We purchased a Travel Trailer on April 8th for approximately 32K, did a walk through on April 9th to determine everything worked. We had a list of things that needed attention. The ** wasn't working, there was some questions about rubber molding and s**** holes on the slide that extends and retracts from the side of the of the trailer as well as some cosmetic details on the inside. Camping World performed service over the next few days. We took possession of the trailer on April 14th. Unfortunately we did not insure the Slide was functional before leaving the lot. On April 15th we arrived at our ** site with trailer and the slide would not work without manual override. We returned the trailer on April 18th to the service department where it is still today. I have made repeated calls nearly on a weekly basis for updates with no progress. They have misled or lied about repairs being done. They've told me the slide rails installed incorrectly and they are fighting warranty issues with manufacture. Things like parts on on order, parts shipped, parts order canceled and so forth. They tell me things like it's an issue with the manufacture, then an issue with the manufacture of the slide. It's ever changing story. They say they'll update and call me back. They never do. I can't get a manager on the phone. At this point I've made it clear that they need to buy back the ** and that I'm not taking possession of it. Since our total possession of the travel was with the states lemon law. I've made no progress as they won't call me back.

Travel trailer has been at Camping World since November 2021 awaiting warranty work. We have tried to get status from our Service Contact many times, the answer is always that they are awaiting warranty approval from Keystone or no response at all. We have attempted to contact the Service Manager and no response.

      Complaint: 18021760

I am rejecting this response because:

The General Manager and Title person have been in contact with me and kept me updated along the way.  The title was finally updated in the system on 9/22 (Purchase date 8/16).  However, things are not going as planned.  We went to pick the van up on 9/24 and the spare tire was removed, but not put into the vehicle.  When we tried to get the cover off of it, none of the keys provided would work, and we had to cut the metal to get it out.  We asked to be shown how the generator worked and when the Service man tried it, it started, but would not stay running.  He said that it had to be sent out for service.  He went to talk to the Sales person and didn't come back.  After waiting around, we finally went back to the ****************** (since we could not find the Sales person).  He went to Sales and then came out and told us that they couldn't take the van to get it serviced for 3-4 days because they were busy.  He told us that we could take it and then have them contact us.  No, we are not taking it until it is fixed.  So, we had to leave it AGAIN.  Not sure what they charged us the $695 dollars to inspect before we purchased.  What we were so excited about in the beginning has become a nightmare.

      Sincerely,

      *******************

We purchased a 2022 THOR Magnitude SV34 in June of 2021 from Camping World, *********** and were told by Sales, Financing and Service they would handle all of our service needs for this motorhome. We had several work orders in place from July through September of 2021 that we intentionally delayed until after the ** season was over and this gave ** time to order parts to repair the items noted. I received a call the first part of December 2021 that parts were in for all items, and they wanted my ** to support repairs. The ** was delivered the first week of December 2021. In January I received and email that all repairs were on going. In March 2022 I couldn't contact my service representative, so I visited the store and was told that individual no longer worked there. I was introduced to my new service representative, and I asked that individual to walk down all repair items and I needed the ** ready by mid-April 2021. I was unable to pick up the unit until the last week of April. The service representative told me all items were completed. We left on a trip in early May 2022 and discovered several items were not completed and some of the items that were completed promptly broke on the first trip. Since then, I've tried to work with ** to complete the original repairs and new repairs that have come up since then. The Service Manager told me I could take my business elsewhere. I filed a complaint with the ** corporate office and with THOR Motor coach. This did not help much. At this point they won't answer my calls or emails. I sent a letter on August 15 requesting they buy back the ** as it is apparent, they cannot adequately service the **. I have a significant number of emails I can provide but am attaching the letter I sent at this time. My ** has been in their custody for over 6 months out of the last year.

      Complaint: 18021717

I am rejecting this response because:

CW has NOT provided any $ values for my unit.  They have simply stated they are not interested in my approach.  The corporate office representative told me they would not buy me out and the local CW agent told me the same thing.  They offered to trade or put the unit on consignment--my response was that until the items needing repair are fixed, I cannot sell or trade the unit.  Additionally, CW has made it plain they are not interested in decent customer service in my opinion--they don't give a XXXX about me or my RV as evidenced by their attitudes both at the corporate and local office as it might cost them some $$.  Apparently it is okay per CW standards to tell their customers what they will provide and then not follow through.  If their attitudes don't change, I will have no choice but to proceed with legal action--something I have NEVER done in my entire life as I've been able to work out any issues with the businesses, that I have dealt with for over 50 years in buying products and services for both my home and professional life for over 46 years in the nuclear industry.

The local agent said he would look into the service issues as many items they have said were repaired were not as they didn't work after traveling less than 200 miles after they were fixed.   At this point I don't have much confidence that this CW has the technical ability to properly repair my unit. At some point I may have to take the unit to another vendor and pay to have the work done then include that cost in the litigation.  The extended service contract with CW is of little value when they cannot properly perform the work. 99% of the work in question should have been repaired under warranty programs.

      Sincerely,

bought a tt rv after selling our house, was told by the salesman that the unit was perfect to live in full time, $5k down and it was not. traded that rv for a 5th wheel and put $3k down, had less than a week and slides malfunctioned with over $20k needed to fix problems, so CW took it back but not refunded our money down and traded that rv for the one we have now another $5k down (rebates from the **** roadside assistance, extended warranty and gap insurance) but not my $3k. so we go back and forth with texts, emails and calls but the issue still remains the in 1.5 years I have gone through 3 rvs from CW, spent about $13k on money down and thousands more on items for each rv (hitch, cargo racks, fix it items ect) I feel that since the 2nd rv lasted only a month and the sale was canceled that I should at least get my $3k refunded as well. CW corporate has been long on promise and short on fixing the issues. I am a 60yr old Disabled Veteran who is on a fixed income and can't afford to lose money on a rv the should have never been sold to anyone. also I find out that my tags were never transferred the the new rv but was charged as such.

The most recent purchase of a T@b with the T@g trade in from the Berkely, MA store has been a very difficult transaction to complete. To start with, for reasons that have never been made clear, the paperwork to complete what needs to be done with a notary, was sent to a notary near *********, ** which is about a 2 hour drive from where I reside. It seemed unreasonable to drive for 4 hrs. round trip to sign a registration transfer form, so after much haggling and many phone calls where the person who needed to take care of it was never around, they agreed to send it to a notary that's 5 minutes from where I work. The berkley store miscalculated the sales tax and therefore sent a check in the wrong amount, not once but twice. The notary was unable to use this check to complete the transaction, as it was around $740-$745 or so too much. The day that all happened I had to leave work early to go home and get the ** and bring it to a garage to have the vehicle weight and VIN confirmed, a requirement of ** when registering certain vehicles purchased out of state. I will now need to do that again since the garage couldn't put the inspection sticker on it since the registration paperwork remains unfinished until a check for the proper amount is sent to the notary and we take time off of work once more to do the whole thing again. I also have gotten in touch with corporate to resolve the plethora of issues encountered, and have heard that they will "watch and guide" the store to make sure things get resolved. Throughout this entire process, it's been more unresolved phone tag than anything resembling even remotely satisfactory customer service. This has been a paperwork, unpaid time from work, running around begging people to do their jobs while I'm at working doing mine absolute nightmare. Then, when I finally do get in touch with someone, I'm told they'll "look into tomorrow", well tomorrow never seems to come for the people from berkley to corporate on these issues.

I have my ** for sale on 3 different sales sites. Two reps from Camping World contacted me. They were interested in purchasing my **. They asked if it had and major issues like A/C, plumbing, electrical, soft spots. I told them I didn't know of any soft spots or water damage and they all work good. The sales rep emailed me and said as long as nothing major was damaged they would give me $23k. They said they wanted to take it in an inspect it. I requested they inspect it at the ** site where it was because it was all hooked up. They said they had to take it in. I went and sat for at least a couple of hours while they inspected it. They picked it apart. They weren't just concerned with the big stuff the rep mentioned. They came back and offered me $21k. I said I really wanted at least $22k. They came back 30 minutes or so later and said nevermind our other offers, we are only gonna pay $18,500. I was upset but I just told them to take it back to my ** site. My wife called and told the manager they needed to make sure they returned it in the same condition it was in when they picked it up. He said ok. But, now the refrigerator and the awning don't work. They both worked when they took our **. When we got it back it was dirty, the furniture was not put back the way they found it. There was a towel rack in the bathroom that ripped out of the wall, so now theres a hole. There is a scratch on the outside that wasnt there previously. There was a panel under the sink that covers the water pump that they removed and didn't put back. They took my Anti-sway hitch pieces. The manager said that we misrepresented the condition, which we didn't, it was all in the ad with pics. He said we allowed them to take it so they aren't responsible. He sent a couple guys out with the Anti-sway pieces and to try to fix the fridge, awning, and hole in the bathroom. They couldn't fix any of it. So they took pics and said the manager would call. He never did. I called, he won't call me back.

On June 25th 2022 I purchased and towed home a brand new camper from Camping World of ******. Before pulling it home the service technician noticed the front tire was extremely worn down. He contacted his manager and we all agreed to put the spare on the tire and they would do an inspection of the axle before I left. The manager come out and said the inspection was clear and I was good to leave with it. After getting the camper home, I left for a 4-day family vacation. The camper stayed on my property untouched. After returning from vacation I went out to the camper to show family and friends and we all noticed that that spare was already worn down. I took pictures and contacted Camping world and they blew me off saying I didn't know what I was talking about. So that following saturday, July 2nd, I told the camper up to them to show them in person that something was not right. We all agreed that the axle was warped and the spare had to be replaced as well. I am about to make my second payment and I still do not have my camper fixed. They have had my camper for 2 months and has denied the claim three times. Now they said the claim has been approved and told me 2 weeks ago that the part would be delivered September 1st. I contacted them on September 2nd multiple times to try to talk to ********************* the service manager. He refuses to contact me back and the secretary is telling me that she doesn't know when the part will be here. This situation has put my family and I through severe mental anguish.
