    I wanted to return a purchase one week after receiving it as a gift and was told that the item was sold on consignment and money could not be refunded. My husband was not told it was a consignment sale and that a refund would not be possible. The return policy is very clear and I dont understand why they wont give a refund. There is not a description of the diamonds that were purchased, when buying from this store several times in the past (before new owners) we never had an issue.

    This items was purchased as a gift and was also a memo item not owned by the store. The item can be returned for store credit. The receipt states that special orders will receive store and gift recipients will receive store credit. This was a memo item that was purchased as a gift, so it falls under the special order and gift recipient categories.

    From what I understand from a phone call I made to the BBB on Friday December 6th the business is now stating that a refund is not possible because it was a gift,not the original explanation of a consignment sale, and only an in store credit is possible. The receipt states a full refund within 30 days, after 30 days gift recipients will receive in store credit. I tried to get a refund within two weeks. I have now been given two explanations why I cant have a refund. This is a small town business that we have supported for years and under the new owners they have proven to me they are running a dishonest business.
