We hired Two Men and a Truck to move household furniture from one house to another house located on the same property in November 2022. Through the course of the move there was a grandfather clock that was moved. We were advised to remove the weights before the move which we did and then reinstalled the weights after the move. The grandfather clock was in working order prior to the move and after the move it was no longer working appropriately. I have gotten no resolution from Two Men and a Truck for the issue. I keep getting told they are having trouble getting someone out to look at the clock and the fact that the clock isn't working is likely not due to the move. I am having a hard time understanding how it was working perfectly fine prior to the move and now isn't, how that isn't related to the move. We are now in February 2023 with no resolution which is ridiculous.

      To Whom It May Concern,

Our Branch Manager was previously in contact with **** ***** on 12/12/22, 12/13/22, and 12/16/22 at which time he informed her that the clock not working was not likely caused by our moving service since the clock was not dropped or mishandled in any way. It was likely that the weights had not been re-installed correctly by her husband or needed the chains rewound by a clock professional to get the clock restarted. It is common for Grandfather clocks to need regular maintenance by a clock professional after being moved to get them started again. Our Branch Manager offered to try to assist **** ***** in finding a clock professional. There are not many vendors these days that provide clock repair services in general. The Manager was again in contact with **** ***** on 1/2/23 and 1/26/23 at which times he informed her that he had not been able to get any of the clock repair vendors in her area to call him back yet. It was offered that if she was able to have someone out to look at it and it was determined by the professional that we did something to cause the clock to stop working we would be happy to cover the repair costs.  Our manager tried to contact **** ***** again on 2/13/23. He was unable to reach her and left her a voicemail, but he did pass along her contact information to a clock professional in her area. He was informed by that professional, **** ****** Clock Repair, that he was able to reach **** ***** and went out to inspect her clock on 2/13/23. He informed her that what ****** had told her was correct, and that her click not working had nothing to do with the movers or being mishandled. It was an older clock that had not been properly serviced in a long time and simply need some work done and reset following having the weights taken off for the move. This is all normal ownership costs for a grandfather clock, and as such any maintenance costs are the sole responsibility of **** *****. Our Manager left **** ***** another follow up voicemail after speaking with clock vendor to restate the information he provided. Therefore, we are denying her damage claim for the grandfather clock and are happy to have helped put her in touch with a qualified professional that can assist her with getting her clock properly serviced.
