    Dow Janes may work for for a few of those using their system however not for the masses paying for a program that is incredibly frustrating to use and quickly becomes a time toilet, not only leaving you annoyed but also with incurred charges that have you feeling stolen from. I made attempts directly with Dow Janes to please stop charging my account since their entire message is about helping you save and increase savings. This program is literally costing me $199/month ($2,388/year) for something I am not using due to their system being confusing and not nearly as user friendly as they state in their initial sales pitch. For an organization that is committed to helping make a difference in ones finances, this program literally goes against their pitch when someone finds themselves unhappy with their system. I would encourage BBB to take these claims seriously, since I have seen many people encountering similar obstacles when describing their disappointment with Dow Janes. For those that have found their system user friendly and beneficial to them personally, I congratulate their efforts, though the truth is this system is NOT as positive, helpful or beneficial to the majority of people, not only costing us money but an inordinate amount time in trying to have it resolved. I am only looking to please have their charges stopped. I have not used their digital program since week 2 due to the amount of time wasted trying to set things up and the little amount of support received. Please share this information so others can truly understand that this system they have created or lured us into is borderline scam worthy.

I hear that your individual experience sees our program as frustrating. You reached out to our Support Team on September 16th 2022 who provided you with clear directions and answers to your questions the same day (email communications attached) They also offered and encouraged further support should you need it, to which you never responded. 


    In addition to this had you followed the instructions provided and gone beyond completing only 16% of the coursework, you would have had the opportunity to join three hours worth of ongoing support calls a week, with three of our coaches. We also guide all new members to the program by having them do a Welcome Call which is an orientation to the course platform. These calls are an incredibly helpful and positive experience. 


    We pride ourselves on providing a wealth of support in the program so that members have all of the resources they need to successfully complete the program and transform their financial lives. This is why weve had over ******+ women in the program credit Million Dollar Year to being an inflection point in their lives. However, it is necessary to do the work and follow the steps. 


    You have been enrolled in the program since September 11th 2022, and have had full access to our course materials, course platform, and online community indeed confirming that we are not a scam. We do have a digital product, which is made by us (with a lot of heart!) that you have had nearly eight months worth of access to now.

    I had my doubts about whether this was a legitimate business or a MLM scam, so rather than paying for the enitre year upfront, I signed-up for the montly subscription as a trial. It quickly became obvious this business is not meeting the expectations or hopes I had. I wanted to cancel my subscritption but found nothing on their site nor in their communications about how to do so. I have sent several emails to their hello@ company email, with no reponse. I tried calling the number on this BBB site and got some weird answer service where you're listening to pre-recorded people having an unrelated conversation and can't leave a message or talk to anyone. In fact it seems impossible to contact Dow Janes in any form. I even tried the links on the BBB site for this business and it said "undeliverable at this time". Unfortunately I have no other option at this point but to file with the BBB and to notify my bank to cancel any future payments.

    I'm writing to file a complaint against Dow ***** LLC for their refusal to provide me with a refund for a course that I paid in full and didn't use. I have contacted Dow ***** LLC twice to request a refund but they have refused to give me one. I understand that the company has a policy regarding refunds, but I believe that my situation warrants an exception.I paid $1300 for a course offered by Dow ***** LLC but due to my ongoing cancer treatment, I was unable to finalize the course. I was hoping to complete the course once my health improved, but unfortunately, that will not be possible. They did offer me an additional year for the program, but as I said, I will not be able to use it. As a result, I paid for something that I was unable to use, and it's a significant burden on my finances.I'm disappointed that ************** LLC has refused to work with me to find a reasonable solution to this problem. As a small business owner, I believe that Dow ***** LLC has a responsibility to its customers to provide excellent service and to be compassionate when dealing with difficult situations such as mine. I hope that the Better Business Bureau can help me resolve this issue and that Dow ***** LLC will reconsider their decision to refuse me a refund.

    You purchased the Million Dollar Year in November of 2021. We are a 12 month program. Members get one year of access, meaning your membership expired in November 2022. You reached out in February of 2023 requesting a refund for our product. As our product is completely digital and members gain full access to our program content and resources from point of purchase, we do not offer refunds. 

    Our Customer Experience team offered you an additional year of access to our program content, in understanding that you had health circumstances come up that *** have prevented you from completing the course material in the first year you purchased the program. You did not accept this offer, but as you have now had access to our program for two years we will not be issuing a refund.

    I am genuinely unsure if this company is a scam or something less credible therefore making cancellations or any financial adjustments to your subscription difficult. I initially signed up for the monthly subscription on January 5, 2023 however 3 weeks into the program the consistent affordability was no longer doable. In addition, after reading negative reviews on other credible pages (I definitely should have done this prior) I decided against continuing. I did not set up my account, join any groups or access any materials during this period. When contacting customer experience, the customer service rep indicated that they don't do refunds or cancellations. However, on their sales.dowjanes.com page under my payment plan when I view the million dollar group coaching tab it states "to cancel future payments" with a hyperlink to customer experience provided. When clarifying that I am a monthly billed client and I would like to either pause my subscription or ideally cancel future payment as indicated on their page, they stopped responding (its been about a week with 2 follow up emails now). With their horrible communication and lack of transparency I would not at all recommend these services. I have notified my bank about revoking authorization as the company has yet to respond about their " to cancel future payments" process indicated on their manage payment plan page. My hopes is that this complaint will encourage a response from the company to honor what was requested.

    I signed up for their 12 month program. I accessed the beginning module of their resources provided. This program is over $2000 and once the 12 months is up, you no longer have access to their material unless you opt to pay an additional monthly fee to access it. I feel their marketing tactics are misleading and preys on vulnerable women looking for relief. They have multiple adds on ******** and ********* marketing how to learn how to invest for free by signing up for a zoom presentation, then all the information they give is pretty much success stories of their program and how to sign up. I would like a refund of the portion of the course I did not view or use.

    January 23 2023 I purchased Dow Janes program for USD $1999 Commitments: (1) With the A-to-Z Investing program, they committed to provide knowledge on specific investment concepts (2) Dow Janes assured us during the live session sale pitch call that the workshops and content was relevant to ********* (3) *********** committed to providing access to group coaching and workshops.Dispute: Misleading information, false advertising and failing to fulfil their contract (1) During the live session, I clearly explained my situation stating that I had good financial knowledge and a good relationship with money so my interest in the program was geared towards the Investment portion of the program. As I was looking to gain specific knowledge, I followed up by asking if the topics I was interested in - see below for the list - were covered in the program. They proceeded by answering We sure do! See attachments for supporting documents (2) The recording for taxes knowledge was 100% geared for US residents, not relevant to ********* (3) I attempted multiple times to attend the group coaching call or workshops and the links provided by email, in calendar invite and on website did not allow me to log in. I could not attend any of the sessions since joining.Topics of interests stated during the live session:Which platform to select for investing in ******, how to setup an account, understand how to navigate the platform including all is there to know about investing using the platform such as what is a call or put option, which option to select to buy stock, how to even read the platform. I was also looking for information about which vehicle to invest in (RSP, TFSA, non-reg, other?), the pros and cons of each, how to generate passive income - how do I get paid dividends in my account? Do I have the option or not? How do I know which one I selected and how?Resolution: Declined to provide a refund and hoped that my concerns were just a bump in the road..Invoice #*********

    I am rejecting this response because: Since enrolling into the program, I have attempted to attend several live sessions without any success due to the incorrect/not working links provided by Dow Janes. Their operations have proven to be unreliable and not functional. Clear evidences were provided showing that Dow Janes did not fulfill their promises and did not provide the service that was sold to me during the sale pitch. They shared misleading information during their advertising campaign sale pitch luring me to enrol in their program.

We have over ***** women in the program right now who are able to attend all of the calls - if there were issues with the links it would have a huge impact on our product and course.     I am rejecting this response because: My main concern for filling this complaint and seeking a refund remain valid and accurate - Dow Janes did not fulfill their part of the contract by not delivering on their promises. Before purchasing I made it clear to them that I was not their typical client with money spending issues and I was managing my money very well on my own. I clearly articulate dot them that I was seeking knowledge on very specific topics which I highlighted to them and they promised I would gain these knowledge through their course A-Z Investing. After taking the 40min course (it cant be in-depth knowledge in 40min!!), I did not gain the knowledge they promised I would should have gained with the course. Even though they claim having answered my questions via email, these answers were high-level and incomplete - they did not address fundamental knowledge every person investing in the market should know for example the risk of trading in a registered account. That is only one example. I purchased their program to learn from experts as they claim to be and yet I am suppose to fish the answers out of them via email that is NOT what they promised when purchasing their course. In any way did they ever mention I needed to attend live session or email them to gain the knowledge I was seeking and that they promised to cover. This way of doing business is absolutely unacceptable, dishonest and unethical.

    I have not found anything useful about the program and was really turned off by their "healing" videos, which I didn't even get through the first one because it was so hokey. The suggestions for making extra money weren't helpful. I already do side jobs that are more helpful than these, and I live in a remote area that makes many of the suggestions irrelevant. I contacted the company asking about a refund and was told no. They offered meetings with their coaches, which cost more money. Not paying a dime more to them. Then they asked if I wanted my account put on pause, so I asked why I would do that. The help desk responded that it would extend my year of access to the material. I paid all this money and only have access for a year. What a joke! Do not use this service. It's a rip off!

I have been researching (which I wish I had done more of before wasting my money on your lack of service) and this site is not showing a clear picture of the real reviews.
