Allstate has provided my personal information to my wife's ex-husband and I filed a complaint to get this resolved. Allstate chose not to remove him from having my personal information and chose not to notify me that they would not remove him from having this information. Allstate needs to be held liable for allowing a person to have private information that should never be allowed to be shared, but instead of fixing the problem they allow the problem to continue. I was not aware of my wife's ex-husband still having access to my account until he filed a claim against the insurance.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: on Monday August 22, 2022 I received an email stating I had a claim on my insurance policy. I contacted Allstate to see what this claim was about because my wife stated she didn't make a claim. After contacting Allstate, their representative at first refused to provide me the information for this claim. I stated that I just received another message stating thank you Mr./************* I explained that to the representative who at first refused to provide me with the details of this claim because I wasn't the one who created the claim. After I quickly explained to the representative what happened just a year ago, he stated that it was once again ***************** (my wife's ex-husband) who this company provided my information to at the beginning who created this claim. I immediately contacted the office of *************************** and the secretary stated that she was fully aware of what has happened and has addressed the problem. If this response was even partially true then why would the representative state that she's aware of what just occurred this past Monday and has taken care of the problem? To ignore this and say that it has already been addressed shows the lack of care and awareness from this Allstate office in taking care of their customers.

I have been in contact with the Allstate representative who is fully aware of the situation. She stated she is in contact with the corporate office to get this matter fixed immediately. I have also sent my complaint to the **** Insurance Commission who is reviewing my case and should be getting back to me soon. I 100% do not agree with Allstate corporation or how they linked my account to my wife's ex-husband, but understand that this office has done what they can do to fix the problem and it's up to Allstate corporation to fix this matter!

Allstate Insurance Claim for water damage to the basement area including damage to the main room, one bedroom, 2 closets and one utility room. The claim was received on 5.22.22 and entered on 5.28.22. The written insurance claim was given to us on 6.25.22. We are disappointed and do not feel that our claim was accurately assessed for the type of water damaged determined by Allstate. The initial conversations up to the day that we were to have the final estimate and settlement under dwelling water loss -full coverage of the damage minus $500 deductible. That day the claim was changed to sewer coverage at $5000 cap without a deductible. The estimate of damage by Allstate to fix was $8569.67. Under the policy it states that Allstate shall not provide incomplete facts in regards to settlement and payment to the claimant. Allstate, ***************************- put the claim through as a sewer backup. Water samples were clean, the water was clean and without odor. The source of the water damage has not been determined with sound evidence. It was determined by default. We feel that this is not fair to us. At this point ***** and her supervisor, *********************, are not returning our calls or emails. We requested a meeting with them and have not heard back at this point. I am rejecting this response because: We received a message from Allstate on Thursday 25 from a representative of the Corporate Customer Advocacy Department. The message indicated that our complaint with BBB was forwarded to the Claims dept. She stated that we were supposed to receive a call from this department in 48 hours. Today is Monday morning and we have not received a phone call. We would like to continue to pursue this complaint as we feel the decision by Allstate was not justified. The Contractor from Water Mitigation company that we have worked with met with us to discuss that Allstate had contacted them during this process to proceed forward as the claim would be covered under dwelling with all cost to be covered minus our deductible. He was even requested to go ahead remove a carpet sample and LVT sample to move forward on getting an estimate on materials cost. The water mitigation company and us, the homeowners, were both surprised when Allstate completely switched their assessment at the final day to not cover the costs under dwelling. Our initial filing of the water damage was at the end of May. The entire process to come to a final decision did not occur until July 8, 2022 with the reversal of the dwelling to sewer backup. This change in the description of water damage went from full coverage minus the $500.00 deductible to only a total sum of $5000.00 to cover their estimate $8267.76. During this process we have requested a meeting from our assigned agent and her supervisor without any communication back. The supervisor has not called us back when my husband left her a message. We have also asked numerous times to send us the policy on water damage and this has not been given to us. You also cannot find water damage policies on the website. We also have requested the estimate and assessment from our water mitigation company and the insurance has not provided us this. They claim we do not have access to this information by law. During this entire time, we also did have an actual plumber come to assess the damage with the opinion for this claim. We hired a plumber after the denial of Allstate. The assessment by the plumber was that there was no evidence of a backup from the sewer by testing the system to run all of our water sources at one time for the duration of 20 minutes. This assessment was also done by the water mitigation company at the time of the event without evidence of a backup. All in all in the policy by Allstate there is a clause in the Claim that states Allstate is not to provide a conclusion while providing incomplete evidence and information to the policy holder in determining a decision on the claim.

Allstate worked on a resolution with the ***************** and Central Complaints department. A satisfactory resolution was completed. I thank the follow up team in assisting with my needs. I am disappointed on the reason I needed to contact the BBB in the first place. To come to an incomplete resolution initially that did not seem appropriate or just to myself or my husband was a disappointment in the Allstate department that we worked with. My wife and daughter were in an accident in January 2022. They were t-boned at a light when the car that hit them ran a red light. The car was deemed a total loss and my wife and daughter went to the ** and had a few subsequent doctor follow-**** We decided to not go with our insurance but instead go through the person that hit us insurance which was Allstate. They have been vague and always behind in their communications. Anything they have asked for I have sent within hours if not minutes of them asking. Especially our medical bills. We now have bills going to collections and Allstate just keeps dragging their feet and saying it is a long process. When contacting our doctors offices with those bills we are told Allstate hasnt provided any info to them and in most cases hasnt even contacted them. We are being placed as the middle people and doing Allstates job in trying to track down all the info needed when it is on the bills we have sent them. We also had a dispute with the rental car we were to pay upfront for and they had it incorrect and yet another thing that I had to dive into to get corrected with no help from any supervisor at Allstate. We also use to be clients of theirs and when trying to do the 3rd party login to see forms and such we can not access because the system they use still sees us as clients and wont let me login. I have told them multiple times I do not have access please help. We feel we are being punished for being hit by their client. It has not nearly 7 months and I have asked many times for a manager or senior level person to contact me and that has happened once and was not helpful.Business Response

I contacted Allstate to use my towing option to have my motorcycle picked up and delivered to my residence / Allstate said they were looking up the best price and charged me over $168 dollars and then within ******************************** Areals Trans scheduled to pick up the vehicle within the next hour - the shop the bike was at was left out after hours to be picked up but Allstate called roughly 3 hours later to say the towing *** Canceled and Id have to call back an resubmit my information to try and have my vehicle picked up rather than attempting to find an available business and left my vehicle unattended. I had to call my own tow truck and take care of things last minute on my own with no help from my INS ***** thank god it wasnt a situation where I was stranded. Not very professional of a major *** like Allstate and not to mention this was August 3rd , they had no problem taking my money for the tow that never arrived but now its August 22nd and I still have not been refunded my money and was told it can take over a month .Business Response

Was denied coverage to fix my bumper because I didn't have evidence that it was bought with duct tape. That's ridiculous. I would not buy a used car with the bumper falling off. I was in a car accident a few months ago where the other driver was 100% at fault and she had Allstate insurance. They have all the documents and medical records ect. to calculate my settlement, and even have given me multiple settlement offers in concordance with my injuries and payed for my totaled vehicle after many frustrating calls and false an empty hope, 4 different agents, they are now delaying my payout because they said they had been emailing the wrong doctor for weeks and have to get information that I've already provided at this point I'm continued to be given the run around after requesting to speak to a supervisor. I am a single father who's been without the ability to purchase another car for months not to mention the inconvenience of not having transportation to work for months and I make a 20 mile commute daily. They told me that with the cost of my medical bills and the pain and suffering they were going to give me a 14,000$ settlement a few weeks ago and since then I've been on call after call transfer after transfer with no results or valid information as to what's going on. My name is ************************ 2 weeks ago I got rear ended by an Allstate insured car driven by a 16 year old. Police came to the scene of the accident. Officer ****** questioned me and other driver and wrote a police report (LOPC2206448). He determined that the other driver was at fault. I am Unit 2 on the report. I also obtained the traffic crash report with the narrative and diagram which clearly shows that the other driver ran a red light and rear ended me. I filed a claim with Allstate (claim #**********). I talked to an Allstate representative by the name of *******. After the accident, I was experiencing random headaches. I asked if I was entitled to a medical evaluation, to which ******* said that I am not. I am a teacher and need a good presentable looking car to get to and from school. The rear bumper on mine is ugly now and looks very embarrassing. I asked if I am entitled to a rental car until my car is fixed. The answer to that was also no. After sending Allstate pictures of the damages to my car, Allstate representative by the name of ***** told me that they cannot get a hold of the other driver in order to further proceed with the claim. He said that the other driver is not answering their phone. Allstate said that in order to pay me they need approval from the other driver. Therefore, for Allstate, the police paperwork / statements dont matter. This is their outrageously insane policy that they need the offender to agree that the victim will be compensated for the damages. Now the school year started and I am frustrated as I am stuck with my ugly car and reoccurring headaches. I am depressed and do not feel like I am in good hands with Allstate. I keep getting cold calls from Allstate on Saturdays and I don't have an active policy with them. I've told them to never call me again and to stop calling me, but they just did it again today. I submitted a claim on a stolen catalytic converter on 7/29/2022 on my Class A Motorhome. The shop I took it to sent them an estimate on 8/4/2022. The shop texted me on 8/11/2022 and told me they had not heard anything. I got in contact with Allstate on 8/12/2022 and they said they would submit the estimate that day after they had it already for 5-6 business days.I heard nothing until I called them on 8/19 and they told me that it was being assigned to an ******** and it would be about 6-8 weeks. I escalated at that point and they said it was being an ******** that day.I called the agent and they got into contact with the claims department and now I'm being told the Sr. ******** will be assigned between 8/26 and 8/30.They have had since 8/4/ to get this settled and they have literally done nothing except decline the estimate.Business Response
