First date-7/29/22. Came to diagnose problems with washer and dryer. Stated that I needed an new tear drum for washer and solanoid for dryer. Had me order rear drum directly at >$500 because he said that he didnt have room to store it. I was to call him when part came in. Because the repair was going to be >$1000 in total, he charged $312 to my credit card for advance payment. I called him to let him know when part arrived and we set up for him to come on Monday, August 8. He called before he was supposed to come and I had to remind him exactly what he was going to be doing. He said that this was a 2 person job and set it up for Wednesday, August 10 in the am. He never called and never showed. I contacted him on Wednesday, August 17 to ask for a date and time for my repair. He texted me back and said Tuesday, August 23 in the am. He once again did not call or show up. I texted him and told him that I no longer wanted him to repair my appliances. I do not have confidence in his ability to show up when he says that he will and now even less confidence in his ability to repair my washer and dryer. I told him I expected a full refund of the $312 that he charged to my credit card in advance of the work that he was hired for. He then proceeds to tell me that he could come out at any time to install the part. I said that if that were true, he should have come during one of the 3 appointments that he scheduled and did not come. I have since hired another repair company that will be here on Monday. I told him that I wanted no further contact with him with the exception of refunding the $312 for work not completed. I am hopeful I will be able to return the $500 part if it is not needed.
