If you have tried and failed at the "save, budget, pay off credit card debt game" TRY one more time with this program! After 20+ years of burying my head in the sand and letting men make financial decisions for me, I finally said NO more! I realized if anything was going to change- it had to be me! How serendipitous that Dow Janes popped into my feed and I watched a webinar they offered. These 2 women are so smart, likable and relatable and have "done the do" that joining the full program was a no brainer. As a former teacher, I am so impressed with the step by step, easy to follow, curriculum. One module builds on the next and you can only fail by not opening the program! Is it work? Yes, but they feed it to you in small chunks (videos are **** min long) and action steps. I went from ostrich with 70k of credit card debt to now having zero CC debt, a healthy savings and investments- in less than a year! One of the best features is the community and weekly coaching calls which offer live answers, support and camaraderie. I am now an alumni and stick around for the accountability and cheering from fellow teammates! They also have a goldmine of added learning in the vault with step by step programs to find and earn more $, build a business and convert old retirement accounts to name just a few. I have taken a boatload of programs over the years but the Million Dollar Year is by far the most impactful one I have ever consumed! Single, married/with a partner, *******, mid career or freaking out close to retirement without enough saved- THIS program gives not only hope, but actual guidance to finally take control and empower women to create financial knowledge and power~ while leaving debt in the dust!

I have found the courage to discuss our finances with my husband- this should probably be a normal conversation- but it hasnt been in our relationship. I took a deep look at my relationship and biases I have about money. My fears and my dreams. Your classes help. Have a very happy birthday- and keep making the world a better place!!

Well, I'm a bit shocked by the virulent reviews below. I was on an "Office Hours" call yesterday with *****. The topic was Saving and Investing. I am much older than most of the participants, and I have entire bookshelves of books on finance, everything from RichDadPoorDad to ********************* to AAII to ***** to you name it. Not to mention the video courses, manuals with endless forms and systems. So, it's not like I don't "know what to do." The basics we all know. What Dow Janes offers that is irreplaceable is (1) COMMUNITY and loving support. That's what's keeping me engaged and moving forward. If they weren't sending encouraging and silly but serious, welcoming, inviting emails, I would be gone already. They stay in touch. Frequently. So I end up wanting to be mentored by these intelligent, dedicated, healthy, fun women. (2) They offer a program that is structured but flexible, with clear goals and the means to achieve the goals. ******* advice to people's questions today was ethical (evaluating risk in various situations), intelligent (she definitely knows her stuff), sensitive (paid attention to staying with participants where they are in their learning process), organized (stayed on topic and didn't waste time; pacing was skillfully done), responded to all questions with interest in the participant's situation, very clear about a wrong move (get that emergency savings funded b4 starting to invest). (3) The material is ridiculously accessible: Online, live, recorded, forms, links, FB, etc. (4) The word SHAME just popped up in my mind. I think many of us have so much shame about our financial failures. Failure to understand, to learn, the mistakes, being taken advantage of via excessive fees and untrustworthy people, the hiding of our incompetence. (5) Another word: ANXIETY. I've been paralyzed by money all my life. I think this is a stellar program. It's expensive, yes it is. And I'm getting my money's worth. In a milieu where I feel understood.

I'm so surprised by the previous reviews because I've absolutely loved the *** program! Sounds like folks have blamed Dow Janes for their own mistakes. It has been super helpful for me, from the community to the spreadsheets, and especially the "Heal" portion of the course. I came from a very dysfunctional family and never learned anything about financial literacy, so it not only helped me learn, but manage money in a way that actually benefits me. I have already paid off ALL of my credit card debt, created a plan to pay off collections, understood where my money is going, and most importantly: I KNOW HOW TO SAVE. Saving used to be this foreign concept that alluded me. Now it makes sense and I'm looking forward to making my way through the rest of the program so I can figure out how to maximize my saving potential, and finally get to my goal of investing. 10/10 would absolutely purchase this program again, given what I know now.

The Dow Janes community has enabled such a mindset shift for me. I used to avoid dealing with the topic of personal finances because the topic used to stress me too much, and I didn't know who to ask for help. Having worked at a nonprofit, I really appreciate the work that goes into making this program a reality. So much gratitude to ***************************** and everybody behind the scenes coach *** and all the others!

I love MDY. I'm so weary of men trying to explain finances to me, and these women do such a great job! They're compassionate, they're enthusiastic, and they work so hard to deliver effective results. I know more about money than I ever have, and I feel more hopeful about my future than ever. Thank you, MDY! ?

Sometimes we sign up for programs because we see the value BUT instantly have buyer's remorse as soon as we are inside the group because we don't think it "will work." This happens to me to a degree when I invest in programs even though I'm a "coach" and know better. I know that our brains can play tricks on us, but it still happens. When I first opened the course, I second-guessed my purchase thinking I already know this stuff or expected something different. The truth is sometimes we sign up for things and think that our financial troubles will automatically disappear. Dow Janes gives a lot of great content away for free and yes they teach the basics, but it's because the basics are what we keep avoiding because it sounds too simple or we want them to give us some other secret answer. Don't let your brain trick you into thinking D.J. can't help you. What I have found since a month of joining is that the community and the resources are gold. The founders and the coaches are very pleasant and genuine and want to empower women. After attending the calls and doing the work, I already see changes. I no longer have to sit with money stories and habits that don't serve me. I have put their systems and processes in place and while I am seeing debt go down, and cultivating more areas for income growth, what I value even more is the peace of mind that I have a plan and I feel calm and at peace. Everything is simple, digestible, and easy to manage steps. The support is there if you need it along the way. I think the only way you would be disappointed with this program is if you have a lot of discomfort when it comes to your finances. If you go into the program wanting and believing that you can change your finances, you will make significant progress. There are so many women I have talked with that have made substantial changes to their finances from joining this program and continue to work with them year after year. I highly recommend this program!

I love the step by step process and that this is a year commitment, but most of all I love that this is a woman run organization to help other women??

I had a manic episode last year and did not know I purchased this. I didn't realize it was put on my credit card until it was fully paid for. I never used any of the services and requested a refund. I told them my situation and I was hospitalized, was not in the right state of mind when I made the purchase and I never used their services. They said they won't charge my again but they won't issue me a refund. If the *** is about empowering women I would think they would be sympathetic towards mental illness among women who are trying to survive. They can log into my account and see I never logged in and did any financial planning or did anything because I had no idea I even purchased it. I should be able to get my money back because I never used their services and I was not in a coherent sane mind when I made the purchase.

They only refunded me the initial consultation and 1 month. Again, I never used their services or want their services. If I was aware of the charge before my hospitalization then I would have disputed it but I never knew of this charge made on Christmas eve. I simply did not intentionally make this purchase and will not use their services and I need a refund.

The entire program is based on tracking your spending. Spend less than you make. Pay off your debt first and then start saving. This is the most basic obvious advice in finance. I bought the program hoping to learn more about smart investing geared towards women. All their invest advice is buy index/future funds/i bonds. Again, very obvious advice that can be obtained by reading any personal finance column. I asked for a refund and of course they refused. The no refund policy is shady. They also try to upsell you with personal finance coaching programs and selling products they likely get a commission on. Save your money and read a personal finance book for a fraction of the cost.
