  PARENTS, AVOID! Unsafe for Children!!The movers were inexperienced, inefficient, and poorly organized. They cut off the DO NOT REMOVE envelope (containing the safety and assembly instructions) zip-tied by the manufacturer to our child's crib and must have thrown it away. They also left vital pieces of hardware for the crib strewn around the old apartment floor and I had to go back and search for it by the light of my phone and then try to reassemble it from memory so my child could sleep. They were also completely unfamiliar with safety brackets fastening bookshelves to walls, a simple device with two screws. They took an amazing 6 hours just to move already packed boxes and emptied furniture from a 1 bedroom apartment, causing a truly astonishing amount of overtime fees. A low quote turned into an absolute fortune. DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN.

  My wife and I cannot emphasize enough - do NOT use Two Men and a Truck - particularly their Northbrook branch.We had a series of really unfortunate experiences with Two Men and Truck's Northbrook location both during and after our move, at almost every touchpoint.To start, they have a broken estimating process, where they do not come out to do a sizing estimate and ask the customer to estimate belongings by number and size of boxes before even beginning the packing process. This should have been a red flag on our part to start.However, beyond that, Two ************* both during the move itself and afterwards, was horrendously poor. They gave us undertrained and bad / lazy movers. They poorly wrapped our furniture, banged a bunch of our walls and packed our truck in an improper and sloppy manner. Ultimately, because of all this, several of our furniture pieces were damaged - some beyond repair. Many pieces were scratched significantly. The movers were almost six hours late to delivery and, again, understaffed such that the delivery did not finish until about 11pm.Throughout our move and subsequently after as we were trying to deal with the aftermath, the company was not responsive. They poorly communicated. They provided very little support both during and after our move. They rarely called back. One of the owners, *********************, promised to call us back. Never did. We left two voice messages. Still never called us back.In the end - Two Men did not stand behind their service and completely lacked any accountability.We purchased the full insurance option. Even with everything that happened, they are still giving us a hard time offering only a paltry amount of money required to adequately repair to pre-move condition or replace when required.This company takes no ownership of their mistakes. From our experience, they seem to be in it for the quick sell and nothing more.Do yourselves a favor and do NOT use Two Men and Truck!
