BBB urges consumers to use extreme caution when considering doing
business with Laj eShopping. The business
purports to be an online work-from-home company which describes its
service as discreet re-packaging and shipment of goods. However, BBB
learned that consumers are told they were hired to receive, inspect,
repackage and ship items such as electronics or car parts for which they
believed they would be paid $3,000 monthly.
The business would collect
standard information from a new employee such as their address, birth
date and social security number. Some victims were told to open a new
bank account for direct deposit. When it came time for payment, victims
received no payment for their time and discovered the accounts had been
used for laundering large sums of money.
