I provided a security deposit of $1954 September 29, 2023. I finished my lease and moved out October 26, 2024. I was told my security deposit would be mailed to me within 30 days from the date I turned in my keys. I waited the 30 days, then contacted the apartment to let them know I never received it. They claimed to have mailed it out November 27th. And stated I should receive it in the next week or two. If not to call them back. I still didnt receive it and proceeded to reach out to them weekly, they continued to respond for me to wait a week. Finally on December 17, I received a check. However, it is not the full amount I put down. I contacted the property once again and they claimed that they took off utilities for the last month, however that doesnt make sense since I paid the last months rent and I confirmed with the property manager that the total of the last months rent was the final amount owed. I never received an itemized receipt, and according to the law in the city of *******, the property has 30 days to send the itemized receipt, and 45 days to send the deposit back. This property has not done either. I requested a copy of the itemized receipt and they stated they have to reach out to corporate and will email me when they receive it. I also noticed the postage stamp had a date of December 11 for when they sent the check, which means they never sent out the deposit when they stated they did. This is horrible business etiquette and I feel as though my money was stolen from me. Im sure this has happened to many other residents as well. I believe this property needs to be investigated.

I stay in the Midpointe apartment where this complex has a currently a gnat infestation going on that has not been treated. I continue to wake up to gnats in my fridge, freezer, window, toilet on the elevator. I can't eat w/o a gnat flying in my food. There has been on-going illegal business going on. Drug dealer standing outside selling drugs. The management is giving tenants apartment keys to third party vendors to get into our apartment s but not be accompanied by Midpointe staff. Which so unacceptable. The manager has fired every vendor and hire all Mexicans which is her **************** this is why she feels so comfortable with giving them keys to our apartment. Corporate is aware of this and has done nothing to keep us safe or comfortable I have sent multiple email to management & corporate, and the issue are still at hand. I need help, please!

My first issue is the apartment failed to contact my about my last rent owe. I was told the send the bill once they calculate what I owed since I moved out in the middle of the month. I have called several times about the bill just to find out that its in collections. They said I didnt leave a forwarding address but I did. The collection agency just so happens to have the correct forwarding address. I believe Midpointe Apartment was negligent and I did talk to the collection agency and they have acknowledged that there had previously did this to other tenants. I have recording of this and have agreed to pay the amount I owed and that would take this off my credit report. This has harm me in find a place to live for me and my children. I am also currently 7 months pregnant. I am stay with family but I need my own place. My issue second is my electricity was taken out of my name while I was still living in the apartment. When I realized this I called the electric company and got it back in my name but I was already hundreds of dollars behind. I ask the electric company who have done this but was told it was an employee of the apartment complex but identity could not be disclosed and the apartment complex wouldnt disclose who did either. These incidences are currently expressed on my credit report. It is also hindering me finding an apartment. I am currently working with the credit agencies and collections to rectify these situations.
