    I have embryos being stored at a fertility clinic. The clinic has an external company called "Embryo Options" bill for them.I noticed that, without my authorization, Embryo Options made two $600 charges to my credit card (for a total of $1,200). When I called them, a manager said I had entered my credit card into their website on September 24 and promised to send me screenshots proving I had done so. They were never sent, and I know for a fact I didn't enter my credit card information. For one, there was no prompting event for me to do so, and for another, I was undergoing intensive medical treatment at that time.This company is charging credit cards without authorization and lying about having evidence that they were authorized.

    No personal biological content is stored with this company. They keep sending me bills, and I see that others have said the same thing. Billing long time past clients prior to this billing agency even being used, who have nothing in storage.

    My name is ******* *********, and I have a balance of $150 on my account. ***************************************** without my permission, knowledge or consent went head and charged my credit card $150. Conveniently, this transition was done over the weekend when this organization was close thus making sure, I the customer unable to contact this organization until Monday. This is literally FRAUD and I do intend to report this organization for such practices

    Embryo Options claims they help people store their embryos for equal and fair price with reliable customer service. However, every year the price continues to increase, when I questioned them about the price increase, I was told that they had no reason for the increase and could not actually justify it. Also, with billing I called to make a payment on a different card, and they still tried to charge the other card I asked them not to charge the next day. IVF, infertility is one of the hardest things a women/couple has to go through and the lack of compassion and constant misleading information and miscommunication I have gotten from them over the years has got to come to an end. Women do not choose to go through this, and have to live with this FOREVER.

    Record ID ****** Invoice 45639-A On December 24, 2023, we started getting bills from Fertility Storage Solutions another name on the bill is Ovation Midwest Fertility Specialist another name on the bill is Embryo Options. I contacted them 2 28 2024, again in early March 2024, again March 27, 2024 email, March 28, 2024, email again ********* based on my phone calls. Originally, I asked to stop sending us bills because clearly it was a mistake as we do not have the service or anything of the like with any company.This company immediately sent us an email for us to create an account on their website. We refused to do that because we are not customers. My husband needed a service 18 years ago. Since then he has not needed their service. After several calls, we still remain that we do not need their service, my husband's sperm was fine 18 years ago and is fine today, we have no idea what theyre holding it in storage if they have anything in storage. They want him to sign a disposition form, we agreed to sign a disposition form for whatever they have. However, we will do that if they make the balance zero and leave us alone. They are refusing to leave us alone and we have no idea what if anything is they have in storage and why theyre sending us bills. We have been married for many years, have the same address and its completely inappropriate for this company just start sending us bills for $2000 out of nowhere. Again, we remain the same . We are not paying $2000, they need to stop sending us bills. We would like this resolved as soon as possible. Also, we think that this is a total scam. Please tell them to leave us alone. We are just being nice to sign a disposition - we don't think we have to do anything.

    Here is the Clarifying documentation you are requesting.

    We strongly beleive this is a fraudulent charge, we don't need anything like this service, for 7 years of living at this address, we have never received a regular bill and we don't know them - now,  we should just give them $2,000 out of the blue? We are not paying $2000, they need to stop sending us bills. We would like this resolved as soon as possible. Leave us alone. We are just being nice to sign a disposition - we don't think we have to do anything.

    We have paid this business around $5,959 over the course of about a year. The billing scheme is such that you pay $65/month per *** cycle regardless of the # of embryos that are frozen. After 3 rounds of *** ($1700/cycle was the embryo options cost alone) we were forced to pay 3 separate payments of $65/month (~$190/month) to store about 6 embryos. The *** process is difficult enough as is, without this company preying on the vulnerable to extract monthly payments. They do not allow you to "consolidate" cryogenic preservations; so regardless of how many embryo's you have, you will pay a fee per month/per cycle. We asked. They are also non-responsive to us and the medical team. We transferred our embryo's from the facility to a new facility and still received for remaining samples which they had been given direction to discard.

    My wife and I pursued IVF through a medical practice in *********** in 2015. For more than 7 years, I received no information or bills regarding these procedures. Beginning in Q1 of 2023, I began receiving bills from EmbryoOptions for cryopreservation. We were not aware at any point in the preceding 7 years that our embryos were still stored, nor has a representative from EmbryoOptions contacted us to discuss the embryos disposition, yet EmbryoOptions is charging us $590 for past "cryopreservation", as well as an annualized rate of $440 for ongoing preservation. This business practice morally repugnant, as it preys upon vulnerable families without provision of any clinical or psychosocial support. It also violates the *********** statute of limitation for debt collection actions resulting from simple and implied contracts (CGS ******; attachment 1).

    In October 2020, I received a bill from Embryo Options in the amount of $400.00 (Record ID *******, Invoice #***-A. However, this is incorrect. I do not have any frozen sperm with this organization or with IVF Florida. Additionally, this complaint is being filed because there have been numerous times that IVF Florida has billed me incorrectly for services not rendered. Each time this occurs, it takes me dozens of hours of writing emails, escalating to management, working with my insurance company and producing documents to prove that they are billing me incorrectly. It is unbelievable and incredibly frustrating that despite not being a patient with this company for a long time, I am now receiving yet another bill that is incorrect. I do not have frozen sperm and this bill is incorrect and should never have been sent to me. In the past, I've escalated my concerns via email to the *** of IVF Florida and included ******************. I am tired of continuing to be billed incorrectly for services not rendered. IVF Florida and ***** Storage need to be made aware of the consequences of continuing to cause pain and heart ache to their former patients by continuously sending bills to my house for services that were never performed - such as this bill I just received for $400! How dare you continue to waste my time and energy, requesting money for services that never occurred, and that I never requested? Shame on you for putting this burden on families. I am requesting that Embryo Options immediately sends me a letter to apologize for sending me this $400 bill, and state that the bill was sent to me in error. I need this resolved no later than December 1, 2023.
