Allstate Claim No. ********** June 4, 2022 Ruptured water heater on 6/3 or 6/4, not exactly sure which day, because we were out of town. My son walked over from across the street on 6/4 and found water covering our wood floors, the water heater is located in a closet in the center of the house. He immediately called us and Facetime so my wife and I could see the damage, we were shocked to see how much water was covering the wood floors in our house. I told him to shut the water off at the street, he wasn't sure how to do it, so he went across the street to get a neighbor to help. *********************** walked over and was able to shut the water off at the street. My son ************** and *********************** are the two eye-witnesses to see the full extent of water damage at the time of the accident, my wife and I saw on Facetime.When we got home on 6/5, the standing water had already soaked into the drywall and receded below the top of the wood floors. I immediately brought in fans to help dry the water-soaked wood as we removed the flooring to assess damages. We took several pictures at this point to document the water damage. Overall, I submitted 18 pictures to Allstate and Ill include them with this complaint:7 - water damage to flooring and walls 7 - wall demo with mold killer applied 3 - new water heater w/ sensor and automatic shut-off valve installed 1 - wall repair The water damage facts listed below have been substantiated by two eye-witnesses in the house, two eye-witnesses via facetime, also both my contractor and plumber have verbally explained to ****** in detail the cause of the water leak and water damage extents:-Water heater did rupture while we were out of town for the weekend -Water did leak out onto the floors for a maximum of 24 hours -Drywall did soak up water for a minimum of 24 hours -Soaking water did extensive damage to the wood floors and walls -Plumber did verify the cause of the water damage, ruptured water heater (report & invoice attachBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because:The water damage facts remain and those facts have been substantiated by a total of six (6) people - two eye-witnesses in the house, two eye-witnesses via facetime, *********************** (contractor) and ******************************* (Plumber).
Below is an eye-witness account from *********************** (neighbor).
Current Inconvenience Fee after 80 days has accumulated to $52,080 (compensatory damages) + $16,150 (contractor invoice)
On June 4, 2022, I was working in my backyard when **************************, son of ********************* came into my backyard asking me for assistance turning off the water to his parents' house. He said water was in the living room.
I went to their house and immediately turned off the water line coming into the house. I asked ************** to let me in the house to see what had happened. When I entered the house, I could smell a musty odor and see water over the wooden floors leading from the hallway to the living room. I walked over the floors in the living room and water would seep through the floors as I walked over them. I then walked to the hallway and into the bathroom. Water was standing in the hallway and bathroom floors as well as seeping into the drywall, but nothing was running anywhere since the water had been cut off at the street. Nevertheless, water had essentially permeated the entire floor plan.
I called and texted ***** to tell him of the situation.

I have had H323234363531**363030H cover for about 27 years. Recently we had a lot of rain in ********* and my roof started leaking. I have to have a tarp put on the house to prevent the leaking. I called Allstate and made a claim (**********). They don**;t send their own adjuster out. They have subcontractor come out. He said that there was hail and wind damage. They don**;t want to fix every thing that is wrong, only patch it, not replace the entire roof. The ceiling has water damage.Business Response

Our dishwasher leaked and we placed a claim ********** with allstate in the middle of June 2022. We requested to have a temporary sink as the original was removed to ***** the water damage. It has been ten weeks and there has been no resolution for a temporary sink that I could buy retail and install myself for about $200.00. On 8/15 the allstate agent ***** ************ sent an email stating that he "forgot to update the notes in XactAnalysis, so they did not see my approval until this morning." (Attached) When I called ***** today, 8/16, he stated that the issue was with the contractor. I attempted to correct him and asked for contact information for a superior so I could make a complaint. He refused, the conversation became heated and I was hung up upon twice. Ten weeks for the authorization for a temporary sink is absolutely absurd and I would appreciate assistance in at least information to keep the claim progressing if not assistance in resolution. ******* delinquency in his actions has caused this delay, not the contractor and my inability to resolve this with allstate has also been prolonged by ******* refusal to provide me with information to make any type of complaint whatsoever. My Condominium ************************************************************************************ flooded my condominium and Allstate insurance company will not send my adjuster to see the damage from August 10, 2022. All of my personal property is ruined and I am handicapped and need help. All three condominium's home owners have left the property. I have been flooded the worst. Claim number: ********** Date of loss: 06/20/2019 Allstate insurance agent illegally lied in 2019 and told me I could not pursue a personal injury claim which is why he is no longer working for the company. He was fraudulent that was a fraudulent practice and Allstate knew it. He lied to deter me from filing a personal injury claim and gave me false information which Allstate is now admitting was inaccurate information. Allstate is also refusing to reimburse me for a bag that was lost and flew out of my car due to the impact of my car being rear ended by their insured, *********************. I am requesting the immediate release of all phone call transcripts made to Allstate in 2019 in regards to this claim. By law, they have to pay for any of my property damage and I have not only uploaded evidence of purchase and my property damage. This information about my car being filled with items was also in the police report. I legally have 6 years to pursue a property damage claim and they are refusing to reimburse my property for a bag that was lost as a direct result of this accident. This is illegal and unethical. They also lied to me on a recorded line and told me in 2019 when I initially contacted them that I was not able to file an injury claim and they werent going to pay anything. This was false, this was a lie, this was illegal and it was all stated by the Allstate agent ***************************************. I want all of the transcripts immediately for my legal records, I want the transcripts of every phone call. Allstates AT FAULT insured hit me while I was pregnant and Allstate insurance agent LIED to me on a recorded phone call and told me I would not be able to file a personal injury claim, now they are claiming the statue of limitations has passed. But I initially contacted them in 2019. Why would they lie to me and tell me I was not able to file an injury claim and they wouldnt pay out? This is fraudulent and illegal. After filing a roof replacement claim for storm damage in 2020, Allstate raised our homeowners insurance premium by 131% (from $3914 to $9054) for the year starting September 2021. We have held homeowners insurance with Allstate for over 20 years. We have filed very few claims over this time, but we filed claims for storm damage to our roof in 2017 (denied) and 2019 (unpaid). In 2020 we sustained more storm damage, and enough damage to the point that the claim could no longer be denied. Allstate eventually agreed to do a full roof replacement, partially due to the fact that I had repaired the roof myself after the previous storm. However, when our policy was automatically renewed in September 2021, Allstate had raised our yearly homeowners insurance premium 133% (from $3914 to $9054). The agents claim that they tried to contact us before the rate adjustment; I do not recall any emails warning of this massive rate hike. The first notice that we had of this change, was a notice from our mortgage holder in January 2022 that there was an $11,000 shortage in our escrow account and that they would be raising our monthly mortgage payment by about $1,400 to cover the shortage. We wrote a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, and our mortgage holder responded that the increased monthly payment was due to an increase in our homeowners insurance premium. I spoke with the insurance agent (************) on July 11, 2022. She indicated that the rate increase was due to: 1) Automatic building replacement cost increase; 2) Change in the rating group classification; 3) Loss of our previously held 25% premium discount since we filed a claim in 2021 (this should be illegal). When we sought a new insurer, we were denied because of too many claims in LexusNexus: 1) The 2019 ***** claim that was unpaid, 2) A 2020 claim for vet bills because my dog got into a fight with my neighbors dog, 3) a second 2020 claim for vet bills, and 4) the 2021 roofing claim.Business Response

My vehicle was involved in an auto accident and other driver was at fault. Both drivers have Allstate insurance, my vehicle was totaled on accident that occurred 6/14/22. I recently switched my insurance provider and noticed Allstate was charging me for insurance on my vehicle for 2 months after it was totaled. I called on August 9th to inquire why and was told they can only backdate insurance cancellations 30 days and would cancel it effective July 9th. They made an error and didnt cancel the totaled vehicle on 6/14/22 after being notified and Im being penalized. Its a small amount but they wont take accountability for their error.Business Response

I was charged and aent to collections on something i didn't owe i reached out to the company about the issue and they disregarded me several times put me on hold then had collections harass me when they had gotten an over payment and still to this day owe me $200 for allstate motor club towing reimbursement ( which is a separate over pay that i payed to their company).Business Response
