    I was born with Spina Bifida. When I set up the appointment I was not asked if I had any physical limitations. I had an appointment yesterday at 3:30. I arrived 20 minutes early. I came in signed in, waited for an hour and a half. They finally took me into a room and asked if I had anyone with me to assist me in the chair so they can do the exam on my eyes. I explained that I did not and that I was never made aware that I would need someone. I also explained that I was able to get myself into the chair if someone could just hold my wheelchair still. They said they were not able to do that. They also said unfortunately their facility is just not handicap accessible enough for my needs. I do not think any of this is right. I can understand the office staff not asking me about my limitations when I set up the appointment, even though I do think that should be a requirement. What really irritated me was the fact that I was not asked when I signed in or during the hour and a half wait. They could clearly see I was in a wheelchair and it never crossed their mind to ask me. It was a complete waste of my time. I would just like to caution anyone with physical limitations to not go here because they are more than likely not set up for your needs.
