The customer service department is completely unprofessional. I have spoken to multiple agents regarding my situation. As a multi billion dollar company, who has been in the business for a long time, it does not make any sense why they choose to hire unexperienced and very rude people. ****** and ****, the two supervisors I have spoken to in the last 24 hours have both given me two different responses. Both with the promise of a call back which was not upheld, Ulta Beauty needs to do a better job in who they chose to hire. These employers are the face of the company. And with how unprofessional they are, it makes the company look bad. Why continue purchasing from them if their competitors will provide a better response?ULTA Beauty

I am a very unhappy Ulta customer. I am a multi-year diamond member and planned to continue my loyalty. I recently purchased The Shark styler for 2 reasons: 1. 20% discount and 2. The free gift. I travel for work and all of the sample size items are very useful for me. These items have also previously led me to purchase full size items at Ulta.I received the Shark in a comically large box and no free sampler was included. It showed on my receipt and on my packing slip but nada. So I call customer service the *** was very sweet but she spoke very quickly with a thick accent. Eventually I was able to translate her offer of a $5 gift card to me. Um no, Ulta even stated the gift value was over $100 so I requested a supervisor. Big shock none was available. I tried texting and this *** assured me they could help. They said a supervisor would contact me the next day because it was late. Ok great. I received an email from a supervisor the next day with the message that they had reached out by phone but I didnt answer. I responded that I had no missed calls, no voicemail and I had received other call no problem. Anyway decided just to discuss over email for times sake. Supervisor was no help. She offered me $10 then up to $20 on a gift card after I had to explain to her that really wanted this gift and it was one of the main reasons for my large purchase. The Nars blush alone on the set was $17 for the sample if I tried to buy it. She told me she couldnt offer anymore so I asked for the situation to be escalated. She sad that wasnt an option. Not a good response and left me felling unvalued by an organization with poor quality control and even worse customer service. I wrote a review on ********************** but again big shock it wasnt published. I will be returning the Shark Air Wrap and moving my loyalty to another beauty outlet. Nordstrom also offers periodic discounts and has amazing customer service just sayin! Too many competitors to stay loyal to one that doesnt value you!ULTA Beauty

I made a purchase on August 17, 2024 and paid $119. They double charged me the next day on August 18, 2024. I had to report fraud on my account meaning I had to cancel my bank card and get a new one and when I did that my institution denied it because they said I authorized the purchase and I didn't. So I reached out to Ulta customer service and they found the issue it was a so call glitch in the system and the warehouse double charged me. I asked for a refund and they sent me in circles asking me to show proof from my institution when they clearly admitted to the double charge. So just as fast as they took it it's taking forever to replace it . I was told it would be reversed 3 days then 5 now 10 now next week I'm past the 10 days and no one has tried to reach out and they tried to give me 20% off and I gave them a piece of my mind so they offered $20 which isn't good enough for me still. I will never patronize them again and I loved going there for makeup services and more, but this ended all of that.ULTA Beauty

I was given two used lipsticks that I purchased from THEIR warehouse! I can kind of understand in store as I have seen people open boxes for whatever reason (tester not there, double checking for themselves, etc) but this came from their warehouse where customers do not shop. One even had a tester sticker on it. The worst part? I contacted customer service and they offered a prepaid label to return it in an email addressed as a different name than mine. If I could go out to the store (I just had surgery) I wouldve in the first place. Its an inconvenience to have to go to return it. How in the world is that a solution?ULTA Beauty

My daughter ordered an item that cost over &100 with tax and shipping. The item came with a free gift. When she received the package the free item was in the box, but nothing else. She contacted them and was told there was nothing they would do because the box weighed the right amount when it was shipped. They refused to do anything, and she is out her money. Well, I guess she paid for the free gift sample! This is extremely poor customer service! I have notified everyone in our very large family and we all agree that Ulta will not receive any more of our money. Hopefully, the credit card company will handle the dispute and return the money.ULTA Beauty

I have shopped at Ulta for many years and recently discovered that someone hacked my rewards account, inputted their phone number and date of birth, and has been using my points for over a year. I've made 5 phone calls to Ulta in regards to this issue over 2 months. It is still not figured out by their team. My points are all still missing and someone else's information is still on my account. Thank goodness I never saved my credit card information to their site. They cannot give me a timeframe of when it will be fixed, just that they'll send an email when they figure it out. Horrible service.ULTA Beauty

I purchased a bottle of the **************** Spot serum on August ******. I opened the box a few days after I purchased it. I started using it and there were pea size serums coming out the bottle.I thought that's how it was supposed to come out. I didn't think anything of it until the next morning, when I tried to put some on my spots. Nothing came out the bottle. It's like someone used it and put it back on the shelves. I was devastated that I brought a bottle that was almost empty. I couldn't find my receipt to bring it back to the store. I called the store where I brought it from. I spoke to someone over the phone, but I wasn't sure if she was the manager or not. She was very ***** and not polite at all. She told me that there's nothing she can do without a receipt, so I called customer service after I got off the phone with her. They told me the same thing she did, but they were polite. I paid $91.00 dollars for that serum. Please be very careful when you buy something at ULTA. This was my first and last purchase from ULTA..ULTA Beauty

Never again! Friday came in for an appt and was told they could not honor it because of double bookings, despite calling an hour before to confirm. I was rescheduled for Saturday and came in discussing what happened the day before with the stylist *******, because she didnt speak to me the day before. She shared many excuses but no apology, and I brushed it off because I just needed to get my daughters hair done for school. I said as much and also stated, Its a new day; lets just move onMy daughter has her hair detangled, washed, and conditioned and is then put under the dryer. At this point, we have been at the salon TWO HOURS. I never complained and just arranged for my oldest daughter to meet me so she could take my youngest daughter home if need be. Well, somewhere along the line, I guess because I was quiet & didnt really talk to *******, she decided she didnt want to finish her hair. I said But, wait she is supposed to be getting a silk *********** rudely says I know. I wont be doing it.You can only imagine my frustration as I stand there with my daughterhair wet and plastic bag on her head. I exercised restraint, left the store, and called the manager ****** later after I calmed down.All ****** did was attempt to gaslight me into thinking I did something wrong. I believe I was refused service because I wasnt overly nice and management had already discounted the silk press service, so she didnt want to do it anyway. All they did was waste hours of my time and several gallons of gas. I am shocked and appalled at not only how I was treated but the excuses cited to justify the actions such as well you threw the clips on the ground (after I was told services were being halted) or well you were asking for discountsHow is this disrespectful? I only asked about a discount because I wasnt told that straightening services were already discounted and was told I would be charged extra for detangling.ULTA Beauty
