    On 5/2 my mother in law, ******************************* had T.h.e. company pick up their riding lawn mower to be serviced and have a tire replaced. Once it was returned, it would not start. Contacted them and the picked it up again. They stated that the engine needed to be replaced. I do not have a picture of the battery but we replaced it at orileys. The sticker was 03/22 with a testing at 1.5v with its 12 volt. I do however have a picture of the spark plug. As a Engingman of the ** Navy, I can attest that this is NOT new. After talking between ourselves about the issues, she contacted them again about these issues. The owner call her a liar and hung up. I am open to a settlement.

    This complaint is filled with inaccuracies, is different from his ****** complaint and not even from the customer.  

    We did not replace their battery nor did we charge them for one as theirs was good upon arrival of the machine. 

    The customer requested we stop work on the machine after completing the carburetor replacement as they did not want to spend additional money.

    We returned their machine, reminded them of the remaining issues they chose not to repair and warned against using the machine as the engine could blow.

    They refused to head said warning and indeed blew the engine.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    We never said they replaced the battery. I said we replaced it. I said their paperwork claims they checked it. If they checked it then they would have seen that it was nearly dead and mentioned this to **. I have spoken with my father in law, who was there when the machine was returned and he says that he was never told not to try and start it. The fact remains that the lawnmower worked when we sent it to them and it did not work when it was returned to **. Also, when my mother in law called to speak with the owner about our concerns with the service she was called a liar and hung up on. This is horrible customer service.
