      This is the third occasion where AAA has failed my family! Thank goodness we were safe this time. My husband put in a request Friday 11/10 and today 11/14/23 and on both occasions our service technician never showed up and AAA customer service had no reason for it. Absolutely ridiculous to have this service and they cannot even be bothered to have their contractors/service people to show up. Thankfully I wasnt stranded somewhere with my young child.

      Read the reviews. I also had a similar experience of being told for 2.5 hours that a tow was coming on 10/18/23 only to be told at 11:30 at night that a tow would not come and I would need to wait until the next morning despite the fact that I was blocking some stranger's driveway in a town I was not familiar with. I have since submitted a claim for the $360 tow company that did come (and per them is sometimes called and used by AAA, but apparently not that night). I had to pay for and it's been 2 weeks of nothing but an auto response so I will spend more time chasing them down. The kicker is, my tow might have been cheaper had called them at 9PM instead of 11:30 if AAA had told me from the start that they would not come.Lots of wasted time and money due to this company that was once reliable. I don't know how many times I have called over the years and they actually followed through on their word and came.

      The only reason I'm leaving a 1 is because I can't leave a 0. One 3 occasions now my estimated arrival time have been pushed back up to 4 hours. As a person with physical disorder this is why I pay for AAA. At this point I'm wondering what am I paying for and are there other companies that can provide ****************.

      AAA has gone down so much from when I first purchased their PREMIUM roadside assistance services years ago. Earlier this year (Summer 2023), when I needed them for a tow, they ABSOLUTELY DID NOT SHOW UP. I was stranded on the side of the road. I kept calling and they kept lying to me that someone would help me soon. Well, I ended up calling my insurance company's roadside assistance and paid over $100 out of pocket to get to safety. AAA finally sent someone out to help me 24 hours later. I have four cars on this account. A second car became disabled and once again, AAA was a no-show! So, I tried to cancel AAA and after over 6 minutes of holding, I got bounced around to FIVE (5) representatives before I ended up with "******" to cancel my $297 yearly account. ********************* up on me. NICE! So, I had to start the whole long process again in order to CANCEL THIS TERRIBLY AWFUL service. I'm sorry. These companies just don't care anymore. They're hiring people who are soul-less! They could care less about your time or the money you spend with them. Let's give them what they want. They don't want our business, so let's stop giving it to them!

      They will take your 911 tow money, and then tell you can't tow your car, go find another tow. After telling me my memembership will be active today, if I pay this $60 surcharge. Paid $115 for memembership, $62 for same day service. We'll they deceived me I yo taking my money, now can't help myself, or buy a water on side of road, telling me they will refund me, but that'll take 3days, meanwhile I'm stuck on aide road. AAA THANK YOU, FOR TAKING ALL MONEY AND COMMENDATING ME, WHILE IM STUCK, NOW BROKE, FOR 3 DAYS WAITING ON YOU. YAY

      I have been a AAA member for 16 years. My family has used them a few times and the most recent need was unbelievable, A vehicle needed to be towed and after 1.5 days of orders being cancelled, lack of proactive communication I went with a private company and am know tasked with needing to submit a reimbursement request.The company suggested leaving the keys in the vehicle so that they tow company could come anytime -- Unacceptable. Putting the personal property as risk. Additionally, the handbook states that vehicles are not to be dropped off a closed/gated repair shops but then think they can send a tow truck after hours (11pm).I will not be renewing with AAA. The policy changes that have been implemented are no okay and it is not worth the money paid when they are not able to fulfill on the expectations.

      Let me start off by saying that I've been with AAA for ****************** ********** and now here in Georgia. I received a letter saying that they will not renew my membership. WHAT? I called because this must be a mistake. Talked with someone who told me they review accounts every year and that mine is one they will not renew. I asked to talk with a supervisor and was told there aren't any. She then preceded to tell me that once the decision is made there is no recourse. I have never heard of such a thing. AAA really value their customers.......NOT. I don't know what happened to this company but they are not what they use to be.

      Wow. I wish I had read these reviews before I paid. I'll make sure to let people know via all my social media to check this page before considering AAA. I renewed my AAA membership a month after it expired and noticed that they had my old renewal date. So I called and asked them to update it since I paid for a full year (at full price) and wanted a full year of membership. I thought it was no big deal and would be updated. However they denied it and DID NOT NOTIFY ME. Ok, now this is certainly FRAUDULENT behavior. I came here to BBB to report and will also be doing a full report to the **** And of course denying it on my credit card. AAA would not have shown up if I called them the month that my membership lapsed - yet they want me to pay for that month! And then not notify my when they deny it. The fact that I had to even call about it is bad enough - no company should be defrauding their own customers like that and making them catch it and call. So it is EXTRA clear that AAA of the south has some very shady back office people. ALSO - their page has a bad link for the "contact us" and you have to be savvy and go find the main corporate AAA page to even be able to call for customer service. More proof that this particular AAA group has people of bad character working in their office. This is the key - Everyone needs to report any FRAUD behavior by AAA ********* of the South to the *** and deny the charges with their credit card company. AAA ********* of the South is not doing the mission of AAA. And we need to raise our voices on social so that corporate cleans house at this local AAA. Fraudulent actions and poor customer service by the "back office" as the rep told me - need to be cleared out.

      My son was left stranded for over 3 hours on the side of the road at night, waiting for aaa rep to get there, he was lied to and told someone would help him and they never came, so I called and spoke to a manager as to why no one has come to his rescue and I was told no one would be coming, they had noone to help him. If they would have said this when he called originally, he could have used other options. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS COMPANY LEFT A CHILD STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ***** I AM 100% DISGUSTED.

      I have been with AAA for decades and have not had to use their roadside assistance until yesterday. My daughter had hit some debris in the road and we needed the vehicle towed to the local collision center. I placed my request at **** and as of ****, no one had showed up. Their app indicated that no driver had been assigned. I called their number and spoke to customer service. They said they had no ETA. I told them to cancel since I wasnt staying up all night waiting. I called a local towing company and paid to have it towed myself. They told me they were in the AAA network and were never called. Why do I pay for roadside assistance if you arent going to provide any? The exact same thing happened to my ex-husband last month. He was stuck for 5 hours with no response before a Good Samaritan stopped and helped him. I will most likely be canceling my membership when it expires. I paid for peace of mind and got none.
