1 starCannot get a live person. TSA lost my sneaker and didnt care. Had to run to my gate in order not to miss flight with one sneaker on. Very unsanitary, humiliating and created an enormous about of anxiety. Was told to fill out form online and my response was someone will get back to me in 2-8 weeks. Unexceptionable! My back hurts this morning from walking uneven. Want my sneakers replaced and compensation to all this aggravation. So much more to say but will see if I receive a call. **************** is very very poor and TSA does not impress me as far as safety goes. Sad I had to walk through 2 airports with one sneaker. 1 starWould give a zero if I could. We arrived at the *********** at 5:00am, an hour and 20min before our flight took off, checking in the bags went smooth. Once we got to the security the lines were an absolute mess. They were trying to get people to join clear so you could go through quicker but unfortunately we did not have the extra money to spend. It was so unorganized and they kept letting a bunch of clear members go through only making our line go even slower. Once we finally got through some security officer stopped mine and sever other peoples bins from going through to put 2 extra bins from someone else in front of all of us. Literally took us about an hour to get through the security with a four year old who was loosing her patience. We get through and get everything back on and run to our gate. Our flight leaves at 6:19 and we made it to the gate at 6:12 and the plane was still there with the walkway attached but the wouldnt let us as well as a few others on. They said they stop boarding 5 min before departure. You can clearly see out the window they are still loading luggage. The lady does not care and she just says we need to reschedule our flights. We wait for another couple to get their new assigned flight and ******************** they open the doors to let flight attends off but will not let us on. She books the people in front of us a 9:30 am flight and tells us she has nothing until tomorrow for us. We literally have nothing our luggage and car seat are on the plane and they dont care. Worst experience of my life, no compassion for rescheduling, did not even try to radio to see if they would let us on. Just stone cold. They I call to see about my luggage, I am asked my tag number, I give them what was printed and handed to me and Im told that matches nothing and there is not enough numbers. I read every number in the slip. I am told they cant find it. So now I dont know if I will even be able to find my luggage and car seat tomorrow.Review fromMichael G

1 starABSOLUTELY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE - JUST AS BAD AS SPIRIT Flight gets canceled (nonstop flight) out of *** so I call customer service to give them the benefit of the doubt and see if they can resolve my problem. I was understanding and told them that I'm flexible with date departure/returns, times, and even airports. I was simply looking for a non-stop flight... what I had paid for from ***-NJ, roundtrip. Turns out, the only available non-stop flights available were 1st class seats; not that I cared for the seat for such a short flight. What I cared about was not having to wait 6 hours on a layover in a random city, and to top it off, wouldn't even provide a courtesy lounge access for the layover. I asked if it was possible to be put on the flight that was non-stop. I was told no because it was a 1st class seat and I would need to pay the difference, approximately $1.8k additional cost. I have never had a single good experience with this subpar company and DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. PAY THE EXTRA $100 OR $200 and fly with Delta or JetBlue. I promise you, it's worth the money if every single aspect from seat sizing, snacks provided, overall plane quality, staff friendliness, and overall customer service where those two companies truly do care about providing the best customer experience for the customers. If you want ************************ like the kind United offers, you might as well save yourself a few hundred dollars and fly Spirit or Frontier. At least with those companies you know what you're in for. P.S. I've flown with plenty of other airlines who have never had a problem upgrading a paying customer to accommodate them when the fault was on the company. NEVER FLY THIS POS COMPANY!!Review fromCiara B

1 starAbsolute joke of a company. Our flight was delayed because they did not have a pilot so we missed our connecting flight. The man at the gate helped ** get another flight with another company but never sent the tickets to the company so we were denied entry. Went back to find a united employee for help. All of them just gave us a QR code that didn't work. Tried calling customer service where they were able to get us flights but still insisted we pay $1300 for the seats and said if we didn't pay they would give the seats to another customer. 1 starMy girl's weekend was ruined after United changed my seating arrangements on the plane. I am tall, and therefore, I paid extra for the Exit Seating. Because they changed and refunded my seating arrangements, I was forced to sit on a regular row and my knees were pressed against the seat in front of me. This caused severe knee pain and aggravated my knee that I had surgery on. I sat this way for hours and then when I got up to get off to catch the connecting flight, I was in so much pain that I had to have the transport service to take me to the next area. I couldn't walk at all. I was in pain all weekend and my friends had to be my legs for the entire weekend because I was in severe pain. This wrecked our entire weekend. While returning home, the pilot couldn't take off because the technicians waited until we boarded and then began changing the system while we were seated for our 7:00 a.m. departure. They were servicing the plane for about ***** minutes which caused us to leave late and everyone on the plane going to ******* missed their connecting flight. When I asked the flight attendant to help me, she stated that she was preparing for the next departure and wouldn't help me. I was given another departure time. but not on United. In order to get home to celebrate the holiday with my family, I took a flight on American Airlines. I was given food vouchers and new boarding passes to board the plane. I was told that my luggage would be in ******* before I arrived. I requested Exit Seating on both flights home and the request was granted; however, when arrived home, I found out that United didn't transfer my bags over to the new flight in the system and I was without my personal items. 1 starI purchased a direct flight from ****** to ******. I paid for a more expensive direct flight so I could be in ****** to resolve an urgent family matter. My flight 149 was supposed to depart Saturday March 25th 8:10pm. It only took off Sunday March 26th 11:15 am.The way they handled the delay was non- human, no explanations, no care, no compassion, . I boarded the aircraft several times for an average 1 hour to 2 hours and I was asked to live the aircraft, they would say they were experiencing technical problems and ask us to come back within 1 hour and 30 minutes, this situation went by until 3am when they told us the cabin crew had exceed their hours and we couldnt fly. They sent me and all the passengers to a huge line where I was finally listened to at 4:30am. They told me there was a flight at 7am which changed to 9am then 10am and only took off at 11:15am.I slept on the floor with all the other passengers. There was not enough time to leave the airport to do anything else or to get some rest. People with young children were suffering, elderly standing in line trying to get help or answers. Exhaustion took place as well desperation because the majority had lost connection flights or rides to their final destination.I missed my ride to my hometown. I ended up paying extra for help and I only got home at 4am on Monday March 27th, 2023.A total of 15 hours and 14 minutes delay Truly disappointed I would never fly with United Airlines again! They could've handled this situation much better!! Communication is key! They knew that the employees would exceed their hours. They made us sit for hours just to cancel with short notice so they wouldn't have to accommodate everyone properly!! I wanted to leave 0 starts but that option was not available!!Review fromMarie F

2 starsHorrible service lately. I am a Silver status holder with United for several years. Their service is getting worse each month. For one thing, their flight attendants are extremely rude and just seem genuinely unhappy to be there. You are paying an above average amount to take this airline as it is, plus Ive paid for first class and premium upgrades to receive dissatisfying service. Im extremely disappointed. The last flight I took, the flight attendants claimed that the airport staff failed to stock the plane with snacks. The first class passengers didnt have that issue. The attendants were rude and when I reached out to United, they did not offer any type of resolution for their errors. Lastly, I waited over an hour and a half for an agent on the virtual chat app, who still hasnt responded when United gave me the time of ***** minutes for waiting. 1 starBought a ticket and received a flight credit! I received an email stating that my money was issued to a travel agency that CAN NOT be found online! The number the travel agency have was my personal phone number. I advised United it was a scam and they refunded the travel agency my money that I NEVER authorized! My sister passed days ago and this was the flight credit I was going to use to attend her funeral! Im heartbroken! Why would money be refunded to a travel agency I used my debit card for? My ticket has my name on it! This isnt fair not only am I grieve if but Ive Lost money. The agency United gave me is a scam! 1 starUnited Airlines, is our premier choice of air travel. Usually we do not have an issue with our flights, however on march 15 2023. ***** the supervisor, was completely incompetent and unaware of road blockage during the president's ***************** into *************************************. We prepared 2 hr ahead before our flight at 1:59, the road blockage lasted beyond 1:20 which was our boarding time. Meanwhile we are not even IN the airport, we are getting informed by the officer blocking the road that the airport is shut down. United unaware and refusing to do research on their customers situations shows a lack of customer appreciation and service to boot. I am highly dissatisfied. P.S. What's worse is that they're lack of research not only inconvenienced us BUT they had the nerve to act as if it is our fault that the situation happened and deny us compensation.Review fromCYN E
