I set an appointment with BioLife when I got there they told me that I had to eat food and that they would allow me to donate. So I went to Hy-Vee and bought food and ate it and when I got back they told me that because my address was not current on my ID that I couldn't donate because I had no proof of my current address. I offered to show them my debit card info and they wouldn't take it. The lady was very rude and I don't have an address or proof of address because I have no money I am homeless and this is very unfair. I wasted my money what little I had so that I could try to donate and get more.Initial Complaint

Across the entirety of the Biolife website is a plastered message of "Get up to $750!" for first time plasma donors. In order to get more details, you have to register, which they explain that the first donation gives $80, second gives $100, and so on. There was ZERO indication that I was to submit a coupon to receive the full $80 my first time around and I have only received $40 for my first blood donation. Additionally, they hide all information regarding this promotion while you are signed in to conceal the fact that this exists. I called to try and resolve this but they said they cannot retroactively change this amount. There is no meaningful way to quickly reach out to a finance department and I would have not shown up if I were to only receive $40. I want my other $40 compensation.I included the payment history in my screenshots as well as proof that they actively hide said banners and any information about the promotion from new donors.Initial Complaint

I donated plasma. Was given a prepaid debit card for $100 linked to my bank account. I paid $4.95 for immediate transfer. 23 hours later there are no funds in my bank account nor on my card. I called to revoke the ach. I was told they can't do it and wait 24 hours which is a lie. Still no refund or money in my account or on my card. Called twice and spoke to them. Said I wasn't the only one. This is theft of my plasma, a breach of contract, and theft of my money I earned.Customer Answer

I came into Biolife to give an annual sample in January and my sample never makes it to the lab or gets lost. I would like to receive some compensation for 2 months of not being able to donate. On 2/12/2025 at 10:13 AM I tried to donate plasma at BioLife Plasma and was told that I would have to provide some type of proof that I was taking medication for high blood pressure and I said that I don't feel comfortable with providing my doctors information, this was strange because I visited several other plasma companies and never encountered this before, so I asked that ALL my information be destroyed and or deleted and was told no. I went for my donation appointment Sunday, February 2, 2025. I arrived on time for the 8 am appointment. By 9:35 am, I was still waiting to be hooked up by the guy running the section I was sat in. Meanwhile people who came in after me were getting hooked up ahead of me in other sections. There was still one person ahead of me in my section that needed to be hooked up and the 2 people who were hooked up prior to him were now having problems with their IV lines. I told them this was unacceptable disregard for my time and said I was leaving. I asked for the number to complain to a higher authority and demand that I still receive my compensation as this was their fault not mine. The girl at the front counter said she could not find the card for the manager and took my information promising that I would receive a call. It is now Thursday, February 6th and I still have not received a call. I have used their online contact us form twice and have not received a response. I am a donor at biolife in *****************. I have requested my records from my physical I had with them in September ********************************************************* and prescribe my medication until those records from biolife are sent to them. I have sent them several messages about my inquiry and have called them several times in the past 10 days. No one has helped me and the information I keep providing to them over the phone isnt being communicated with anyone there. I have **** and have been off of my meds for too long. Biolife has neglected me and it is causing me extreme distress. I have voiced all of this several times with them and absolutely nothing is being done. I was targeted by an advertisement for BioLife Plasma donations and the ad said I would be paid up to $675 dollars for a blood donation and that I would receive the payments in about $90 per visit and I made an appointment then received another message ******* me telling me my February 6th, 2025 appointment needed completing before the 2nd of Feb. to be eligible for payment so I called and they moved my appointment to Feb. 2, which is today. I wasted a lot of time and completed most of the process and a woman closed the door in an office with another woman and made statements falsely telling me that she heard me make statements I didn't make and that I would not be paid. They also made racial indications towards me prior to that such as asking for my birth certificate and repeating the same sentences dozens of times as if trying to offend me. I behaved professionally and a woman started screaming at me behind closed doors and lying about statements I made. I let her know she could easily correct the issue and that there is no reason for her to behave unprofessionally with me and that she appeared to be having a bad day and was acting irrationally. I continued walking out and asked the person working near the exit if I could speak to the manager and complain about the insane behavior the woman just exhibited and the manager approached me also making false statements such as saying there were witnesses to something that never happened. This should be subject to subpoena and I require compensation for them backing out of the agreement to pay me and also for the emotional distress they caused me by treating me that way.Initial Complaint

I transferred $50 paid the $5 to have this TODAY the agent told me everything was fine bank said no, called back agent tried to give me excuses I asked for a supervisor she started fumbling told me to wait checked and then came back with oh I see, you made the transfer after hours for our business it should be available to you tomorrow at 4:50 pm. WOW! Never again!
