We hired A kats due to a roof leak, which was compounded by water infiltration through the lintel. They replaced and repaired all affected areas, resulting in a flawless outcome. We express gratitude for their exceptional work.

July 2, 2023, a storm caused damage to my roof which also affected the ceiling in several rooms. July 5th, it started to rain again so my husband called A Kats Construction to come tarp the roof. He gave a quote of $1800 to come out that night to do the job because it was an emergency. 3 workers came out with him to tarp the roof and I Zelled him $1700 upon completion. He knocked off $100. July 17th, a contractor came out to look at the house and questioned the tarp job. (You could see through the roof) He also sent a roofer today and OMG! Nothing listed on the invoice from the company was done! Pictures were taken today and it is despicable! No tarp, just plastic! Plastic that is put over furniture when painting. The same gentleman called back later to ask what we needed so he could tell the owner. HE KNOWS!!I am in disbelief as to what was (not) done! I have pictures that show the roof and the plastic that we paid $1700 for!! I have an invoice/receipt that states work that was done and it was not! My husband even asked him for pictures after the work was done and he never sent them. We can't get on the roof to see the work so we wanted to see the pics of what he did. The insurance company is now involved and I do not need him to come fix it! What I want is for him to return the money I gave him for work he did not do!! In fact, we had to call him back to fix what we thought was tarp when the roof started to leak again the following week. And to make matters worse, my husband has tried to call him today and he is not answering. One of his workers have been "communicating" with us which is unacceptable. He was our point of contact. Not his worker. If he does not fix this by returning our money, we will seek legal action. $1700 is too much money for plastic and the chance that our roof could be further damaged. A+ Rating? NO!
