      I wish I had seen these reviews prior to turning over retirement funds to my Savings and Loan who then invested my funds with Athene. The interest rate for a CD with Athene sounded good. After two weeks, there was still no account set up at Athene and no trace of my funds. I insisted that my Savings and Loan get my funds back and they said it would be no problem. The S & L claims they are trying to get my money returned but after five weeks and hearing that the refund is "being processed", it is time to get more aggressive. Do not invest a dime with this organization. They need to be investigated.

      Rude and unhelpful, and not to mention obfuscating. Athene is a TERRIBLE company when it comes to Customer Service or following through on their promises. I’ve been constantly shuffled from person to person, getting no real Information and at one point told to call Global Life!!??????? I was LIED TO by Jen at the South Carolina office!! Brigette was completely rude and insultingand hung up on me. Arianna gave me incorrect information about my mothers account and Matthew tried, but dropped the ball on getting me the correct form mailed as it was sent to the wrong address…AGAIN!
      This company seems to purposefully give false information and has all kinds of ROAD BLOCKS to beneficiaries receiving their funds….are they hoping we just all give up asking for OUR MONEY or go ahead and drop dead so they can keep ALL of our deceased loved ones funds?? What kindof a racket are they running?
      They need to be sued by the state insurance commissioner of Iowa!
      Absolute crap…I’ve been working on getting my inheritance since May, 4 months now and they’ve sent wrong paperwork, wrong address, wrong forms and bad information….waiting again on a Surrender Form, who knows if I’ll get it? Was sent out on the 8th of September to the WRONG ADDRESS !!
      Unbelievably disorganized and willfully ignorant thy name is Athene.

      We were on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes, have it logged, finally we hung up the phone! Then another dial to Athene and over an Hour again! Finally someone answered phone! We were charged a "Withdrawal Fee" of 200 plus dollars! Called to place money back into account! What a long Day! Never had that happened!

      This company is ghosting the processing of paperwork submitted. I have tried to communicate with this company through both phone calls and emails since July 14th, 2022. It is now Sept. 12th and have not resolved any issues. Representative keeps telling me they can not talk to me until the paperwork has been processed which can take 8-10 days. Do Not Use this company.

      It has been a horrible experience with this company. I can see why they are ranked at the bottom in customer service.. they have more hoops to jump through than a old ******** brothers circus I wouldnt recommend this company to my worst enemywhat a joke.
