There is an outbreak of this cannabis use in a transitional living house against repeated attempts to thwart the residents verbally, and I have long since texted everyone imaginable before you. There are people in this house using marijuana against the house rules which means there is no regulation and no attribute to the transitional living program, and I can only ask you to take me seriously. This started with drugs in the house, mind games with staff, and with me, and i know cause i admit to having quit similar behaviors. I used to have leftover gummies from michigan when i got here, and i QUIT using and threw out them OUT as soon as I realized what I was doing. As a CHRISTIAN on disability from getting hit in an accident at 17 and my legs are shot for life, blessed to be walking, who is to this day a homeless veteran since i honorably discharged from the army in 2001, I am experiencing accompanying abuses to keep me quiet. I cant get rest for my soul, for my body, and anxiety keeps me awake constantly. I know how to describe it further but its disgusting, it is an attack on the flesh spirit and I realize people prefer to "trip" instead of be sober and vigilant to Christians, but the reason for vigilance is being used against religious witness (antichristian abuse). I dont know if peopke know, i called police once and they it is the business's problem. I am sorry to have to disturb the BBB, and I hope you can make sense of this place. Recently I was going to leave on the third and my wallet contents come up missing from my room, so I will scour this little room again before I suspect some creepy stuff like black magic. This cannot be real! ALL because of some reckless veterans. And they keep pouring in by now, I have 4 enies in this house against me and GOD HIMSELF. Please investigate why nothing can be done. Good day and God bless you. ***** *****

    Business Response

    Date: 02/08/2023

In response to the consumer’s complaint ID ******** filed on 1/28/2023:  The Salvation Army’s GPD Bridge Program is a transitional housing program that assists Veterans transition from homelessness to permanent housing.    While issues with violations to program rules do happen on occasion, the issues have been resolved in accordance with our Policies and Procedures.  It is the Salvation Army’s policy that drugs and/or alcohol is prohibited on our property.  With cannabis being legal in Illinois, it is beyond our control what residents do out in the community and we can only control what happens on our property.  While there are other issues and concerns involved, it would be a HIPAA violation to discuss those in a public forum.
