      On 6/20/2023 my ***** was deemed 'not safe to drive' due to a radiator fan issue. I called Speedy G's for a tow. Their ****** ad stated tow within elgin is $69. They say that they'd be there in 20 minutes, took over 30 minutes for the tow to arrive. After he started my car (even after being told that it was not safe to do so) he drove it out of the spot it was parked in and loaded it onto the tow truck. I was then charged $382 for them to take the car 3.7 miles to the dealer. Upon arriving at the dealer they neglected to inform the service worker who's car it was or why it was there (all of which was asked to be shared and confirmed it would be). They tossed the keys at the service worker saying 'the tow is outside' then ran out of the building. I had called on the 20th at 5:53 pm in regards to the overcharging and was told that a supervisor would reach out to me in 24 hours or less. I have called 3 times on the 21st leaving messages and not heard back.

      On Friday June 2nd 2023- I called Speedy G Towing Service *** because I need my car towed (it was the highway shoulder with a flat) 290 going West Bound right before exit 7 (Lake St) , I search towing near me and Speedy G Towing came up becuase per ****** their location is in ********** which was about 5-6 miles away from where my car was at . I called to confirm their rates and I spoke to ****************** said "125$ for hookup, 4$ per mile" , that is all he stated nothing else. The destination of where my car would taken was a tire shop which was 5.4 miles away from where my car was stranded , I agreed because it didn't sound unreasonable. The driver gets to the destination and says my total is 340$ - I was shocked and I asked for a break down - I called dispatch and **** was extremely rude because me , a paying customer asked for a breakdown. He said I was being charged "125$ for hook up, 4 per mile (from where the tow truck was to where my car was, which he didn't mention initially) and a 69$ surcharge fuel fee which again he didn't mention initially!, he then said it was 25 miles to get to my car (when according to ****** maps their location is ********** 5-6 miles from. Where my car was) and 11 miles to my destination which when I googled was 5.4 miles - he agreed to lower my destination miles because was was caught it scam. I ended up pay 314$ for my car to be dropped of 10 mins away from where it was!!! I called again and asked for a manager **** because **** was not helpful and super rude . I was a woman alone with a sleeping 2 year old in the back and I was arguing with 2 males the driver and the dispatcher.

      MISREPRESENTATION On Wednesday 4/19/23, my wife, while driving home from school, was ran off the road on I-290 East in ******** and got a flat tire. She ******d towing companies near me and Speedy G Towing came up. She called at 4 p.m. and was told by the dispatcher that a tow truck would be there in ***** minutes. She then called me and I went to Discount Tire in Countryside to meet her. At 4:45 p.m. I called her. She is still waiting. She calls and was told the truck was 10 minutes out. At 5:15, I call her. She is still waiting. Weather is starting to get bad (bad thunderstorm rolling in). She calls again and is told hes stuck in traffic but is **** minutes away. Fifty minutes later (6:05 p.m.), he still has not arrived. I depart to drive up to her to change the tire in the rain. At 6:20, while I was about five minutes from her, the tow truck finally arrives. I turn around to meet her back at Discount Tires. She asks the driver why was he so late. He tells her that he didnt get the call from the dispatcher UNTIL 5:30 p.m. SO, she had been sitting on the shoulder for 90 minutes, during rush hour and bad weather, thinking the truck was on its way AND had been told several times that it was. ALL LIES. I called the Speedy G number and discovered that they are based in **********, about 25 miles away. I have attached her screenshot of her search which says ********, **. I asked to speak to the manager but he was gone for the day. We were charged $525 (60 miles roundtrip at $4.00 per mile, a $90 fuel surcharge (!), and a $195 hook/tow charge). RIDICULOUS. Have called multiple times for five days asking to speak to the manager. Have left messages, been hung up on, or my call goes directly to voicemail. He has never called back. We looked at their Yelp, BBB, and ****** Reviews. HORRIBLE. But when youve just been run off the road and you ****** tow truck near you, youre not in the right frame of mind to look at reviews.

      On May 3rd 2023 I called Speedy Towing to have my mini van towed to my house. The charge was more than double what competitors. I've discovered that there are endless complaints from other victims of this extreme gouging. A company like this should be shut down.

      On 4/17/** I used H3**5363**73734343530H ** services (invoice # **-80157). I had a truck located at *********************************************. The truck needed gasoline so H3**5363**73734343530H G dispatched a service truck. When I inquired about pricing, I was told it would be $295/hr from dispatch of the truck to return of the truck plus cost of parts/gas/labor. I inquired about a minimum to the dispatcher. He repeated that the hourly rate is $295/hr from truck dispatch to truck return. There was never a minimum mentioned. I first requested the service truck at 1:00pm on 4/17/**. The service truck showed up 30 minutes later at 130pm. The truck finished its work at 140pm. Even if you added on 30 more minutes for the truck to return back, that only adds up to 70 minutes. However I was charged for 2.5hrs/150 minutes. This minimum was never discuss or disclosed. I would like a refund to my card for the over-billed 80 minutes (****hrs) at $295/hr = $392.35. I have called H3**5363**73734343530H G numerous times and left numerous messages. Your dispatchers put me on hold, hang up on me, or just let my call keep ringing. They have also taken my information down and promised to have someone call me back. I finally have spoken to someone and they told me they will not change the bill. I inquired about rates prior to using your service. I also inquired about minimums. I was given false information prior to using your services. Please refund $392.35 to the card used for invoice **-80157. *******************************

      On April 8th 2023 I requested speedy g towing to tow my truck from ************************************************. They quoted me a price of $125 for the hook up and $4/ mile to my house at ***********************************************, I agreed because this is the standard amount other companies charge at approximately $209. I left my husband to wait with the vehicle because I had to be at an appointment. When the driver got there he had my husband who has a traumatic brain injury sign a paper stating that they will also be charging $4/mile for 18 miles to get to the truck which equals $72, $114 for fuel, and a $26.66 convenience fee making the total bill $421.66. This is outrageous and price gouging! They are preying on people who are in a difficult situation, misrepresenting their prices and committing unfair business practices

      I called this company on the morning of March 24th 2023 and explained that I had a flat tire and needed a tow to ******** ******* is approximately no more than 4 miles away from my home. The gentleman I spoke with over the phone told me the cost is $125 plus 4 dollars per mile. I calculated the price to end up being $141. When we arrived at ******* the gentlemen told me that my price was $325.00; I explained to him that's not what I was quoted. He told me that was the price. I then called the company back and I was rudely spoken to over the phone and told this is the price. The driver then told me that if I did not pay he would keep my car up on the flat bed and take it and inbound it with additional charges at his shop. I called the police and they told me it is a civil matter; they could not help me. I gave the guy my discover card. He told me it is preferred that I pay with ***** or cash app. I told him no way. He then told me it would be an additional charge. I ended up paying $346.94; for this tow service. What he did not realize is that I have the ability to file a law suit and to report this erroneous action to the ************************* AFTER READING THE ADDITIONAL REVIEWS IN THE BBB ON THIS COMPANY; THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE CRIMINAL. I WILL FILE A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THIS COMPANY. THEY DID THIS TO THE WRONG PERSON. IT IS A SHAME!!!!!!! THEN THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME A RECEIPT, THANK GOD I USED MY DISCOVER CARD. Finally, the tow driver told me and I quote "people say they are going to *** all the time, and no-one ever does anything"; He said to me its nothing you can do. Well I'm about to find out.

      This company charged us $495 with a $33.41 convenience fee after completing a daytime tow. We were not told the price prior to the tow and the advertisements suggested a much lower price. Unfortunately, my young adult daughter was terrified on the side of the road and didn't see the awful ****** reviews before calling them. When I called to question the price I was accused of being rude for questioning the pricing. When I asked for a breakdown of charges they said it was $195 for the hook up and then $4 a mile. We were towed 6 miles. So even if the tow came from like 60 miles away, which that would not have been impossible in the time they made it to us from the initial call, that math does not add up. The are taking advantage of people in a vulnerable position. I was told to call on Monday to talk to the business office and I tried only to not be connected to anyone and left on hold.

      On 2/1/23 around noon I called this company to ask for a quote to tow my truck from ******* to *********** and they quoted me in the phone $295/hour. I accepted and gave them the details. They arrived around 4:30 PM and my truck truck arrived at the destination by 5 PM. At 5:30 PM they sent me an invoice for $1773.95 with a list of charges that were not previously advised on the telephone. I called and spoke to them asking why those charges hadnt been advised on the phone when I asked for pricing and they said they were standard charges that the company charged. They advised I had to pay via Zelle or else they were going to tow my truck back to their yard and I would incur additional charges for the extra towing and storage charges at their yard. This is truly unacceptable in todays economy, I truly feel these charges are not legitimate nor fair.$298.95 Fuel $885.00 3 hours towing $295.00 Dispatch admin fee $295.00 Double pick-up/book lift fee
