    I am writing to inform you that I recently purchased a rifle from your salesperson, *****. However, upon receiving the rifle, I discovered that it was non-functioning and unsafe, and the listing did not mention any defects. (See Attachment Below)

    As a customer, I assumed that Simpson LTD does not condone the sale of defective or unsafe firearms and always strives to be transparent in your listings. Before closing the deal, I talked to ***** over the phone, and he assured me that the rifle was in good working order. I paid for it with a $435.00 personal check (see attachment), trusting his expertise and your business as a reliable firearms source.

    However, when I took the rifle to the range, I soon discovered that the ammo feed tube was misaligned and had a severe blockage, rendering the firearm unusable. When I called ***** to report the issue, he claimed that it was my fault for not testing the rifle sooner. I trusted him and your business to send me a fully functioning firearm because that is what I paid for.

    I never questioned his or your credibility and never imagined that such an item would be sent from Simpson LTD. As a result of this misunderstanding, I am requesting a refund via a check ($435.00). I do not request store credit because I do not trust your company. I understand that S&H both coming and going from me would not be refunded.

    Response to Mr. *******'s Case:

         We have honestly been very accommodating and have gone above & beyond for Mr. *******.  He purchased a firearm from us on March 9, 2023.  He called ***** at the end of April (over a month and a half later) stating that the firearm did not work and that it was unsafe.  We have a 3 day inspection policy after the firearm is delivered that if there are any issues, we may be contacted and the firearm may be returned within 7 days of the three day inspection period. If we are not contacted in that period of time we do not accept returns.  We made an exception to this since Mr. ******* was adamant there was something terribly wrong with the firearm.  We agreed to pay for return shipping provided that it was indeed unsafe and non functioning.  He agreed with store credit since the return period had long passed regardless if was fully refundable or partially refundable.  It was explained shipping (both ways) would not be refunded if the firearm was functional and there were no errors on our part.  He agreed again.

        After receiving the firearm and being thoroughly looked over, it is functional and very safe.  We refunded him the $395 cost of the firearm minus the return shipping of $40 to have a store credit of $355.  Since hearing this news, we have been bombarded with numerous phone calls, copied and pasted emails (identical to the complaint here) and threats from Mr. ******* demanding he be refunded the total amount of $435 to him sent by check to anyone else different who answers the phone/emails who will listen.  He threatened to call the ATF & BBB on us, which is his right but it is not warranted.  He has been told numerous times that his store credit is here and he may use it at anytime.  We will hold that credit until he finds something else he sees that he likes, there is no expiration date on that credit.  Please see the attached invoices showing the sale and the credit.  Also below is our return policy as written on our website:

    Returns:
    Our return policy lasts a maximum of 3 days from the
    time your receive your item from us or your dealer. If 3 days have
    passed since you received your purchase, and we have not been
    contacted by you, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or
    exchange. If you are not happy with your purchase, please contact
    us by phone and/or email to arrange for a return. Items must be
    shipped back to us to arrive with 7 days of notification of
    return.
    To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused
    and in the same condition that you received it.

    To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of
    purchase.

    Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

    There are certain situations where only partial refunds are
    granted:
    Book with obvious signs of use
    Any item not in its original condition or is damaged or missing
    parts for reasons not due to our error
    Any item that is received more than 7 days after return
    arrangements have been made.
