    Bait and switch? I was shown a studio apartment (#***) at the Hall at ******* apartments (**************************************************). A unit that was listed as available online for $700.00 a month. After touring it with the property manager and discussing it at length, I was encouraged to fill out the application. I liked the place so I applied and paid the $80.00 application fee.My application came back fine, credit score over 800, clean rental history, and I agreed to pay the full lease term in advance -as I am new to town and paying my way with savings for the time being.Only to find that the unit was apparently rented to someone else that morning before I viewed it.They offered other similar units that I could sign a lease for, only these units are more expensive, and the units that were offered were not of interest to me. I asked about getting my application fee back and the property manager said its non-refundable. (She said she would double check with her manager -but I didnt hear back).So, now I am out eighty bucks. Prospective renters beware.
