My septic alarm turn on Tue, wed morning I called and informed Helmar about this. They mentioned that they are in my area and can come there in 10 mins. Service call charges will be $150 and if any repair that would be waived off. They came in 10 mins. Opened lift station and pump started working. Technician told that it was something weird and when he wiggled cord it started working. He mentioned that everything should be fine. I asked that since they have already opened lift station why dont they pump it. They asked me that it will cost $289 to pump lift station, which is under 300 gallon. I mentioned since it is opened lets do it. I paid $289. Technician mentioned in the notes Taped alarm float to riser pipe. Float *** have gotten stuck. After testing the pump is working. In the night alarm again turned on. I called next morning. Technician told that float might be stuck again and we need to come again and *** be we can install new float. I asked about cost and was told it is not expensive. I told that I had service a day before and paid $289, I was told that dont worry we will take care of it. Next day technician came and put new float and I got bill of $200. What.$200 for a $20 float. I called and told that I already paid $289 for service call yesterday and why again $200. Total $489 for a float change. I was told that technician who came day before was not carrying float. Means a service call technician is not equipped with all things they need to fix it and they will need to come again and will charge again. Customer will have to pay $489 for a $20 float. Stay away from company who doesnt have skilled technician and not carrying all necessary equipment and put all overhead on customer to pay $489 for $20 float.
