I went to the podiatrist today and while I was at my appointment, the *** yelled at me at the top of his voice. The nurse ****** left the door open, and I asked it be closed. She wouldn't allow it to be closed. I closed it, she came back and opened it again. and the ** came back and yelled at me and told me to get out of his office. He kicked me out. I don't think I should be charged for this appointment.Initial Complaint

I went to the *********** location (***************************) of Weil Foot and Ankle Institute. I only went two times to that location in 2022, with my last appointment on 9/07/2022. My final statement was dated 3/16/2023 and I had an account balance of $267.42 which was paid in full. On or about March 1, 2024 (one year later than the last statement), I received a bill for $20.24. Approximately one week later, I received another bill for $101.30. When I initially called their **************** to inquire why I received this bill, I was told that was "odd" and someone would get back to me which never occurred. I called again on March 7 and was told that an "audit" was done and it was determined that I owed this. How can I receive a bill 18 months after I was last seen? I have no way of knowing if this is correct. Due to the passage of time, I am requesting this this amount due of $101.30 be adjusted. I don't think a reputable business should send a bill 18 months later and request payment. I paid all my bills in full and I haven't had any appointments with this business in over 18 months. Perhaps their billing policies should be reviewed by the State of Illinois.Initial Complaint

I am a patient of the ************************* Institute, I order orthotics every year with no issues. Picked them up September 25, 2023 this time the orthodics came in and were not the right orthodics the doctor whom I met recently because the physician I was seen there for years moved to a different location told me to try the orthodics the way they are they might still work. I told him they were missing the most important part that I need for me to be able to walk without pain. told him I was not paying for the wrong product he still convinced me to try them and to call him if any issues and he would resolve. Needless to say the next day I wore them I could not walk back home I was in so much pain, the bottom of my foot was tender and soar, Tried them inside the house the same effect. I called the office to let them know I needed to take these orthodics back they are not right. Left messages the week of October 2, the week of October 9, October 16, October 23, November 3, November 13 November 17 this is what I was told each time by *****, ******, ******** "I am sorry you are having problems can I have your name so I can assist you. I HAD A COUPLE OF IN-PATIENT FOOT ***** PERFORMED BY WEIL FOOT & ANKLE INSTITUTE. MY INSURANCE COMPANY PAID ITS PORTION AND I HAVE BEEN PAYING DOWN THE PATIENT PORTION. MY JANUARY 2023 STATEMENT SHOWED A BALANCE DUE OF $1,507.84. I NOTICED DISCREPANCIES IN THE ***** FOR EXAMPLE, THERE WAS A $600 CHARGE BACK ON THE 1/16/2023 STATEMENT. I QUESTIONED IT BUT DID NOT GET A CLEAR ANSWER AS TO WHY I WAS CHARGED BACK $600. I LET IT GO. SINCE 1/2023, I HAVE BEEN SUBMITTING A $200 PAYMENT PER MONTH. 1/2023 THROUGH 5/2023 I SUBMITTED $1,000.00 IN PAYMENTS. I HAVE BANK STATEMENTS TO SUPPORT THESE PAYMENTS. SINCE 1/2023, THERE HAS BEEN NEW CHARGE BACKS ON THE WEIL FOOT & ANKLE INSTITUTE STATEMENTS WITH NO REASONABLE EXPLANATION. MY JUNE STATEMENT FROM **** STATED THAT I OWE $1,307.84, WHICH MEANS ONLY $200 OF THE $1,000 I SUBMITTED TO THEM IS BEING COUNTED TOWARDS THE BALANCE, $1,507.84, REFLECTED ON THE JANUARY STATEMENT. MY BALANCE DUE SHOULD BE $507.84, WHICH I AM READY TO PAY. I WANT WEIL TO GET THERE ACCOUNTING CORRECT. I HAVE TALKED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE SEVERAL TIMES AND I AM GETTING NOWHERE. I AM SUBMITTING 1/2023 - 5/2023 BANK STATEMENTS AND THE ******************************** STATEMENTS FROM 1/2023 AND 6/2023 WHICH SHOWS CHARGES SINCE 4/2022 TO 7/2022.Initial Complaint

I was taken to collections by this company for an unpaid balance. I made several attempts to get an explanation of, what I believed, to be a billing error. I chose this office because it was close to home. That local ************ office closed suddenly. I chose not to purchase the pricey orthopedic inserts offered after my exam and then received a $259 bill. I had a foot X-ray and foot exam. I couldnt reach anyone to answer questions about that amount and to eventually set up a $100 a month pay arrangement. I was always told to call another number but never reaching anyone with answers. While I sat in the lobby for my appointment at the ************ office, I heard a woman make billing related calls to customers. My ************** to me. Finally I got a call from the office, according to caller ID, and she explained it was my high $1000 ded that needed to be satisfied. She said to call a third party to make arrangements. I called that number and was told I had been sent to collections.
