    I hired this company Hinokawa to diagnose and repair my commercial oven. My oven is at my home at the moment. I called to schedule an appointment and was told there was a "travel" fee, $185.00 plus $20.00 for 4 extra miles, I was okay with that, the couple that came was ************* wife joined, since it was at my home. they spent several hour diagnosing and was told I needed to replace the motor. I ordered the motor and called the company back to install the motor. It too a week for them to get back to me, ok. When I received the voice message it kind of freaked me out. The voice message started with "I'm married" which is CREEPY, UNPROFESSIONAL and very uncomfortable, so I kept my distance while he ROD was installing the motor. I would normally watch to make things were being done properly. Rod finished installing the motor and left 4 screws out! I asked where do they belong??? No answer! I've sent emails complaining about the screws and they just brush me aside and will not achknowlege the problem. I explained that it is similar not securing the footings when building a home. My bill for diagnosing was $266.00 which *** and his wife **** said INCLUDED THEIR TIME. I paid the bill. The bill for installing the motor was $428.09 one person /45 miniutes. THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE, NON PROFESSIONAL COMPANIES I'VE EVER DEALT WITH. AND, JAMIES A BULLY TO BOOT! I REALLY DON'T WANT TO PAY THEM A *****, HOWEVER, I WILL PAY THEM SOMETHING, NOT $426.09.

    On 4/17/24 Hinokawa Electric was to install a new $8,640.24 inverter to replace an inverter due to rental overload. They did not report the inverter exchange to HELCO as they were required to do. From that date forward to 9/27/24 our system was not delivering power to HELCO thru net metering. This cost us over $1,500+ in power bill that period. ***** says the contractor must file a change of inverter for ***************. ***** says not there problem, employ a new contractor to file the required information. Hinokawa Electric as of Nov. 26 ' 24 - they have taken care of the problem. The owner of Hinokawa Electric has not answered my many calls. We had another contractor check the system - they say the solar system is working now. Hinokawa Electric says that their employee ****** ***** is no longer with the company. He did not correctly install the inverter. I will try to file a complain with the *** also.
