2013 ******* sonata was towed to Mike the mechanic on June 9 2023. The cars check engine light came on and started flashing and vehicle lost acceleration. ***** called Friday afternoon to say the code for the knock sensor was the only code. He said it would be $718. At 545p. I called to get a price break down of the $718. ***** told me the computer was shut down already and he would call Monday morning. I called Monday morning and ***** sent me a picture of the bill. I said I was prolly gonna go else where and have it done for half the price. ***** said they could do it for $613 and that the car was already apart, I agreed to $613. ***** called to tell me the car was ready and they had test driven and good to go. I picked the car up around 4pm. I left my rental to be picked up, I paid $184 for rental. Left the shop with my car headed 75 north and the car did it again! Check engine light came on flashing and car lost acceleration. I carefully drove back to Mike the mechanic. I was offered a loaner car and told everything was gonna be okay and they would get to the bottom of it. They told me numerous times car was not knocking. Tuesday the 13th ***** called and told me car was knocking and I needed to take it to dealership! My car is currently still sitting at the dealership! I've been in a rental since June 9th. I've spoke with ***** and the owner ****, no one seems to think I need a refund! My 2013 ******* sonata has a technical bulletin service, also a life time warranty on engine. Mike the mechanic replaced my knock sensor and it did not need replaced! It was doing its job! Still waiting to hear from dealership so we can start the process of getting me a new motor! This will be my second ******* that needs a new engine! I need to be compensated for that weekend. I spent $184 for a rental and $613 at Mike the mechanic. They did not provide me any service!
