    The mechanic was fixing my car, he stopped answering my calls/text messages for almost 2 weeks. I went to his shop and he said somebody crashed my car in front of the shop but it was just a bumper and it was in an auto shop getting fixed. 2 days later I got a letter from the ************************ that my car was involved in a hit and run. I went to the mechanic and he admitted that one of his employees decided to drive it since it was a hot mustang convertible and he crashed it. I demanded to get the info from the auto repair and for him to go to the police department so he can take the blame. I saw my car and it's totaled. The body of the car is completely crashed, it's not drivable, the steering wheel can barely turn and smoke comes out.The mechanic ended up showing up at the police department while I was there. I showed the POs the receipts that my car was in the shop in the care of *******************. I left the police department and the POs spoke to ********************I went to the shop the following day to seek payment for my car. *******************, the owner, said he will give me what the blue book says it's worth. I demanded what the blue book says and what I had already paid him to rebuild the transmission and he refused. I told him fine, just give me the money for what my car is worth and he said it will take him a few months (until September 2023). I told him to give me his insurance policy, because I was going to file a claim with them, he did, but proceeded to say not to mention that he was involved in a hit and run because the address of the police report is too far from his shop and the insurance won't cover it. I told him I didn't care and he just said he wasn't going to pay me.
