      On Monday 1/27/2025 I needed an emergency tow from highway ********************** ************* ******** to a destination in ******* ********. I called the nearest towing service (Speedy G) for an estimate. I was quoted the price over the phone, that the service would be ****** USD plus 4.00 per mile. I accepted the estimate and was towed to ****************************** ****** map tells me the distance between the 2 locations is 23 miles. At 4.00 USD per mile, this this would add up to ***** USD. The flat rate of ****** plus ***** adds up to ****** USD.However, when we reached the destination I was handed a bill of ****** dollars. Understandably outraged I called the office and was told that the charge was for additional distance to pickup the towed vehicle and for fuel used to destination and back. The truck operator refused to release my vehicle until I paid the charge. I am willing to pay the ****** USD. But I dispute the fraudulent ****** USD charge with extreme prejudice. I hope you find merit in my case and support my dispute.

      03/18/2024 9:40 pm I called Speedy Gs in regards to towing my car from **************************************** ******** to my home address. ( 6.6 miles ) . They quoted me 120 for hookup plus 4 $ a mile. When I got to my house the driver told me the office sent him 2 prices. One at 290 and then the other at 220 if I write a good review. The math wasnt mathing for me so I I asked for a breakdown and the driver told me to call the office so I did, I called and it continued to ring so the driver told me to hang up and keep trying. We sat infront of my house and I called 7 times until I finally got an answer. Dispatch then got rude and didnt give a clear answer to the number they gave or a simple breakdown so it makes sense. They should be more transparent If you look at the reviews online others say the same

      On 2-24-25 I called speedy g for a tow 16 miles away from home.I was quoted $125 to load and $4 per mile.= $189.00 but no total dollar amount was given at this time.The driver even asked if I was given a quote? Yes, and I repeated above.Driver said nothing. Upon arriving at our destination I'm now told I am responsible to pay for mileage to and from the speedy g base location and that I owe $395 now.I called back and got the run around from the same employee. Even telling me he was not the guy that took the original call and no owners or managers are available. Next the threatened to impound my vehicle at their storage facility if I did not pay up.I only paid under extreme duress. I was forced to pay, I had no choice..I would like to see a $200 refund out of the $395 they swindled out of me..Thank You

      On Saturday February 15 2025, I contacted Speedy G tow service with base in ******** Illinois Over the phone the quoted $125 plus $4 per miles and added fuel charge 20% , they tow me 2.5 miles I was expecting around $175 and the end up charging me $270 in 6 minutes. Criminal and abusive. And they don't even breakdown the charges. The receipt they gave me is barely visible.

      On February ******* due to a mechanical problem i need a car towing in skokie area. I found the number online and called the towing company. They told me we will charge you flat $ 95 plus $ 4 per mile. I told them let me thing. After half an hour a tow truck from them came to my location. Considering very low temperatures I agreed to tow my truck to the location nearly 7 miles to a car shop. After completing the service drive asked me $ 402 via Zelle or $429 using credit card. It was very unexpected price for me. He said we will charge you price from **************** location even the truck came from skokie location. After failing to convince and connecting with their office, they charge me $429. These charges are not in accordance with the price quote. When I called them for bill, they were very misbehaving and said you can file complaint to even *** nothing gona happened.

      I called Speedy G before booking a tow to get a pricing quote. When I spoke to the operator on the phone, they informed me that the tow charge would be for hook up and $4 per mile. When I stated to the operator "so thats about ***** miles, so I'm looking at about $250?", and operator said "yes". When the driver dropped my car off, he told me the tow charge was $600! When I asked why, he told me that the charge included "total mileage". That meant that I was paying for the mileage it took to get to the vehicle, as well as the mileage to tow the vehicle back. After requesting an itemized receipt, I now see that I was charged an additional $360 worth of fees that were not disclosed at the time of quoting. They also threatened to impound my vehicle if I didn't pay which would also incur storage fees. If I knew all of this ahead of time, I wouldn't have booked with this company. I've called numerous times to discuss the charges and speak with a manager, but they are always "busy". This company shouldn't be in business.

      My car was towed from ************ to ************* IL and I was quoted $222.00. When the arrived to ************* the driver demanded I pay $421.00 before I can get my car. This company is known for doing this to unsuspecting customers. I read the review afterward on ****** and **** I realized this company is known for doing this to customers. I should have been charged $222.00 which I agreed on $150.00 hookup plus $4 a mile and it was $18 ******** was on 01/18/2025

      I hired Speedy G towing out of ************ ,** to tow my semi truck and trailer after breaking down. I was told over the phone the company charges 195$ per hour port to port.I was not told this is per unit charge or that there is fuel surcharge or additional fees. None of that information was disclosed.Once the truck was towed to the final destination ( 15 ml away) i was given a total of $2542. I was not given an invoice and pre towing disclosures and i was not advised i needed to pay prior to service ccomplited. I called the company and asked for break down of the charges and invoice. I was told that if i dont pay right away i will have to pay more since they charge per hour. I asked if they expect their customers to pay prior to receiving invoice and to that i was asked why i did not call earlier.I told them i called the moment i was told the amount and asked when i was supposed to call. When i originally asked for estimate , i was told that they dont know , even though miles were provided and they knew what needed to be towed. I should have been charged less then half of what i paid and i was forced to pay as they were using scary tactics and telling me that i will have to pay even more if i started asking questions. Customer ********************** *** was extrimely rude. I emailed asking for the owners information ,as i was hoping this was missunderstanding but never heard back. i filed complaint with the ************************* . my complaint was send to the **************************** police. Unfortinetly they could not help much ,but end up issuing a ticket to Speedy G for not providing pre tow disclosure. I am asking for reimbursment of all additional charges that were not disclosed.

      10/25/2024 we (FYX Fleet) engaged Speedy G for a HD Tow Service. Our dispatcher called and asked specifics about their pricing and was quoted $295/Hour. Timing was discussed and the amount of time required to complete the tow was discussed. We have these calls recorded. When this was completed we were presented a bill for $2832.00. We were not informed of the following addtional charges:Fuel Surcharge - $324 Air Supply/Service Line (Tractor) - $295 Drive Shaft Removal - $295 Drive Shaft Install - $295 All told we believe their business practices to overcharge while they have the equipment basically "locked up" and held for ******. We would like a refund of $1209.00

      I called this company before telling them to tow my car to ask for a price I was told $125 flat price with $4 per mile I asked for all the details of the payment and they just reverted the conversation back this rate and failed to specify on purpose Ive worked with 10+ towing companies before and the per mile rate is from pick up to destination I wasnt at the drop off location but I received a bit for $325 shortly after for this 10/15 minute toll that was maybe 6/7 miles I immediately called and asked them to correct the bill to which they responded that it is correct.I held in my frustration at first and asked him to break down the numbers fully to which he said that it was 19 miles total from where the driver had to drive from, to me, then to the drop off but that still does not accurately reflect the price at all I said that and the *** **** up on ***** this point I was furious. I called back and now the *** said that the price is justified because it also includes the driver driving back to base plays the fuel surcharge plus all this other stuff.$150 for this tow would have been a high price $325 is completely over the top.I said theres no way Im paying this especially when I called in advance to ask for the price which they tried to keep as vague as possible Never once mentioned that theres a fuel surcharge, all these other fees and all this extra millage added.I had no choice but to pay because they threatened to impound my car I looked on their reviews shortly after and this company runs an absolutely dishonest business, gets complaints all the time, damages peoples property, gives dishonest rates, ect..Its sick and this company should be either fined, taken to court, or be put out of business. They absolutely rob people And their ****** reviews say this everywhere
