I had my truck washed at this location shortly after it opened. There was a guy standing at the point where you choose what type of wash you want. He said whatever one I selected I could get it for a month without additional charges for the next 30 days. I asked him if I had to cancel or was it something I had to sign up for every month. He told me I would have to ask each month in order to continue the same program.
The next month I got billed 49.97. I called and was told it was an automatic charge until I told them to cancel it.
This is the opposite of what I was told when I signed up.
I want my $49.97 refunded.Customer Answer

I imagine from my experience with this company they may not resp9oned. As they do not care if they have satisfied customers or not. They just rely on volume of business.
This a sorry excuse for a business.

I was talked in to purchasing a month long pass for $26.00, in January, but what I wasn't told is that in February I would be charged $48.00, and every month after that as well. It was two weeks before I caught the charge on my online bank account and when I went to Tidal Wave I was informed that they would refund me $24.00, or i could just finish out they month, the machine also knocked my passenger side view mirror off and the said it wasn't caused by their machine and let me know that they were not at fault. I'll never go back there again and I will always warn people not to go there because of their shady a deceptive tactics.Initial Complaint

On ********* ** 2023, I bought a basic car wash from Tidal Wave in ******* *** This is the only transaction I agreed to. Every month, from September 2023 to January 2024, I've been getting charged $34.97. I did not agree to a subscription of any kind, especially one that is this expensive. I go in thinking I'm paying $21 to clean my car, and end up paying $160!!!! This is robbery and the company should be investigated for fraud.Initial Complaint

I went in and downgraded my membership ****** ****** ****, 2023 to the $23.00 per month membership and they have been charging me $32.07 per month instead.
I called customer service today *****/23 to tell them that they upgraded me instead of downgrading me and they told me they will not refund the difference in price
I want the difference refunded. There is no way for me to be able to tell once you pull in to wash the car, all you can do is rely on the car wash manager who tells you they downgraded your membership

I signed up for a monthly car wash subscription in June and discontinued it in August due to several vacuuming bays not working properly. The attendant told me that my service would be canceled and I noticed that my card was still being charged. Tidal Waves records should show that my last car wash was ****/2023 as I changed to ***** ******* Car wash. I was only issued a refund for the December charge.Initial Complaint

I went to get a wash, to clean my truck, and was pressured into buying their monthly membership for a discounted price for the first month. The wash didn’t clean my truck very well at all, and when I got home I realized my truck was all scratched up. I’ve tried several times to cancel online, and either the captcha won’t work, or there was a problem with a required field, either way, the process can never be completed and I’ve tried a lot. I think it’s a scam to keep me paying 50$ a month for a car wash!!!!! Now I come on here and see a lot of people have been having the same issue. This is a scam and needs to be investigated. I want my membership cancelled and no more money to be taken from them period. I only got the car wash on Friday *****/23. I’ll never go to one of these places again.Initial Complaint

Visited Car wash to try it out on October 2023. Attendant kept telling me of deals they had going. I said I just wanted a car wash. He said that I could get one for $30 and could have as many as I like for a month. Told him I didn't want any extended plan. He said same cost for a month free as for a car wash. So i paid him. Mediocre car wash at best. Door handled dirty still, front bumper and rear bumper. Got multiple text over the next several days urging me to sign up. I ignored and finally blocked them. Turns out, that they signed me up for recurring monthly service. They refuse to remove the charges for the subsequent month. Not their policy. We took our truck through the ***** ***** Tidal Wave car wash a few weeks ago, the driver’s side taillight came and was run over and destroyed. An incident report was filed but they are refusing to pay anything. They said my taillight was defective and that the carwash equipment was perfect and didn’t cause the problem. I spoke with the manager who seemed rather indignant when I asked if there was anything that could be done for the customer. He told me at least three times that 2000 vehicles are washed each month and this has never happened before. I am not a happy customer at all. The repair cost apparently $500.00Initial Complaint

When this new car wash opened up in our town, they were offering a promo for the subscription of 9.99 for the first month and then it would change to 23.99 for the months after. I called and requested cancellation and refund for my subscriptions in September and was given excuses on the phone on why they could not be completed. My request was charged again in November for the same amount called to request a refund cancellation Was approved for the cancellation and was denied the Refund.
