. My sister took her care to this shop a few times, mainly for oil changes. She asked them once to look into the care running rough and they tried to take advantage of here. They wanted to charge here $97 PER SPARK PLUG, PLUS LABOR, on a 2018 *** sportage. Claims the car had some super special spark plugs. I priced out new spark plugs and A NEW IGNITION COIL for was cylinder and it was still less than their prices. And to top it all off this car had 70K miles on it. Almost every car post **** has 100K plugs in it. No diagnostics were performed on the car. The actual fix was a bottle of Seafoam fuel system treatment and a new air filter. Price - about $30 Second time was when her headlights went out and she was near the shop. They told her they had to replace THE ENTORE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY, at a cost of over $400 per headlight. I checked autozone and Oriely and they were selling replacement bulbs for $30 for 1 bulbs. I checked utube and they are about the easiest headlight to change out. Most vehicles require you to remove the battery and 50 other things in front of the light. this car requires you to remove nothing. They are lying to their customers. I have all of the quotes from them to prove this. Do not EVER take your car to this shop. I wouldnt even take it there to air up a flat tire.Review fromJessica W

Service Street was my go to. Just a few months ago drove my car there to be LOOKED at. When ***** in the ******** location called me with the repair cost (eventhough he was on vacation when i dropped the vehicle off) I declined. He got irate and when I said I was picking my car up he said the car was not running at all. I just bought new tires and drove the car from ******* so that didn'tmake any sense. I had to have AAA tow the vehicle back to me 11/16/22. When I received my vehicle it was damaged and no one will return my call. I am disappointed and appalled at how I've been handled. I will be exploring options for further action.Drive Automotive Services, Inc.

********************* came in with concerns for her vehicle. Unfortunately the vehicle had thrown a belt. ********************* only wanted a visual inspection of the vehicle. Upon this inspection it was noticed the serpentine belt had came off it had also knock loose a hose. The vehicle was no longer able to be drove. ********************* was very upset that she drove the vehicle there and was no longer able to drive the vehicle home. The vehicle would no longer start. ********************* became very irrate and couldn't understand how it drove it but wasn't able to drive home.
We have spoke to ********************* about this and had further research completed. Service Street is not responsible for the vehicle throwing the belt and knocking the hose loose.Thank you

1 starI chose them because 5 star from 370 posts. I had a suspension problem on 04 ******* Navigator; love the car. Steering fluid leaking as well. Fixed steering problem and after trying for 3 weeks were unable to fix suspension problem. $3200 dollars. They gave me the car back in worse condition than when l brought it in. They could not fix it.Upon leaving the manager said they could convert to a manual suspension (spring) for $2700.The next day I took to another shop and converted to manual suspension for $1103. Parts and labor; got car back in 2 days. My wife and I are 80yrs old, we feel we have been taken advantage of by Elite and we can't afford this. They have a sign in their office that says "BBB approved". 1 starI have done business with Service Street on ************** ******** ** for several years with no problems. However, my latest encounter was not a good one. I did approve the repairs so it is my fault. After I approved the repairs and the vehicle was ready way earlier than anticipated I checked other shops, including dealerships and mobile repair and found that Service Street charged more than double what any other location would have charged for the same repairs. When I confronted Service Street their response was that the could not control what others charged. I will not be back to Service Street again. They do appear to be knowledgeable and helpful, but their repair cost this time was ridiculous. We have 3 vehicles that we took for repairs, oil changes, etc on a regular basis. Such a shame as they as close and convenient. I only gave them 1 star as I could not leave a review with no stars.
