On 5/17/2024 someone knocked on my door that was going door to door trying to sell new roofs on insurance claims from hail damage. The person that came out that day told me that the contract that I signed, would ONLY be active IF the insurance company agreed to cover the cost of everything on the contract. Under the damage notes included on the contract, the representative INCLUDED that there was sections of missing Fascia & Soffit that needed to be replaced as part of the agreement WITH the roof. On the contract there was never a total cost written on the line. The representative just wrote " Market Unit Value ". When I asked him about it, he said that since it's an insurance claim, there's no total since I'm only responsible for my deductible. To this day, I have never been given/told a total that my contract was for, just that they want the check from the insurance company. The roofing company battled to get an acceptable amount of money for them to do the roof, so they notified me on Aug 9th that the materials would be dropped off the following Monday, Aug 12th, which they were, but was never contacted to arrange a date to begin the work. I was awoken Tuesday morning, Aug 13th to pounding on my roof when the roofers were removing my old roof without any notice or warning. After the roof was installed, I contacted to representative about the fascia & soffit, since it was not replaced, & he said that the insurance company didn't approve enough money to replace everything & they were still fighting to get more money to replace all the fascia & soffit. I was contacted in December of 2024 by an AmeriPro representative that told me that the insurance adjuster had cut off communication with them & they are not able to replace the fascia & soffit that was agreed upon. They said they would remove the price of the small amount that was included in the adjusters original claim, but it was a minute amount. I would like remaining balance $4750. removed for my trouble please.

      Mr. ****,

Thank you for providing information regarding your experience.  We have reviewed your account and listened to all of the recorded phone calls.  ********************** provided reimbursement to you for your roof replacement, those funds are due to us along with your deductible.  We understand that you wanted the price to be lower and to keep the additional insurance funds but that is not an acceptable practice.  We did offer you a good faith credit to close your account of $250.00, which you accepted along with your commitment to pay your balance.  The balance due is still owed to close out the matter.

      Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:
I was told that NO work would have been done to the house if EVERYTHING that was written on the contract was not approved by the insurance company. Since the fascia & soffit WAS included on the original contract, NO work should have been done on the house UNTIL all the fascia & soffit was replaced! Since Ameripro was unable to get the insurance company to pay for EVERYTHING that was agreed upon in the contract, the roof should have never been done & the money returned to the insurance company. Ameripro is claiming that since 1/3rd of the contract was paid for by the insurance company, then the have the right to proceed with the job WITHOUT getting authorization for the remaining 2/3rds of the contract. The roof should have NEVER been started without getting the complete contract approved from the insurance company. I was completed disgusted & insulted by the minuscule $250 so called inconvenience discount. The fact that you even brought that up is a complete disregard for professionalism & a slap to me face!
      Sincerely,

      ***** ****

      Mr. ****,

AmeriPro advocated for you with your insurance company to cover all of the work you felt was damaged.  It is your insurance company who is responsible for denying the coverage.  AmeriPro did not charge you for soffit or fascia work and a retail quote for that work would have been the only solution.  Thank you for your recent payment, the $250.00 credit was applied, and your final invoice will be sent to you.

      Best Regards,

I am rejecting this response because:
According to the original contract that I signed that was filled out by the companies representative it stated that the roof, fascia, AND soffit that was all damaged would be approved by the insurance company before any work was to be done on the house. Since Ameripro decided to go ahead & start replacing the roof, that is them agreeing that with what the insurance company is willing to pay, Ameripro is agreeing to replace the roof AND the soffit AND the fascia that the representative said that ALL WOULD BE REPLACED or no work would be done!
      Sincerely,

      Mr. ****,

I've been in contact with your sales representative and does recall his experience and spoke very favorably of you.  I can understand how your family home is important to you and that addressing the areas of storm damage was a priority.  The insurance only approved the roof, and as with any insurance company, only approves areas of the home that were damaged by hail or wind.   If an insurance company does not approve other areas, we do advocate for you but ultimately we have no control over that. Your best course of action is to appeal this with the ***************************  If an insurance company does not approve the work, we have to charge for our services.   We are willing to provide a quote if that is the direction you would like to move to.

I am rejecting this response because:

I COMPLETELY understand what you said & agree with that 100% & have no problem with that. What I have a problem with, & what everyone at your company is ignoring is that I signed a contract a contract of a PACKAGE deal & was told that NO work would be done UNLESS all 3 parts of the contract would get approved. I understand that the insurance only approved 1 part, & a small portion of parts 2 & 3, but per the contract, NOTHING should have been done until all 3 parts were approved & I NEVER gave authorization for 1 part to be completed without the other 2 parts being approved! If your car got in an accident & the repair shop only fixed the body of the car but not the engine compartment & claimed that the insurance company didn't give enough to complete the job, you would not be satisfied either! Your company keeps ignoring responsibility for all 3 parts of the contract & keeps deflecting to the insurance company when this is all about the 3 parts that were agreed on on the contract between you & I. REGARDLESS of what the insurance company does or does not pay, I was told that NO work would be started WITHOUT all 3 parts being completely approved.

      Sincerely,

      Mr. ****,

I have followed up internally and have the following information.  AmeriPro advocated for you very early on with your insurance company after they rejected your claim.  Your sales representative reviewed the insurance summary with you and reported that you were very satisfied that the roof was fully approved.  191 different entries on your account have been reviewed and again our goal was to get full approval for all of the trades, your insurance rejected that.  You were notified when your roof materials were on site via a phone call and an automated text.  No one communicated that your other work was approved and would commence.  It sounds as if there was a communication error and for that we can empathize and did issue you a credit.  The only option at this point is to provide a retail quote for any additional work.

      Best Regards,

      AmeriPro Roofing

Ameripro replaced my ************** earlier this year Jan/Feb 2024 for a cost of ****** I called 3 weeks ago complaining about an issue with my gutters . The issue is there needs to be another spout added on one side of the house. There is no place for the water to go. They asked for photos which I sent & Ameripro told me that they werent going to send any representative out to check & I need to clean my gutters because they are clogged. All I asked is for someone from their company to check. The warrant states if I have anyone else do any work my warranty is void. So this is one of my last efforts to get them to honor their work. One other thing to consider is its about to get cold & the water in the gutters will freeze unless I have another contractor do the work. I would like them to pay for whatever the bill will be.

We had a new roof put on our house by AmeriPro Roofing two consecutive times - first on or about Sept 29th 2016, then again on Sept 15th 2022(contract date). This second roof was put on because of a leak on our second level caused by hail damage.Aug 30, 2024 We contacted AmeriPro about some water staining in the cubbies behind the knee wall on the second level.Aug 31 **** from AmeriPro texted to come and look at the roof and suggested a possible leak after reviewing pictures we sent of the water stains.Sept 3 **** came and inspected the roof. He concluded the problem was a rotting fascia board with flashing that had pulled away from the board allowing water to enter. This fascia is located at an offset in the roof where there is roofing above and below the fascia. **** mentioned that it looks like they did not replace the flashing, but reused the old flashing.Sept 11 we sent photos to ******* at AmeriPro of additional interior water stains as well as photos of the fascia & flashing condition. **** responded after checking with the warranty ***** saying they would replace the fascia and flashing, but take no responsibility or liability for any damage under the fascia (mold, rotting boards, etc.) We requested by text that AmeriPro share with us all photos they have of the roof installation. ******* responded that the fascia and flashing were not part of the roofing job and that it was a pre-existing problem. They did not replace it because our insurance did not cover it. But they did not inform us of this issue. We would have been willing to pay out of pocket if we had been informed.Sept 17 Received photos of roof installations from 2022 & 2016 they were useless.Sept 19 *** sent a release of liability form we needed to sign prior to AmeriPro replacing the fascia & flashing. We refused to release them of liability and they rescinded the offer. If there is any rot or mold underneath the fascia due to their negligence, we want AmeriPro to repair that as well.

I have been receiving calls from this business despite requesting multiple times for my number to be removed from their database. I am not a homeowner, and I have never contacted them regarding their services. The constant calls borders on harassment, and needs to stop.

      Hi ******,

Thank you for reaching out to us about the recent calls youve been receiving. We understand your concerns and appreciate your feedback.

Based on the daytime phone number you provided, it looks like we've called you twice this month: once on the 18th and once on the 19th. Both times we couldn't reach you, so we left a voicemail.

To ensure you no longer receive calls from us, we have added the phone number you provided to our internal Do Not Call list.  This will stop any future calls from our end.  If you want to add your phone number to the National Do Not Call Registry, please go to donotcall.gov to add your number. Any compliant organizations will no longer call you.

We also kindly ask that if youre satisfied with this solution, you consider removing your complaint. Your satisfaction is very important to us, and we would greatly appreciate an update on the status of your complaint.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please dont hesitate to contact us at **************.

      Warm regards,
