I went to bank ozk in June to be added to my dads account while he was hospitalized, I was asked to complete a lot of tasks some unnecessary and in addition to my power of attorney. I began to get suspicious of discriminatory practices by the bank because I was given the run around while trying to gain access and information about my fathers accounts while trying to handle his affairs. My father was receiving government benefits that were being deposited and processed by bank ozk and the bank claimed they were unable to locate these funds as well, for a total of 6 months at this time. I was never granted any access or information about my fathers accounts while he was alive, my dad passed away on ***. ** and I was then told to go through probate to go any further with the bank, because now my power of attorney is considered null and void so to have me get additional paperwork signed in addition to my power of attorney was totally discriminatory, unconstitutional and unnecessary. After 45 days I returned with my paperwork from probate and I was told that I would have to wait to receive a go ahead from legal to gain access to security deposit boxes that my father had and there was still not a word about his benefits that were being mishandled at this point, there is so much more I could say about this bank. Discrimination, exploitation, lack of integrity, abuse of power, fraud are just some of the words or topics I wish i could expand on but im running out of characters. Also my dad had his account set up as a *** account I think this was in an effort to protect it from probate since * ** *** **** *** ***** **** ***** *** ** *** ** ****, but the bank had their own plans for his/ my accounts (discriminatory practices)
