    We hired Brown Fence Company to install a fence for our inground pool. Installation was to begin early July 2023 but did not start until early November when the crew seeded the majority of the posts and left the site.

    November 6, 2023, I received a text message from the pool company advising that the fence company had hit plumbing lines for the pool. The pool company came out on November 10, 2023 to dig up fence posts to find the leak and fix the plumbing. Repairs came to $577.50.

    I never received any contact from the fence company about the hit. On November 10, 2023, I notified them that the crew working on the fence had hit the line, that the pool company was fixing it, and requesting they come out to see what needs to be to done to finish installation.

    November 16, 2023, Brown fence company notified me that material would be delivered soon, and they would be out to finish the install and get the new posts set where the pool plumbing was hit. Fence installation was finally complete on December 6, 2023.

    Opening the pool this spring, a leak in the system was identified. Pressure testing lead to another hit in the pool plumbing by a fence post. The fence company tried to fix the plumbing themselves with a concrete patch and adding extra concrete to the post. The pool company has kept the pipe for documentation. The costs for locating the leak, repairs, and excess pool chemicals due to not being able to run the filter for an extended length of time came to $2151.00.

    I notified the fence company of the second hit on May 11, 2024 and again on June 6, 2024. I received notification on June 11, 2024, that the fence company would be out to make repairs to the fence, but no one has been out.

    June 16, 2024, I forwarded the invoice from the pool company to Brown fence company requesting they cover the cost due to their lack of disclosure about the hit. They responded that there was no second hit to the plumbing.

    Want: costs of repairs covered and fence repaired.
