Met with ******* *. in regards to irregular pelvic issues in the fall of 2024. Pelvic ultra sound and pap was performed with no issues and advisement was given to alleviate symptoms. I then asked for help with getting insurance carrier to cover meds via paperwork while asking ******* if there were *** approved alternatives, which would be payable. She stated no. ( By the way, I needed to come into the office for her to fill our simple paperwork for this, and was charged an office fee, which I was unaware, until getting the surprise billing!) . Later on, after adjusting meds to a level that alleviated the symptoms, I contacted ******* and she wanted more testing as the dosage was too high, according to her sources. I was actually feeling very well, so went to a different provider as an second opinion. I was very happy with the consultation and was told that A. the extra procedure was unnecessary, B. that there were indeed *** approved and insurance payable alternatives, using the SAME ingredients as what I was taking.I told ******* and she would not provide an updated prescription to account for the increase needed and subsequently asked for a refund for the paperwork visit. ******* was professional, yet did not answer questions to the degree that is desired. I also thought her to be less experienced than was comfortable. After getting no answer, after I week, I again asked about the refund. Got a very unprofessional voice message from **** ******, who stated she was the office manager, who rudely stated that I had received good service for the cost and I should not contact any outside sources regarding the matter. Both of these issues are at patient/ consumer discretion. **** stated the company would be issuing a full refund for both visits totaling $30, which I await, and to take my business elsewhere. Had I not had the foresight to plan an alternative provider, would Coeur OBGYN really leave me in a lurch, without care, in the midst of a medical situation?
