  Living at Apartments at Iowa has been the most unpleasant experience of my life To start off I emailed them 2 weeks prior to moving in that I would be needing to live with an *** animal and sent in the *** letter from my doctor explaining why it is needed. They didnt send a single reply until the day AFTER move in saying that the dog cannot be on the property and that I would need to wait 3-4 weeks to get approved. I went into the office to talk to them and see if there was a way to speed up the process (in **** it is required they do it in a timely manner) and in the middle of the conversation with the front desk person an old lady came up and started laughing at me and mocking me saying if i really needed the *** i wouldve had this done months in advance. (no other apartment place has needed anything more than a few days heads up which is why i didnt have it done months in advance). I ended up just leaving the office and my dad had to call and tell them we will get in contact with a lawyer if need be and all of the sudden the 3-4 week wait went down to 3 days NOW, we have been without any working washer machine for 2 months and I still havent received ANY refund for $32 I have lost from spending on broken washer machines. I sent them video proof of the washers not working AND requested a refund on the app with no response to either one. We havent heard when well be getting washers or IF well be getting washers Many other residents have also sent emails and notes but it seems no one gets any responses at all. I would not have signed my lease here if I knew what i was getting into. i dont know how it is legal to get away with a lot of their practices They *****% just prey on college students

  Its hard to believe they could be so bad. The day of moving into my new apartment I couldnt believe the lack of effort they put in. We walked into the apartment and a bunch of the trim on the walls were just off with the nails of course still in them. They were too lazy to put the trim back on and we were lucky we noticed right away or wouldve been stabbed by the nail.Upon entering the bathroom we turned on the light and 1 of the 3 lights above the mirror was out.. they were too lazy to change it. Making way to the bedroom we turn on the light and the light just flickers the whole time. Im not able to ever have my light on because of it and if someone with epilepsy rented this unit they would be screwed. And not even going to mention the horrible weed smell and garbage, and crumbs all over the floors.What came next is even worse in my opinion. After a few weeks they changed the washers and dryers and doubled the price from $4 to wash and dry total, to now $8. But thats not the worst part. The worst part is none of the washers work.. when first implemented 1 of the 4 worked and it took 2 weeks for them to get someone to check them out. But that person broke the only 1 that did work. Theyve since removed them all except for 1 (that has an OUT OF ORDER) sign on it. And irs been like this for over a month. We have not been able to wash our clothes for over a month and if you email them they dont respond anymore, they simply do not care at all.

  If I could give them 0 stars, I would. They are terrible to work with. You can not reach anyone when there is a problem with your apartment or if you have a question. It takes forever to get someone to fix anything that breaks. If your *********** falls off your dashboard, they do not share your plate number with the towing company that they hire to monitor their lots so you will get towed and charged over $200 to get your car back even though you were parked in your assigned spot. Their business model is taking advantage of college students. They are the worst.

  I came here to iowa last January I moved In on an emergency type situation. This Rental company put balances in my file which was going to make it hard for me to move. Put me through alot of stress plusses put up with there attitude

  Awful company. Took ****** off my $845.00 deposit for some ridiculous charges. One of which is a carpet cleaning fee which I know is scam because when I moved in the carpet was nasty. Used our own steam vac and the amount of dirt that came up. No way the carpets were cleaned it was in better shape when I left than when I moved in. Leak by base of toilet the entire 2 years I was there made the bathroom smell like urine. Run down crappy appt . They charge these fake fees and pocket the money.

  Who regulate this business? I moved my daughter to a building without lights on the hallways or event safety lights or exit signs, air conditioning not working, refrigerator, same, paint marks everywhere, carpet dirty and in poor conditions, what in the world? How can they operate this way? Their voicemail full, their maintenance number have a voicemail so if you have an emergency you are in trouble. Someone in the city needs to make these company accountable.
