I have contacted Combined Insurance several times to cancel my policys with them. They canceled the one policy, but left Policy P4345340 open. I can't get them to cancel my policy and stop the auto payment out of my checking account for $29.25 each month. I called in on 12-27-2023 again and was told the policy was canceled. However they took out the payment again in Jan and Feb 27th. I feel they should reimburse my account for the last year of premiums or at the very least the past 6 months and finally CLOSE the policy. My only other option is to close my checking account, redo all of my direct deposits and auto withdrawls to get Combined out of my life.Business Response

I have an accident/illness policy with Combined Insurance that I have filed a claim for on November 2023. I have called numerous times to be told that my claim will be expedited and that all my information has been submitted. They say someone is working on it. I have not received payment and now they have stopped responding to the online submissions I have submitted for updates nor do they ever call me back. The last I heard from them was an email from 1/24/24. I called in Mid February and was assured that it was in the final stage and payment would be soon. After another 3 weeks, they will not give me any info on the status. This company has gone down hill the past several years. They never hesitate to TAKE my money but are pretty *** on paying their claims in a timely manner.Business Response

I filed a claim with Combined on January 24th they wanted additional information which was uploaded on the 12 of February (the delay was because no one told me they needed more information) I have a bone disease and told them I need this asap to help get my medicine so my bones don't break so easy and they were sympathetic and said they'd put a rush on it the first time was Feb 12th. On the 16th I called to check on it and a manager said they are sorry and they understand I'm upset the claim hasn't been paid and they said it would be taken care of by Feb. 20 for sure since the 19th was a holiday. Then I was told again it would be paid by no later than the 21st. Still NO payment. I've had 2 small claims sent in on the 21st that have already been paid! This one was sent in on the 24th of January and sent more documents on the 12th of February. Actually I had to upload them to 3 different people. I even talked to managers and both said they would have it taken care of right away. I asked one Rep why everyone keeps lying to me and he said "probably to shut me up" If they paid the claim like everyone promised I would shut up!Business Response

December 2023 I filed claims for my mom who now has dementia and is on hospice. I was tasked with reaching out to the Hospital for all my mothers records and submitted to combined insurance. After waiting several weeks I reached out again being promted to wait for a follow up from an adjuster. Still not receiving the call back I was told Id get in 48 hours, I called again with the same response. A couple days later my mom received new coorespondance stating a new adjuster was looking over the same documents and they would get back to me. Several weeks again go by and nothing. I called again, getting told the adjuster would respond. Few days later on February 14 2024, we received a letter asking for an 8 page form to be completed by a physician, funny how there was no prior indication that this was needed. In the hospital records I uploaded several months earlier it included all DRs notes, itemized bills and medical codes, everything they originally asked for. After recieving this I reached out to my moms former PCP, who has since retired. I also reached out to hospital case manager, but they are unable to help complete since my mom is no longer a patient currently in the hospital. After again contacting combined insurance and with much frustration I decided to give up and called to cancel the insurance plan. I was encouraged not to cancel and told again the adjuster would reach out within 48 hours. Here we are more than 4 days later and still nothing but another charge for the premiums. I feel duped and pushed along, with no resolution to the claims and not even a call from a single adjuster or a way to contact them. I keep getting the run around, they have no problem taking the money and charging every month but have not followed through on their end of the contract with resolution to the claims I have submitted. My mom has been a customer for 9 years! Seems like ********************************************* is nothing but a scam at its finest.Business Response

I filed 2 accident claims on Jan 2 and Jan 5, 2024. The ONLY response from Combined insurance is, "we received your information and are 'in the process of assigning' a claims adjuster." It's been TWO MONTHS and they haven't even assigned an adjuster! UNACCEPTABLE! Combined advertises that they usually process claims within 5 days. That is a lie. Plus, Combined has not responded to phone calls and messages left on their website regarding these claims. However, they have no problem sending me reminders that my premiums are due and one of their sales reps did call to try and sell me another policy. When I told that rep my situation, he said he'd look into it. That was 2 weeks ago. Still nothing. I personally know 3 other individuals who have had similar problems. I've been a customer for 10 years and they used to pay the claims in a timely manner, but once I saw the hundreds of negative reviews piling up, I realized there is something inherently wrong with this company and they need to be called out.Business Response

I pay Combined on a montly basis and they take their money from my account in a timely manner. I was hospitalized in November with pneumonia. I submitted my paperwork in December and have called numerous times to check on my claim and have spoken with several supervisors who have claimed that they would get my claim processes and have confirmed that I have submitted all required documents. To date it has been over 45 days and my claim still has not been completed. They claim to process within a two week time period but it has not happened. In addition, a claim ** filed for an additional hospitalization in December has paid out and my November claim has not been processed and paid.Business Response

On December 1, 2023 I paid the annual fee for my husband's policy. The fee should have been $25 but there was an error and $525 was paid. I have called at least six times and each time I am told that they will handle the refund. I was even told that a check was cut on January 10, 2024. Every representative assures me I will get a follow up email or phone call. There has never been any communication. I have sent proof from the bank on two occasions but then I received a letter from ******** ***** telling me that they have not received the payment. I sent the paperwork directly to her and still have not heard a confirmation. I see no benefit in making more calls to the 800 number because the information doesn't go any further. I am getting the run around and am getting very frustrated. This company is very unprofessional. They have all the proof and they can see the error per their own people. I will not continue to do business with them. I could be dead by the time they paid a claim. I appreciate anything you could do to help process my refund.Business Response

I have reviewed the response and I have received my refund. For that I am happy and grateful. However I do believe they are sugar coating their response. I received two checks for $500 each dated 2/22 - one in my name and one in my husband's name. I cashed the one in my name but did nothing with the one in his name. Therefore I believe they did not act on my inquiries until I contacted you. I am glad that they finally sent the refund so I am satisfied with that.

A claim was filed Dec 8, 2023 for a disability of loss of work for surgery. I have multiple calls with no settlement still.I have been a customer for close to 40 years. I have been told several times over the past several weeks that my claim is being reviewed by an adjuster, and will be expedited. Still no resolution. This morning I left a message to speak with a supervisor. Just would like an answer. I've never had this poor service with this Company. Highly disappointed.Business Response
