Financial aid office will not reply to emails, answer simple questions, and giving different information about school periods. The VA approving official, requested ****** for the VA, but then told me to speak to another person, who explained that I'm not eligible for VA benefits. Which is not true, I was given both Chapter 30 and Chpater 33 benefits by the VA. I gave the letter to the school and they will not give a refund. And I was told to get FASFA, when I signed up. My FASFA was $9K and they will not give a refund.Initial Complaint

Good morning,My name is ***********************. I am a current registered nurse in the state of *******, currently practicing. And also hold a RN license in *******, currently attending Graduate/Doctorate program in Nursing.Last year, I contacted Paul Mitchell the School Esani and inquired about their esthetician program. I have been paying for the school out of pocket, costing me $1,396/month because financial aid cannot be approved for 2 different institutions. They have added an addition $2,000 to my tuition as of today. Which means, I have a month left and more money to pay them. Apparently, your full tuition is not posted all at once.Four months into the program, I began to see a shift in their commitment, so much so, that students were dropping out due to inconsistency of rules, harsh demands, and unprecedented retaliation. Again, each week, the rules are changing on how credits can be submitted for approval. What was approved last week, is no longer approved this week. I have watched instructors allow students to mock their credits on mannequins, wax papers by drawing different body parts and simulating waxing, etc. That is how most of my cohort graduated. Also, on Tuesday which is state board practice, we have always been allowed to enter credits for the state board practice (wax, tweeze, basic facial, make up, electric modality). Since I am at 91hours with 59 waxing credits left, I approached the instructor about using the wax papers, I was told unfortunately I cannot do so, without further explanations. Now I have to make a decision between completing my graduate studies, or completing my diploma at **** Mitchell. What usually happens is that students have to pay an hourly rate to finish credits after completing their hours because it is always easier to get the hours done. I tried to avoid this from occurring. I was literally told by the administration that they can NO LONGER accommodate my needs. Thank you Kind Regards, **************************:**************Business Response

In following up on Ms ******* complaint, we are doing all that we can to accommodate and help her be successful in completing the program and becoming a licensed esthetics professional.
In regards to Ms ******* documentation of her attendance needs, there have been several accommodations made for her throughout her program which are still utilized. She did communicate her work limitations and was provided an accommodation for that (which is also documented in her complaint). The school also made an accommodation to support her as she traveled back and forth the ******* (also documented in her complaint). Due to the fact that this is a clock hour program, we agreed to make the accommodations for her to amend her schedule but with her missing hours throughout the week that would in fact affect her graduation date. A gameplan was made for her to help her complete those hours, but they have to be done when there is a licensed instructor available to support her education and to make sure she is receiving the education required for her to complete the program.
Her complaint regarding the school charging her more to complete is also inaccurate. Her payments have never changed, however what she may have misunderstood is how we post chargers to her ledger. She had a conversation with out Financial Aid leader via phone where she expressed concern, to which our ** leader tried to explain verbally how posting on ledgers work in our system. We do not post the entire balance all at once, it has to be posted at certain mile markers in the program. When she stated she didn't understand our ** leaders asked Ms ****** to come into the office on her next day in house so they could sit and she could explain to her what that means and to show her that she is in fact only paying the amount agreed to in her enrollment agreement. Ms ****** agreed to do so but has yet to make the meeting even though our ** leader has reached back out.
We are and will continue to work with Ms ****** to make sure she not only completes the program, but has the tools necessary to be successful in the industry.

I pay $1400 a month to attend this school plus another $6000 that I will have to pay once I graduate. On August 6th 2024 I was harassed and humiliated by a lead administrator **************************** her license number is **********. She continuously harasses students and gets away with it. I pay too much money to continue to allow her to harass and corner me infront of other teachers. Its gotten to the point they will suspend you for being 1 minute to clock in. The towels are dirty, sheets have stains, there has been f**** on facial towels (image below), there has recently been a bug infestation in one of the dirty hampers & the hamper was not disinfected before going back on the floor, there is one lady who doesnt speak english who has to clean the restrooms, keep up with the water fountain and do laundry for both programs (esthetics and cosmo), toilet paper isnt properly stored, i have personally found blood on a brand new roll of toilet paper (image below), the restroom literally smells like sewer and I am so embarrassed that clients have to deal with that, administration isn't a safe space at all, highly unprofessional, they allowed a student with a fungal infection on the hands to provide services without gloves, instructors do not use gloves or demonstrate proper sanitation when they provide services on students, students have been allowed to store dirty linens on the floor under the massage table, the rules change every week, theres no one that isnt biased, you can forget discussing issues with an advisor because no one has a clear answer. Theres never a yes or no, youll get the run around until you figure it out yourself. Instructors form cliques and have favoritism that knocks down other students education. For example, every instructor tells different information, theres never one set answer. Teachers will allow you to perform services incorrectly, without redirecting you. Completely dissatisfied with my education.Initial Complaint

I paid my school in full, first they tried to over charge me. Now they won send my information saying I completed school over to PSI so that I can take my state board licensing exam. This is hindering me from moving forward with a job as well as just very disrespectful and discouraging. ****** is a graduate as of 6-7-24, and she never completed her exit and grades were still missing in order for her to be graded out. She never met with anyone to receive her PSI application which is given to our Future Professional Advisor to submit once everything has been completed, even though she was asked to. She messaged the *** on June 17th asking about her PSI being sent and he let her know it takes 6-8 weeks for processing from PSI. On July 12th she reached out again to follow up and was told that she would need to come in so we could get this situated together in which she missed her first appointment due to not feeling well. She finally came on July 18th and reviewed everything. He got the application she completed and submitted directly to PSI and the supervisor for faster processing. She has since passed the first part of her test and is awaiting the second part. Her request in the complaint was that we finish processing her in order for her to take the test or refund the cost of attendance. She has been processed and started the process of state board testing.
