I purchased a travel trailer thru this dealership I researched available unit before going to dealership found a trailer at another dealership became informed of transfer cost involved was told at saukville dealership by salesman he wouldn't sell it to me at listed price because it wouldn't be enough profit for the dealership but if I agreed to a $2400 price increase he would agree to me paying for transfer fees so I left the next few hours were a back and forth communications of them trying to get me back to their location in the end I spent $5000 more than I wanted to when we went to pick up unit they ignored my son for 20 minutes before even acklodging him told us the wrong ball to tow it with charged us $40 for the correct sized one after we got it home we tried to plug in the electrical power and discovered it had not been secured properly my credit score used was 700 they found a 12% interest rate for 12 years I think that's high they had trailers on their lot the day we were shown what they would sell me at my target price of $15000 but did not show me any of those I've made campingworld aware of everything I've just told you but all I'm getting from them is apologizesBusiness Response

Purchases 20 inch bike on June 29 2022, I received the bike in the first week of July disassembled in a box. I had the Bike assembled on 8/31/22 for $80.25. When I picked the bike up from the shop, I noticed that the bike as not a 20 inch bike but was instead a 29 inch bike, way to bike for the 9 year old I indebted it for. I called camping world today 9/6/22 to inform them and spoke with the manager ****** (or ******) and she claimed I would have to disassemble the bike and return it if I wanted a refund. I asked how I am supposed to disassemble a bike I did not assemble and return it without a box in the mail and she responded she doesn't know (basically in a rude, not my problem fashion). I also asked her if they would the fee I paid to assemble it, she responded "no". I ordered a 20 inch bike and they sent me the the wrong bike which I also paid to assemble. The manager was dismissive, refused to understand my situation and in accommodating. Camping world made the mistake not me. It is camping worlds responsibility to make this right.Business Response

I purchased a used 5th wheel from Camping World of Cocoa. My sales associate provided a video walkthrough of the ** and pointed out a few scrapes on the side bumper. He mentioned that they had just put in a brand new couch and everything else had no damage. He answered all of my questions and I proceeded to purchase the ** on 7/18/2022. After receiving the **, there were actually quite a few deep punctures/scrapes in the sides and a portion of the slide was very bent. They handed me several keys for the multiple entrance doors and storage compartments and none of them worked except the main door and key. I was not able to lock up any of my belongings in the under storage. The doorknob on the bathroom door was missing and had damaged the slide molding. The refrigerator door was broken and did not close fully, preventing it from getting to the proper temperature. The side patio floor was buckling and pooling water causing further damage. It was also missing a handrail and a floor catch k*** causing my 2 year old grandson to fall off the patio onto the pavement. The shower was leaking into the under storage damaging everything I had stored underneath that was getting wet. The 3 season doors on the toy hauler were off the track causing the door to keep falling into the toy hauler and not closing properly. The trailer lights were not functioning properly - brake lights, turn signals mixed up, etc. As I began painting to put some personal touches, I found the walls in the living room slide to be soft and damp. As my son in law and I began to dig deeper, we had pulled back the baseboard and discovered a ton of mold. My cat was living in there, so we ended up cleaning it up quite a bit but ultimately had a mold specialist come out to test the levels and identify the moisture levels in the walls.As of September 1st, this ** was supposed to be my primary residence and now I'm out money on housing, lost deposits at campgrounds and time in my **.Business Response

I purchased an ** on 8/17/22, however I never received it until 8/26/22. On 8/31/22 I returned it back to CAMPING WORLD due to concerning puddle of water on the dashboard, extensive water damage to the wall that's over the windshield of above bed. Generator did not produce electricity to any major appliances, auto leveling is damaged, storage compartment wet after it rained, don't properly lock/close, main doors don't properly lock, random propane smell with valves closed, driver AC shuts off/or blows heat after driving on highway, control panel with "wiring Error", clunk noise when you turn, bleach stain on rug, tell tale of covering up mold growth. While searching for ** manuals, an email/letter from a prior owner, (who returned this unit within months) with additional issues. CAMPING WORLD WAS WELL AWARE OF ALL THESE ISSUES and did not disclosed, nor fixed them. They deceived us into thinking this unit was safe, almost as new. We do not trust this company nor do we want this ** or any products from them. We asked the loan department at M&TBANK for advise and they said to ask Camping World to write them a letter stating that the ** is in their possession and to stop the loan process because the process of payments requested have not been sent to me. ********************* (Sales Mgr.) was made aware of everything by email and verbally but he would only continue to talk about how the service ***** is working on fixing the leveling system. My credit, moneys, dreams, and health is at stake here and I am willing to pay for the fees necessary but I DO NOT WANT ANY BUSINESS WITH CAMPING WORLD. The trust is out the window, they take advantage of hard working people, I'm scared for my health and safety. Reading at all their reviews, we are not the only ones. Purchased my camper the first week of July, outright 47k cahs wire. We moved into it and the air conditioner never worked. Had a mobile service tech come out the second week of July to install an additional secondary ac unit for 2400$ and check the main ac. I was given a diagnostic of the main ac, that the compressors was broken. Mind you it's summer time in ******* so easily over 100. Purchased brand new 2022 Thor hurricane motorhome. Took possession, took it camping, and black water was leaking all over my compartments underneath. Had to leave camping trip early to take it to the shop, 2 days after purchasing. Camping World then proceeds to tell me they knew the macerater pump was faulty, and ordered a new one BEFORE I PURCHASED THE ***** My motorhome then sat in the shop for over two weeks while the wrong part was ordered, and who knows what else. I had to them rent a camper for the trips I had planned, coming out of pocket thousands of dollars after just purchasing an RV for 170k. I spoke to the sales manager ****, and expressed to him that I needed compensation from them. My unit was brand new, in the shop for almost 3 weeks, after they sold it to me knowing it was not acceptable. I have left countless voicemails, and cannot get a return call at this point. I have been very cordial until now, and expressed to them that my next course of action was a BBB complaint. He basically laughed at me and told me he has years in the auto industry and what they did was completely okay. I expect compensation for my brand rv sitting in the shop the first month I owned it, my camping trip being cut short due to a problem they knew existed, and having to rent campers after I just purchased one.Customer Answer

A request was submitted to campingworld of ******* ** on 23 May 2022 for cancellation of extended warranty. Finance director said it would *********** to 8 weeks to cancel and fund to my finance company. As of 1 Sept 2022 I asked what was the status of my request and I was told it hasnt been submitted. Ive sent emails with no replys. Ive phone with no return calls. I had to drive to the company to only get told 1) been submitted. 2) some lady in head office had court problems, 3) didnt received my request. And finally today it hasnt been submitted. We paid way over a thousand dollars for an oil change on engine and generator! It took two guys to do it at 165 labour and60 dollars in parts for engine. 56. For generator oil change with another 165 in labour, then they charged us122 for screen door handles and 82 for labour plus another 165 to diagnose! Same with shower door 165 and still not fixed!! Our 2021 heartland Mallard M 27 has been in the **************** shop for warranty repair from February 14, 2022 until mid June 2022, and again from July 1, 2022 until August 24, 2022. We then took our trailer out in later June for a trip, and when we got there, the stabilizer **** on the right rear Would take forever to go down and we then noticed that it was also defective. we took the trailer to the shop again on July 1 and it was there until August 24 of 2022. on July 1, 2022 I spoke with the service advisor, *********************** in **************** and ******* said that **** looks like a defective one it should be covered by Heartland. The trailer was in the shop again from July 1 until August 24, 2022. ******* called me in mid August and said that ********* had denied the claim on the stabilizer ****, but he could put a used one on from another trailer and only charge us for labor which was $300. ******* also said that we could turn in the claim for labor to Heartland and get reimbursed. He said this has been done numerous times. Before we were ready to pick up the trailer, I called Heartland and I asked why the claim was denied and how are we able to get our $300 back for the labor that we paid for.? *********************** at heartland had told us that there was NEVER a claim filed for the stabilizer ****, so it turns out that ******* lied to us and this is so so disappointing. I cannot believe that we were lured into paying $300 just for labor and got a used stabilizer jack **** another trailer that was broken., when in fact it shouldve been covered as defective from Heartland. I am rejecting this response because:This issue is NOT resolved. Please be aware that we informed the **************** Camping World service center in July about our rear stabilizer **** issue. The service advisor ************************* indicated that it should be covered by our extended warranty. We were then informed weeks later that the warranty claim was denied and that they could install a used one and that we would owe $300 for labor. We were also informed that we could contact Heartland directly and file a claim for reimbursement. Prior to picking up our camper, we called Heartland to inquire about the direct claim reimbursement process. They indicated that there was NO RECORD of a claim ever being filed (and therefore denied) by the Camping World Service Center in ****************. When we called to question this conflicting information, the service manager, *********************, informed us that this was not a warranty issue. So basically, the service advisor LIED by telling us a warranty claim was submitted and denied.We picked up our trailer from **************** Camping World and PAID the $300. Upon parking the trailer in storage, we realized that the switch that operates the rear stabilizer **** was not working! Strange that we never had an issue with the switch prior to this. We contacted **************** informed them of the issue and that our intention was to bring it to the Golden facility (1.5 hrs away) for repair since we no longer trust the integrity and service of the **************** facility.
The Golden facility service manager assessed the switch issue AND looked over the removed/damaged stabilizer **** and advised us that BOTHwere covered under our extended warranty. THIS IS WHAT **************** SHOULD HAVE DONE TO BEGIN WITH BUT INSTEAD CHARGED ** $300 TO INSTALL A USED STABILIZER JACK. We expect to be refunded the $300 that we originally paid **************** Camping World for a repair/replacement that was indeed covered by our extended warranty as determined by Golden Camping World.
This issue was escalated through their **************** line and through the Golden facility. We were supposed to receive a phone call from the Regional Manager, named ****, weeks ago to discuss this issue and have yet to hear from him.

We bought a new trailer in May 2021. Since the purchase the following has occurred:The first trip home, the water tank fell out. we had it fixed, and it fell out again. A lot of other issues happened that needed repairs, Camping World kept our new trailers for 6 months to fix it.All of our decals peeled off the trailer and had to be replaced. The water heater caught fire and then caught the trailer on fire.The water heater still doesn't work, and ignites in a fire ball. I bought two warranty's to cover everything on the trailer. Camping World did not have my warranty on file to cover cosmetic issues. The Sales Manager (*****) told us that he could not honor what the salesman (***) sold us because *** left the company and ***** wasn't the Sales manager when it was sold to us. This is absurd. Luckily I keep my files, and I have provided a copy of the additional signed warranty to show I had this extra warranty and I have not heard back yet if Camping World will honor it. The Salesman at Camping World advised us that our Salem FSXBHSK was Covid C*** and to buy a new one. I made a compliant with Camping World Headquarter, and the complaint was assigned to ****** and her supervisor *******. ******************* or ******* have returned any phone calls. Camping World will sell you a trailer and then not stand behind you or try not to resolve your issues. Our trailer is currently in the service **** waiting on approval from someone to fix the issues. I am hopeful that the issues and fire damage are fixed in entirety. I am also hopeful that someone from Camping World Corporate Headquarters actually calls me back. These are not large requests, just simple customer service requests.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.It took a while to find the right contact, but in the end. Camping World bought back my trailer and assisted us in getting a new trailer. We are very satisfied. Thank you to Camping World !!
